Actually those seats are from the Euro/UK VT model. Likely a replica cover - look to be in too good a shape to be original IMO

13:20 had a Gsr or b16 engine in it already. For $2500 that's a fucking steal. That engine and trans alone is 3-4k when running right.

HMO , Honda motors online , that crx at 16:02 was actually not a bad deal, b16 vtec is one of the most fun b series engines to get , redline 8200 rpm stock , i had a b16a2 swap in my old 99 civic coupe with a gsr transmission, super fun car
I have rebuilt a couple old Honda hatches this last year. They all need tons of major repairs and even when I pass them on to the next owner; they still need work.. When I sell them driving and get beat up on the prices, lots of dreamers out there.
It's a trip how a decent, lower mileage CRX now goes for $30,000 easily now.
Crx has to be up there since people want 50k for a 00 american type r s

I agree. Back when I graduated high school in 2015, these civics and crx cars were so goddamn cheap in Iowa. Hell, there was a nice ass NA Miata for sale for 1600. My friend immediately bought it as I didn't have shit for money because I worked part time. He wrecked it in one of Iowa's brutal winters when the road sucked. I look back, 7 years later, and just ask why I didn't ask my grandpa or dad for 1600?
Vtec b series swap costs about 4 for the engine and trans, plus the rest of the parts needed. Easily 6k for a vtec b swap nowadays unfortunately

23:10 that's dual point, it's throttle body injection, 2 injectors total one is larger like a secondary, carbs stopped in 1987 for USDM Honda cars.

Those floormats in RHD are WELL over 1k if you can find them....
23:30 it’s dual point fuel injection. Basically a tb with 2 injectors main injector and secondary injector. All dx model crxs came factory with them regardless of auto or manual. Some even have egrs on em while most don’t lol always guaranteed 35mpg with that stock setup. D16a6 si’s will get 40mpg with multipoint fuel injection. And hf models vary from 45-60mpg. Which is multipoint also. 88-91 civics 92-00 civic dx models also used the dpfi setup as well.

Wrong 92+eg(aka round) was all mpfi fuel econo was 1.5 and if you had a ex si then you got the d16z6 for the ek 96+ you got a 1.6 no matter what it was just if you got a ex then you got a d16y8 vtec
You’re right 92-00 models had the tb but 4 injectors instead of 2. My guess was to improve efficiency over just using 2 injectors but still being pretty restricted by that tb. Nice correction.

Back in 2002 one of my pals took a nice 1990 CRX and tried to turbo it with a junk turbo off a Subaru in a junkyard. He kept telling us how awesome it was going to be and how he knew what he was doing and how it was going to be the coolest car in our county. He absolutely destroyed that car. After he absolutely raped the engine, he got pissed off and ruined the rest of the car. To this day if I want to piss him off I bring up that car

For the third one auto crxs are easier to kswap, cause the area for the transmission is bigger, so yeah there ya go, you do need a bulged hood tho, cause it wont close
The transmission is in the engine bay, how could there be two different engine bay sizes on one chassis

Its like talking to Beavis and Butthead they deserve the trash they are finding. They have no taste and def no value they neither know how to appreciate anything that has lasting value. These cars with just 10000 to 15000 become little dream machines running 10s and 11s with AWD and NA or Turbos these guys are stupid.
16:32 They did make a vtec crx, the SiR model in japan was a dohc vtec zc engine. It made like 160 horsepower. we never got them though. Although i agree that the vtec part was added, i do believe there were a few oem leather CRX seats, and they are worth a good bit if clean.

edit cuz I think I'm wrong. common misconception I suppose.. the SiR models with the bulge in the hood, I have that hood and i have seen it referred to as the zc hood multiple times
I have a dohc zc they make about 130
The zc engine and b16 are very different. Zc is a dual overhead cam d series and much less powerful.

Man, all the hate just for paint. All of these cars are so rust free compared to what I'm used to. If you bought them all at asking price, they would all sell for 8-12k locally.

The parts that are there make the car in my opinion, if it has intact ac controls $400 original seats untorn$600 taillights$600 rust is easy finding parts in good condition is the hard part.

These guys do realize that there are states or one state that does and always has had a cloud on their license plates right? I mean I am not sticking up for the "genius" (noticed I used quotes for that lol) that painted their CRX hood a cloudy day and all but sometimes a little bit of research goes a long ways...
The license plate literally reads "KLOUDY", i don't think all the license plates in that state are like that.

Some of those was trash tho the only thing that was good was the white crx the obviously good one then it was the auto with rims (which finding oem wheels and taking the cracked paint off it would bring it to a good condition) then the red semi wrecked si was okay the rest are modified and repainted
