    Thanks for sharing. Very interesting Japanese way of cooking. My questions. You deep tempura in sauce, this means you need to eat right away, if not will go soggy less less than 1 mins. :(

    Measurements: 1 cup self rising flour, 1 cup cornstarch, 2 eggs and ice cold water, no measurement on water, just pour it in, stir until smooth.

    The tempura batter is too thick, the batter is not the main ingredient in tempura. Tempura dough is made by steaming the ingredients to make them crispy and tender.

    It looks really good but it’s not cool when you don’t share the ingredients. I don’t know if that’s flour or tempura mix? I would really appreciate it if you let me know. Thank you!🙏🏾

      One egg refrigerated water I’m guessing a cup 4 cups flour mix with chopsticks to get the bubble affect and put some ice in to keep it cool

    i am from the UK , what type of flour did you use? can you post the recipe in english?
    - is cake flour the same as PLAIN flour or SELF RAISING flour?
    - is All purpose flour the same as PLAIN flour or SELF RAISING flour?

    • @minecrafterstone3971
      @minecrafterstone3971 3 года назад +4

      Cake flour tend to be a finer grind of flour,self raising has baking soda or powder already in it,so no,theyre not the same as plain flour.All purpose flour is plain flour however.

      Cake flour is used for it's low gluten. Gluten makes tempura tough and soggy.

    If you dip the tempura in liquids before serving wouldn't it be soggy? Wonder what's the science or experience behind that

    So no salt and pepper to the batter?

    • @tuned2me
      @tuned2me 3 года назад

      I have seen many recipes for tempura batter. None have salt or pepper. The Japanese like to let the flavors of the food come through. Also sauces used for dipping add flavor. Sot sauce is salty by itself, so no need to add salt if using soy sauce.
