Hi, Thank you for uploading this informative video. In the video (at minute 14:02) you mentioned that to add Canadian Passport details, but on the instructions that is provided on Online OCI services, it says "As per Indian Passport or Birth Certificate".

Im a bit confused, the checklist says original AND copy of surrender certificate, Indian and foreign passports, but you mentioned only copies are required. I see a few others mentioned photocopies too. Is there a discrepancy in their guidelines and practice? I would love to hear yes, just wondering why...

Thank you very much for the video...I have a question please....In my Indian passport I have only GIVEN NAME....(Surname is blank), But in the new Canadian passport, GIVEN NAME is blank and the Given Name in Indian Passport is entered as SURNAME . So shall I enter the name as per the Indian Passport in the OCI application ? Will this difference create any issue ?
@@mandeepkaur-gu8sw I checked with BLS. They told to put XXX as the given name and enter the first name as per Canadian passport. Basically, it needs to match Canadian passport. Probably XXX will be there in OCI Card as well

Govt has also advised to convert my Pio card to Oci. Hence I need to apply for OCI (IN LIEU of PIO).
