11 dollars for oil-filled shocks on eBay and another 12 dollars for foam tires on eBay and it would be a blast on an indoor carpet track. We have been racing the cheap brushed UDI RC rally cars on a carpet track with cheap 12 foam tires and it is too much fun!
12$ is 1/4 of the price of the whole car! Hahahah 😂
Hbx makes quality stuff, This looks like a 2188A with a new body and lights. great product for the smooth surface, not so much for this road though. I had tons of fun with my HBX 2188A.
That coped so well for such a small ground clearance. Very impressive especially for the price. Hbx mjx etc are giving some of the more expensive brands some competitors. Hopefully, wltoys will get back in the game.
WLtoys have been very quiet lately. Could be the end or if not the end may be close. MJX, HBX and Rlaarlo have taken over the cheap rc world!
For $50 bucks?? Heck yeah. I would buy two so a friend could mess around with me too. Fun out in the garage down the driveway on a thrown together track… again, heck yeah

These work Really well in indoor carpet, the udirc on road rc or the sg1603 on road rc are the ones I used (both under $70). Theyre the best quality at this price (and hbx rc's), as compared to other amazon ones I used and gave to the kids
You have to turn on/off the gyro with the toggle switch under the body. The Transmitter range of about 50ft is it's downfall.

Back in the mid 80s I would as a kid loved it. But for 50 you got a wire tethered only turns in reverse crap box lol

Is this car twichy like 1/16 scale sg trucks etc or does it have better steering and can maintain a straight line at full speed...also i saw the gyro working on othet videos,did you get this one working...thanks for sharing..looks like nice little racer/drifter.
How to distinguish friction dampers from hydraulic dampers? I have a Reely Stagger and would like to know what dampers are on it.
Oh you will know haha.. is it super bouncy? Take the shocks apart is there oil?
@@beyondRC It's not bouncy, there is proper dampening. I just would have expected the response to be more subtle.
I wouldn't want to take them apart right now, since they are still brand new. But maybe I will get me another set of dampers and keep the originals for spare.
@@christiannasca3520 don’t be afraid to get hands on dude. New or not it’s very easy to unscrew the top cap and check.. or just google search the model and do some research. We get lots of questions like this daily and a simple search is all that’s required to find out 👌😎
@@beyondRC It's alright. I bought the kit model and built it all by myself. Only the dampers were already assembled.
Maybe I'll try to unscrew the top and take a look... and hopefully not spill the oil, if there is any.
@@beyondRC I just figured out from the spare parts sold online that the original shock absorbers of the Reely Stagger are indeed hydraulic. Maybe I will upgrade some day to better quality ones with more subtle movement. But for now they should be ok.
