I asked few of my friends who recently send their application via post and they had submitted only the self attested copy of Canadian Passport. The same advice was given to me by BLS call Center, I will be sending only the attested photocopy of Canadian passport

Thanks for all the info. Just a question. It asks for 'place' when you submit the online form on the passport website. You typed in Toronto in there. I live in Brampton but my jurisdiction is Toronto. What should I put in 'place' ?

Hi Urvi, just received the surrender certificate printed copy and Indian passport back. However, they did not send me back the Original Canadian passport that I sent as well. Do they send separately?
The information booklet states in Section g that we are expected to upload online a color photo. It goes on to say that the uploaded pictures should be the same as physical photograph pasted on the form. Could you please clarify on this?

If you are submitting via mail they don’t allow by Canada post. It has to be purolator

Please call BLS, and request for shipping label. They will create one for you. Recently they have increased the price as well.

Purulator guys will come to your home on your selected time. Do print the label and the payment receipt.

At the pickup option the first field Number of Applicants do not let select more than one applicaiton. Do you know how can I set the pickup for 3 applications?

Hello, I have a question regarding personal details, as my last name on the cabadian passport got added whereas on indian passport I didn't have last name mentioned. Only given name. In that case what should I do? Please help me this.
They will reject the application of there is a difference in Name. In most cases they ask to fill in the form using Indian passport details. You can call BLS and check with them.

Call their call centre and choose pick up and it will connect with courier sales and they will provide 2 way delivery services as their online link has issue. I just did mine.

I sent my Canadian PP and received it back. Its up to you if you want to take a chance.

Yes the process remains the same. You can call BLS to check if any additional doc is required

No, it does not show amount! That’s fine. BLS needs transaction number for their reference

Thank you for the video. A question: My shipment has reached BLS center a few days back but when I checked applicant date or birth is wrong on the portal (its correct in APPLICATION FORM FOR SURRENDER OF INDIAN PASSPORT ). Do you know why this happened?

If anything is missing BLS will send the application back with a letter. Keep checking if the status updates to Processing at High commission that means your application is accepted! Good Luck & Subscribe 😊

No, surrender is mandatory for OCI. You may be able to get eVisa without Surrender, but not recommended

They don’t allow bunching, you’ll have to pay separate as both are different applications. I had to do the same.

Creating online label is not available now. You have to call them right? Is there a link to create the label I don't know of?

Yes he will bring the envelope, You know those plastic transparent page separator you get, I put my documents in them while sending multiple files. Good Luck 👍

Hi. 2 days back i went to bls office to surrender my passport. In emergency details in form i filled name phn no of my husband. But they said there is a option of address which is missing in form. I said there is just one space in front of name and address so how can we fill nane and address both in one given space. They said you can write name of the person and thn comma , thn address of person. So they declared my form incomplete and ask me to come again . But they know very well there was no appointment available. so they said they would charge 45 dollar extra nd fill that form again. I had no option so i let them fill the form . So please fill complete information otherwise this could happen with you also.bcz i noticed most of people filled same like me and were paying extra dollars. Thank you

Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. Since a 1.5 month ! Passport is stuck. Do we need to check status daily or do we get notification when they ship back ?

Hi, could you advise where did you get the money order if you got one. I got from canada post and they said they cannot write the complete name as they have character restrictions of 25 characters. So they wrote BLS Intl. services CanadaInc

I got the oath done so applying for surrender certificate.. but my spouse will do oath after 20more days.
If i am filling and submitting this application tomorrow then i will choose Spouse's nationaility as India ...correct?
Because when submitting he is still Indian tomorrow.
Will it create any problem later? Because consulate is taking 4 to 6 weeks to process surrender certificate so if they are still processing it then my spouse will be Canadian citizen in 20days.

Hello uncleji, there are two types of charges 1. Processing fees for your application which you need to pay to BLS by creating a draft and 2. Courier Fees - Pick up and drop off fees, this will be calculated based on the distance of your house to BLS processing centre. You can pay this via card.
You can also choose to call BLS and they will create a label for you over phone. Hope this helps, Do like my video and subscribe 😊

A representative of PUROLATOR will collect documents on Monday, 6th November. I understand from BLS International Services Canada Inc that fee is $129.40. So we got issued a demand draft of $129.40.
