It's good to see people finally fighting back if we can't rely on our judicial system and the police then we have to take care of it ourselves
Well said. The police are a joke. They only wanna kcuf with innocent people while letting criminals roam on the loose.
Q
We the people in order to form a more perfect union are going to have to orotect ourselves
Yes , and we pay our hard earned taxes to the police .....
Not to mention it's the government's fault we have to have catalytic converters in the first place
@@kuor1979 🤪👈🏻 Q
Law-abiding citizens are fed up with crime and are beginning to fight back.
Against politicians, Or just small time thieves?
gawd i hate law abiding citizens.
@@thatdude3977 let’s start with these petty thieves bc you can’t touch politicians
@@JackL12489 i wouldn't say that. I'd say no one seems to have the balls lol
If millions showed up at their house, no amount of security would stop that.
So glad you broke his hand, just warms my heart.
They should enforce a law that would prohibit recycling centers from excepting catalytic converters, that would make the thieves not want to waste their time stealing them anymore.
They will go blackmarket
About a month ago, l was on the Walmart parking lot eating my lunch and a car started up and it's exhaust was louder than a 16 wheeler. I knew what happened, that person's cat had been stolen. It's hard enough to make car payments and insurance but those converters are expensive. I'd like to put a bunch of razor blades around one so they will cut thier hands up. One man got tired of thieves steal his wheel covers, ( yeah they do that too), he put blades under the covers and next morning there was blood on the ground. Problem solved !
Good for him in beating this thief. Don't let anyone take your property.
Yea and the judges will probably only gave that robber a few days 🙄🙄
I’m glad he fought back
More than that, he took the thief's tools, I love it!
@@YeeHaww He was just trying to get some bread
Been loving these past couple of days. People are fed up. Liquor store owner shoots would be thief in the arm, Smoke shop owner stabs a would be thief almost to death, and now this. It's time these thieves get what they deserve.
Your right seems like people are realizing it wil only get worse
Cops and the judicial system not doing anything
Amen!!!
Liquor store perp parked in a handicap spot. Now he is handicapped. Justice was served with a shotgun.
100% agree
For every hit, he was doing it on behalf.all of us who've had to go threw this. Thank you.
You're the man. Stand up and fight. The hell with what cops say.
I bet if a police cars converter was stolen ..im sue they would take matters into their own hands
love the fact he said he thinks he broke his hand. seems fitting for the crime.
He should have aimed for the head.
it doesnt take much to break hand bones. looked like he was getting good swings in. almost guaranteed to be broken if he connected with a hand.
I had mine stolen right when the lock down started. The loser yanked it so hard, it messed up my O2 meter. My stimulus check was used to fix it.
Thieves are some of the biggest losers on earth. It's bad enough stealing, but stealing from the poor is the lowest of the low!
I can't stand loser thieves.
Lower than snake sh.t
Shouldn't insurance cover that?
@@jimmy821 I thought you could sue for damages after caught honestly they need to charge scrap yards and resellers for accepting them
If your 02 sensor wire gets cut, remove it and you could likely use wire shrink wrap and solder to re connect the wire. You don't always need to replace it. If you had a husband he could do it for you.
If he really pulled a knife, you should've made sure both kneecaps or ankles where broken where he couldn't get away
People are finally realizing that police are good for nothing when it comes to combating this kind of crime.
damn the sad thing is its true. the police are stretched thin and wide and any minor theft will just get forgotten. you literally need to stand up for your own. like, you cant use the excuse that the police will help you. criminals are realizing this. its incredible...
The police are good, they just can't be everywhere and it takes time for them to get to a crime. Give them a break, it isn't a easy job.
“I’m leaving, I’m leaving!” ..as his hand turns to pulp 😂😂😂
Yes totally the best part, hopefully he’s gimpy handed forever now 🤣
Reply should be.....not under your own power your not!
Thank you I was looking for a reply like this I'm leaving had me weak 😂😆😂😅
I think we will see alot more of these incidents where owners fight back.
Stabbed 7 times in 4.1 seconds 😂
Our tax dollars at work doing Nothing...
Not if you live in democratic states, then the owners get charged!
a lot*
Hope someone tries for mine, I removed them and used spark plug adapters for the O2 sensors. xD
People bust their butt for months and years to work for what they have and to see someone trying to take a short cut boils really grids my gears.
Had that happened in California, he'd been arrested for assaulting that poor guy.
Way to go on showing this guy that there are consequences 👏👏👏
Exactly!
00 buckshot to the knees while you're under the car pretty much guarantees it will be the last theft the theif attempts. Can't use a crawler if you're in a wheelchair.

It’ll be the last days of your freedom also.

Not in Texas
A Texan without his peacemaker? He left the house half dressed then. These thieves are so brazen and property damage is on the rise, citizens need to deal out justice on the spot. Cops aren’t on every corner. Good job Mr Photographer.
I wouldn't try to kill anyone doing that, just f----k up his legs and put him out of commission. I have bad hip and right leg and want the thief to see what it's like.
You're right people, police WON'T be around when you need them. WE are the police! !
The police say don't confront the thief, let them take whatever they want, try to get a good description and then call the police 😂😂😂
Good going, bro! I know you and all of us are absolutely tired of having our property taken day in and day out, the police can't do anything until they are called and I get that. But it's nice to see people dealing these pieces of crap some real pain!
The police are afraid of doing anything because of this craziness now aways that are anti police. Next time use a bat, he won't run away.
.
Police don’t do anything ever.
@@elpacho....9254 not true, they also kill unarmed, innocent people.
Why use a lame weapon like a lamp? Take a second to grab a better weapon. The criminal had a knife.....
How about bring a bat and break his legs while hes under the car.
Then call the cops
For your first fight…You did a terrific job..👍🏾
That wasn't a fight.
It’s insanity to confront someone (who is obviously committing a crime) without be armed yourself.
This could have ended poorly.
Maybe someone should look into the police departments who 'have been investigating" the chop shops for years while they keep buying the converters from crooks.
Good job man. Next time make sure he isn't able to walk away, you'll have more peace of mind knowing he won't be able to do that again.
I would break his fingers really bad he won't be able to use them anymore. Who said the crook will sue me? Does he have money to pay a lawyer? Does he even have the time to go after me? Not when he's in extreme pain. Many people had been beat up and never got the chance to retaliate.
Not only that, but he can’t retaliate if his heart isn’t beating.
Good for this citizen. It seems like the criminals are always getting away with bad stuff, but the citizens are paying the price. Well it’s time for regular citizens to protect what’s theirs. I don’t blame him for beating that villain. Pray no one tries to steal his stuff again.
Some of these recycling businesses must be crooked. I lived a block from one in Pullman Chicago that recycled stolen lawn furniture. It is a block from a police station. How does the alderman not know? I could be dead if I talked about this too much. I already had to leave that neighborhood by talking too much..
God bless this man, gotta stand up for yourself
MY HATS OFF TO THIS MAN 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% WE GOTTA PROTECT WHAT'S OURS.
Nice…bad guy gets a permanent injury and loses his tools, bike, and knife.
@Luishous the Werewolf Well whatever he had, he lost it.
his stolen tools, bike, knife more like it
They should start prosecuting the people who are purchasing them from the thieves as well put serial numbers on them and if a chop shop or somebody has them that's been stolen they pay like such a huge fine for even participating in that s*** and you face jail time
They need to crack down on the ones who are buying them from the crooks. If there are no buyers then the stealing will simmer
The title had me worried he merely confronted the guy, but it had a happy ending. The cost to the victim can be thousands. The day they discover it they might have to cancel jobs they were going to do, they've got to pay for the cost of a new converter and installation, and all of the downtime. This thief got what he deserved.
Probably some homeless tweaker and the state will pay his medical bills. But at least he got his thieving hand smashed!
...point blank and so simple...if it" só not
Friend of mine had the exhaust system stolen on a Honda element. 5400! Fortunately they had comprehensive insurance!
Sadly, the thief did NOT get what he deserved, but he did deserve what he got.
@@davidpawson9047 You are so right David !!!
Hopefully his hand is permanently damaged with severe nerve pain.
I'd say he got off easy.
That's how you stand your ground 👍
They got mine last week. I woke up oblivious and in a rush to leave my home, to help a family member. It was frustrating , expensive and I felt helpless. This helped in some way to watch this man fight back!
Beware the wrath of the patient man.
You should arrest anyone who purchases used catalytic converters.
I'd be OK if they shot them. A few hundred get shot and you can be sure there won't be a lot of replacements once there are actual consequences.
There are legitimate catalyst sellers and it would be dumb to let them go to the landfill instead of recycling them.
@@DonziGT230 The junk yards I know take them off in the yard when the cars come in.
@@DonziGT230 No one with a truckload of converters is bringing them to a scrapyard, a legitimate auto repair business has scrapyards picking up from them.
@@DonziGT230 No doubt there is but with all this thievery going on .
If he is a legitimate catalyst seller he frequents the same scrapyards
If he is getting his supply from scrap cars he should have to supply vin number of donor vehicle and address for each vehicle
Kudos to this guy!
I'm thinking about one of those electric cattle fence systems with a capacitor discharge. Not lethal but the bad guy could never touch the vehicle and the ground at the same time. The next level up would be a bare extension cord end to the bumper... and no GFCI on the plug.
I love seeing videos like this keep it going leave people s*** alone or suffer the consequences ☠️
I LOVE hearing about all these would-be victims turning the tables on these piece of crap degenerates that are plaguing our society and our neighborhoods! I've ALWAYS made them regret messing with me and MY family, in various ways, and I'm glad others are finally sticking up for themselves as well. Once these outcasts realize there are consequences, that COULD turn deadly for them, then MAYBE we can go back to living our lives in what peace we can...
Yep. Liberals have been coddling these people for too long
Kneecapping would have ensured he wasn’t going to get too far until the police arrived.
My Dads worksite materials were frequently being stolen the following night after they were dropped off. It was happening everywhere in the small town in Canada where I was from back in the 80s. Most of my family were carpenters, and my uncle got fed up! Being close to the ocean the worksite were mostly sand so my uncle placed a 2×4 with nails poking out just below the sand level. The would be thieves blew out both tires that night, and just left their van. They took the license plate off but forgot to take the insurance papers. The police caught this wonderful sample of diversity is our strength and found an incredible amount of construction material in the guys basement. My Dad got his stuff back because he marked all his materials with spray paint the night before. We have many stories of thieves in the job sites. Lots of them are caught but most are just let go. Our judicial system is only a fraction of what it used to be. If my uncle would have done something like that today he would of been charged for some looney liberal lefty made up garbage...so sad. Canadians are not allowed to fight back and defend or protect what belongs to us.
Dude after this confrontation you need to be extra cautious. Might not be a bad idea to get something better for defense. That something should only used for DEFENSE.
Good for the photographer! You can tell he's generally mild-mannered, but, like all of us, he's sick of this crap. Time to make the criminal pay.
Got himself smacked up
Given the circumstances, he should have used lawful means to stop him permanently and been done with it. Before you say anything about it not being legal in these circumstances, research Texas use of force laws, they clearly would have been an affirmative defense for stopping the criminal permanently.
Exactly
I don’t care if it’s “legal,” taking someone’s life is something you have to live with, and knowing it wasn’t necessary would haunt most people. Getting a “like” from an internet badass is short lived consolation…

Give this man a medal!
What I don’t understand is they don’t want us to take the law in our own hands but the cops always show up late. How is this problem supposed to get rectified?
It's not, that's why they punish law abiding citizens when they protect what's theirs
@@shinyamada488 people make me laugh, as if the cops know it's going to happen, and they're just gonna be waiting around the corner.
When seconds count, cops are minutes away. You really don't matter to them.... have you not figured that out?

I guess if a knife was flashed the owner was within his rights to shoot the guy dead under the van.
GOOD JOB BRO FOR YOUR FIRST TIME 👍
Nice job!!! Beat the crap outta that guy while he was stuck under the van. I'm sure you did some damage.
I mean….I’m some countries they cut the hands off of people who steal……food for thought next time.
ROFL
Tru dat!
True. But no ones really wants to live in those countries for other reasons.
@@ksb2112 Like, because, US drones are constantly bombing civilians and destabilizing nations there?
@@abrahamgoodchild4940 No. Because nations that do that in the first place have bigger social ills going on in the first place.
The actual problem here is the fraudulent "scrap" recycling yards buying the converters, no questions asked. Same as shady pawn shops.
Very nice. So proud of the man for breaking the thief’s hand.
Without a market to sell them, this wouldn’t be happening. Go after the salvage yards and the problem will stop.
This victim is a super heroe!!!!!!! We are supposed to protect our things, how are we supposed to let it happen, miss work, possibly loose our job, and not be able to fix car? Is human nature to stand up , fight and protect.
Yeah, but the US justice system is so messed it up it punishes the victim! One guy shot a thief and killed him, ended up getting charged with murder. One of my friends had the same happen to him. My friend actually did end up doing time (I don't know the outcome of the other guy).
Great work hero of law and order. We need more of those
Love it, good on you 👏👏👏
Thief- "I'm Leaving, I'm Leaving!"
Van Owner- "Yeah, but you're taking a Beating along with you when you go!", LOL!
It appears like the Van Owner kept the bag of tools so not only did the Thief NOT get the Converter, he also lost his "Tools of the Trade" making this an Expensive night. It'll surprise me if the Thief doesn't come back and file a Civil Suit against the Van Owner for "Damages, Pain and Suffering, Loss of Income, etc", LOL! 🤣
Van owner should be fine in Dallas. In Austin he would be f'd.
Politicians need the same treatment!
That's a shame to steal people property.
This "shame" is dying faster these days.
Time to be a concealed carry holder my friend. This way law enforcement doesn’t have to look for anyone. They can simply tag ‘em and bag ‘em.
Law enforcement needs to step up its game. It's long overdue. Sick of all this expensive, feckless public sector mediocrity. It'd also help if the courts did their part and earned their pay for a change.
Some of those stolen converters in the box had the "cages" still on them that people were offering for sale to prevent them from being stolen! I guess nothing will stop a determined thief except a determined owner!
Just takes them a few minutes more to cut through. If that.
I'd be inclined to set up extra low motion cams & door/window type alarms to get my attention. Put those alarms on some temporary obstruction they have to move to crawl under & alert goes off in your home.
None of the so called anti theft ideas will stop them, cages, cables, engraving VIN numbers or the dumbest one I've heard of is painting them. All of them are a waste of money, get an alrm, a loud sensitive alarm or park your vehicle in the garage at night.
“Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.”

If he broke his hand, i'd hope he'd require medical evaluation, and there you have it, suspect caught "Red Handed"
Ahhh pure satisfaction! Thanks for sharing this video!
if I ever caught someone doing this to my car, I'd go outside, release the car jack, and walk back inside and go back to sleep
they often target raised up trucks or vans like this and can just sneak under without a jack.
It's illegal to modify your vehicle by removing converter theifs should be charged with modification to vehicle after they had their head stomped in
They should charge them with grand larceny instead of petty larceny since the owner is going to be out an amount over the GL threshold.
Have a cover plate or brace custom welded to make it even harder to remove!
Mine was stolen last yr in Houston.
This has been a prevalent issue everywhere!
I have one of those vans ( 1999 ford e250 ) those have 4 converters like most Ford vehicles from the 90's to the middle of the 2000's. Good for that guy protecting his property. I am glad I don't have the original converters on mine (plugged) anymore.
Politicians can stop this with one law making it illegal to sell or buy used catalytic converters. With out a license register with the state. Photos of every seller and ID.
it won't matter if the parts get to Mexico
The GQP+ would oppose such 'socialist' regulations.
@@dbmorton1114 What's GQP?
@@kotk05 It used to be called the GOP until it was overrun by Q crackpots, kooks and cranks and neo-Nazis, hence the GQP+.

Good on him!
"Hello, 911? I found a body full of bullet holes under my van. No idea how it got there."

Never give a thief an even break
They should be able to get finger prints off the tools, pretty sure he would have a record. Seems like he knew what to bring with him.
That's so cute you think cops care 🥺
great job Sir👍👍👍
He pulled out that golf club and said nope, you ain’t getting my Cadillac converter today 🙌🏼
Good on that guy, show no mercy.
It seems he has awakened his inner man.
Good. We need that more.
Legend has it his balls grew 5x as big that day.
So he wasn’t scared, folks need to watch what they say I think I would be scared for my life!
Cut off the criminals right hand!
My son's car was vandalized but they removed the wrong part. Living in Alaska, it is going to take months to get one and the parts are on back order so his car is extremely loud now. Stupid thieves 🤬
So much for the rebar protection.
Yea, I've seen a few of these 'anti-thefts', many people haven't a clue of what they're doing. In their defense, the rebar would have probably stopped someone that only had a tube cutter, but most thieves use a saw. Doing something similar with cable can be fairly effective. Another thing that can work is to put a tube loosely over the rebar so that it spins as they try to cut though it, but it's hard to do it effectively.
@@DonziGT230 I think the point is to make it as difficult as we can for them to steal it.
@@sal2975 Yes, but the rebar will just add a few seconds of inconvenience, not much of a deterrent.

Some people will always make the choice to take from others instead of being a productive member of the community. You can see how sympathizing and rationalizing as the professionals tell us is the way to fix it doesn't work. In fact it makes it much much worse.
Well done Sir. Never stop hitting them..............
Law enforcement is absolutely useless on this
In most cases!
And yet they have time to write chickenshit tickets.
