    Hi Ryan, I'm a 17 years old who belongs to India and i just wanna tell you that stoicism philosophy had so much effects on me. I'm better at studies than i just to be. I'm better at relationships, temperament, over thinking and all sorts of things because of both reading about stoicism and 'Bhagawat Geeta' which is the go to holy book that is full of daily required wisdom for us hindus. Bhagawat geeta tells me about the duties and responsibilities i have toward the world and my surroundings and stoicism is like a magfiying glass that keeps the check of my day to day improvement and weaknesses. It has helped me alot to improve, get better, focus on my studies, not wasting time, make something of myself. Can't wait to improve even more and read tons of stoic philosophy. Thanks !!!

      I mean, all that aside, someone would need to have some cognitive impairment to not see Trump as a complete narcissist.
      The reality is those people like him knowing he is a narcissist with no backbone of character, because they themselves lack it, that's just a fact.

    • @danishmasih7455
      @danishmasih7455 День назад +2

      What use is courage and virtue if it’s not applied within justice . This video feels more like a narrative than an objective analysis. I agree with some of his points but he is calling out one without calling out the other. Should he not also analyze Harris’s behavior. Is a stoic not meant to make unbiased judgments.

    • @ChauvinistTroll
      @ChauvinistTroll День назад +2

      @danishmasih7455 that's just silly, why reference someone else other than Trump for narcissistic behavior? Ok you're right that Trump could be compared to Orban for example. It just looks like you're trying to dilute Trump narcissism by bringing others.

    • @danishmasih7455
      @danishmasih7455 День назад

      @@ChauvinistTroll I disagree. He is right in calling out trump. But if he is a stoic then he should be calling out Harris as well. That is simply what a stoic ought to do for the sake of justice. The fact is that alot of this criticism can be applied to Harris. One example is that she completely denied any accountability for the border crisis and the 300,000 missing children. She can’t even have her own thoughts without it being planned. Nothing she says is profound because of her constant word salad. It is incompetence at is finest, like Nero. Wouldn’t you rather have a narcissist leader in office who got stuff done, rather than an incompetent leader who on the outside may seem selfless. But aside from my political opinions. We as stoics should be looking at both sides with equal effort as we are rational beings. Not pushing a narrative about only one politician without critiquing the opposition. Also by you saying “you’re trying to dilute trumps narcissism by bringing in others” it seems like you acknowledge that by bringing in the fault of Harris, Trump doesn’t look so bad. This is extreme bias. So what, should we say that we shouldn’t talk about the bad of the other candidates so we can get them to win? Absolutely not. If you are practicing stoicism, please think rationality and with justice.

Treats people and especially women as objects to be used and exploited. Shows no warmth or kindness to his loved ones.Throws allies under the bus immediately. 4. Constantly talks about himself and draws attention to himself by saying outrageous things. Very rarely speaks about his vision for the country and its people. 5. Not many people can stomach working for him, highest turnover of white house staff in recent history, he got many people in legal trouble. 6. He refuses to do his job or take responsibility. 7. He loves dictators and hates vulnerability of any kind. Makes fun of disability. 8. Nero would disguise his face and beat people, until one night someone decided to beat him in self defense. Nero had the man charged with assaulting the monarchy and exiled. Everett also gives accounts of Seneca attempting to “seize the purple” (the throne) in the same book about Nero.

      Yeah. The whole nomination thing was a mess. Made me want to bang my head against the wall. Absolutely everyone knew President Biden wasn't fit to run again and he should have stepped back in time for normal procedure to take place. It was rather ridiculous how he was celebrated for his 'noble decision', when they had to basically drag him off the stage kicking and screaming. It's sad, how desperately people cling to power.
      As for Kamala Harris...I can't say, that she strikes me as a narcissist or a bad candidate per se. If there is 'public evidence' for that, I'm not aware of it. I would look closer into it, if I had a vote in the upcoming election. But since I don't, it hardly seems worth the effort. If she does win, we'll see what we'll see.
      I don't have a doubt, that she is the preferable candidate between the two, though.

    From a stoic perspective, you should make the same video about Harris. This feels very one sided and not representative of what the stoics believed. You could argue the same narrative for Harris however that too would not be standing for justice as stoicism intended. It is only fair to make a video for Harris. You can’t call out one without calling out the other. You are pushing a narrative in that regard instead of pushing the objective truth.

The objective thing to do is to do a video for both candidates in this way. This video is showing the mistakes of Trump while implying that presidents before or after Trump didn't make a single mistake. And we all know that isn't true. Now to be clear I am not defending Trump, I agree that Trump is a character and a half let's just say that. I'll be the first to say that politicians especially the ones running for president should uphold a higher standard of rhetoric and profesionalism but they don't. Not Kamala, not Trump.
