This is crazy impressive! I've been away from RC for about a decade but speed runs were my obsession. I remember how stoked I was to break 115 mph with an Ofna GTP2e back then. I had no idea there are guys breaking 220mph now. This is insane! Crazy how stable that car is. I remember pouring lead weights into pop cans to make weighted discs and attatching them to the front bumpers to keep the front end planted and lining the inside of the body with layers of duct tape and plastic to keep it from deforming. Awesome job!

Well heres the deal. Kevin is a basher with very little speed running experience,
Raz has been around awhile but years less than myself, we all helped Raz get to were he is today speed wise way back when he started ,
I just enjoy what I do and I am not in it to grow a youtube channel

@@jamesmccoy204 One more question if you don't mind. You are the WORLD record holder. That's kind of a big deal! Yeah, it RC cars, but shouldn't you be in Guinness or something? Or is that a whole different pain in the a$$ process and just not something you are really worried about tackling? You mentioned you aren't trying to grow a YT channel, but you should have the recognition! That is a LOT of $, time, and especially experience. At very minimum, other record attempters should be acknowledging you out of respect alone. I would think/hope anyway.
@deejaytrizay Most of the important people in speed running recognize me as the Record holder, It doesn't fit with the agenda of just a few as it takes focus off what they do , Unfortunately they mean to only better themselves,
As far as Guinness goes, it is very expensive to go through the process to be in the there book.
With the Record speed changing so much over the last few years it would be a waste, however when things level off I will pursue it

First, the threshold of breaking 150 was so rare and close to impossible but we’ve broken that threshold when we touched 200. Now we are leaving 200 mph in the dust and approaching 250mph with all this momentum.

I don't think 250 is possible in a stock length car. Another RUclipsr Kevin Talbot is building a car that could get there but it is basically 2 stock cars so twice the length. Then we have the nemesis of any RC speed chaser....tyres !
@@dazuk1969 He has an idea on how to deal with the weight and speed on the tyres, but that sure is a stumbling block to overcome. First, he'll need to get that loooong chassis to behave and do repeatable fast runs. If he pins it and just does 250 mph on the rim, more power to him, but he might need some treaking to get to 222 even with that long 100 hp build.
@@dazuk1969Kevin Talbot is a Rich dude throwing endless amounts of money at a speedrun build that he has no knowledge about. There’s a reason he still hasn’t put one of his speedrun builds past 150mph.
He has a bunch of THUMBNAILS talking about crazy speeds. But the dude has no idea what he’s doing and is strictly using it to boost his algorithm. Kevin Talbot will never see even 200mph because he doesn’t have the knowledge. And he isn’t actually trying to go fast. Just trying to build absolutely ignorant cars with ridiculous amounts of power for attention.

He's eager to learn from Raz and being very open about being a learner still. He brings loads of people to the hobby with his positive personality. @@Cloxxki I mean no dis-respect to Kevin but he is just rolling around in money (nothing wrong with that) and can throw any amount he wants at that car...and pay for expertise to set it up in a way most of us can't. I would like to see him build a stock length car on his own and see if he can get anywhere near 222. I wish him luck though as I think it will go up in flames.

Not the same class as a wheel driven car though.
There's gonna have to be different classes, (electric, jet,rocket,hybrid,etc)
The record you broke is overall fastest rc car it doesn’t mention wheel driven. If a rocket or edf car beats you and it’s rc then it’s the fastest rc car.
@jamesmccoy204 I agree on the difference in class. But at the end of the day there will be an overall fastest rc car regardless of how it makes that speed. But I'll be honest I'm rooting for electric. To be the overall fastest. Because once a few rocket cars get figured it probably won't be in the same ball park. Just like un real life.
