GOD BLESS YOU!!!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! You are such an outstanding instructor and are providing much-needed help with this procedure. Again, God bless you and thank you so much!!!!! (June 2022)
Fantastic video Subraman!! Very clear and precise. Makes most of the jobs a lot easier while preparing these photos for OCI registration/renewal. Brilliant work and thank you.
Big big thanks to you. Without your video I could not have figured out how to do this pic for OCI card. I received my card . Without your help it felt like impossible task for a person not that tech savvy like me 😟
Fantastic video. Extremely helpful. I was just reading through the conditions of OCI, etc. and was wondering how I can prepare the photo and signature. This video came to the rescue. Thank you very very much Sir, for your excellent work.
Hello Sir, Thank you for this most helpful video. It was a life saver. I was able to prepare my photographs and signatures using your precise guidelines. Thanks again and Best Regards.
Sir, thanks a lot for precise instructions. We are not familiar with cropping and validating in pixels (or aspect ratio), so this video is extremely helpful.
Thank you for explaining brilliantly, when it came to doing I was clean board. Would very much appreciate if you could help me sort out the following. First I should share with you what I have. 1. Mac mini 2018 model, 2.Latest laptop with window 11. and a printer HP Laser Jet Professional M 1217, prints in black. 1. Is not having window 10 an impediment? If not how to do the job you explained so nicely, on window 11 2. How to scan on my printer, do you think my coloured photo would come in black and white since I don’t have coloured printer. 3. Scanning feature on my printer seems to have disappeared, or very likely my incompetency is working on 100% potency. Thank you.
thanks this was very hlepful ,quick question: the application says " Please provide 2 most recent passport size color photos (not older than 6 months) of the applicant (hard copies). • Photos must be 2-inch x 2-inch in size, in color, depicting front pose against a white/ plain light (pale) background with dark colored dress on photographic paper. • The physical photo must be affixed on the physical application form and the digital photo must be uploaded on Govt. form online. The physical and uploaded photograph must be identical" , if I am using an existing old digital pic, how to work around this requirement?
Your video really helped. Great job explaining step by step! I was struggling to add my signature and was very frustrated by getting a message “Invalid signature “ .
hi, very good vide. Sir you forgot to inform one step while we checked the size in paint is ok. Before save as we must press crop one else JPEG size is too large as it is also taking the background into image consideration
Hello Subraman can you please advise. My daughter is filling form to renew her OCI card after completing 20 years of age. There is a question on the form that asks... Have you surrendered /got your previous overseas citizen of India card cancelled. We had to get her card renewed back in 2015 as she had new passport. So her old card was cancelled at that time. Do we have to say yes for the above question and give them the details of that old card Please advise thank you
Hi i am Indian citizen, My wife is applying oci from her own country and i am residing in another country for work. Do i need to present there ( my wife country physically ) for her or my sons application?
Hi Subraman thanks for wonderful content you are sharing . I generated digitial photo and signature using same size and pixels as you mentioned .But when I am trying to paste physical photo on top of digital photo in OCI application form ,its not overlapping because size of digital photo embedded on OCI application form is 1.5*1.5 but physcial photo is 2*2. Is this fine or something wrong happened from my end ? please suggest
Hello Sheela. Sorry but I did not see your message in a timely manner. Scan at a lower dpi to reduce size of documents. 200 dpi usually works well or try 100 dpi if that does not work. Hope this is helpful.
Thanks for instructions, really helpful. However they have now changed the dimension requirement The height and width of the Applicant Photo must be equal. The minimum dimensions are 200 pixels (width) x 200 pixels (height). The maximum dimensions are 1500 pixels (width) x 1500 pixels (height). The height and width of the Signature Photo must have aspect ratio 1:3 The minimum dimensions are 200 pixels (width) x 67 pixels (height). The maximum dimensions are 1500 pixels (width) x 500 pixels (height).
Excellently done. (Is any country in the world ask this kind of high tech input from lay customers, for any purpose? Part of departmental easy to do business initiative I think.)
First we have to upload the photo in online application, then print the application and attach the photo print 3 in x 3 in. to it. This is the process in Canada. You might have it different in USA. You uploaded it, how to get the print. Which paper we can use for it to look like as if it is taken from a photo studio. The photo prints are very expensive. For last visa application they asked me to pay 26 dollars for digital file and another 26 dollars for printout, this is very expensive. I want to apply for OCI and they say I have to take another photo and pay 52 dollars plus 13 % tax. This is stupid. Photo studios in USA and Canada are robbing customers like this. If you could give the paper we can use on printer or any other resource where we can upload the photo and get the paper prints that would be helpful.
Thank you Sir, Much Appreciated. Even educated persons are baffled by the OCI guidelines.
Thank you so much for your detailed & very easy to follow instructions in plain English
I would say nothing less than spoon feeding babies 😊
