i found a small peace of like resistor, now i realized that it was a broken sensor from from Maf sensor when i was cleaning it one time.just wanna ask if my maf sensor is broken is it really afected the engine not to start.and checkengine always on.cranks but not starting?
This is not a Mass Airflow Sensor. It is a Karmen Vortex airflow sensor. It measures volume, not mass. Mass airflow sensors have an element that heats up. The ECU measures the change in temperature of this element to determine the air mass. In mass airflow sensors, carbon deposits will often build up on this element because it is HOT. That being said, what you see in the Karmen Vortex airflow sensor (shown in the video) is not an element and you should not use MAF sensor cleaner on it! Read the back of the can to confirm.
I'm trying to find a video that explains how to clean one of these without damaging it but all im seeing are people using this spray on them smh, have you ever cleaned one because mine is faulty and I can't find a replacement?
If yours is exactly like the one in the video, you can use electronics parts cleaner. But mind you, they really don’t ont get dirty like MAFs do. So you may just need to replace it if you’re sure thats the problem.
hey man I have a mirage 99 with the same problem, Im short on time this week and I have been researching this issue, I will try your solution and also replacing the TPS but I will only have time till this weekend... Im concerned that leaving it run like this might damage the ECU, what do you think?
widewings007 Thank you! my car died on me this morning so I had no choice but do the TPS replacement ASAP, so far is running smoothly. I hope it remains so.
wholeNwon So far it solve the problem of my car and the car is still going. I'm not promoting the product, just showed you guys that it is the one I used.
@@Integrity.is.everything Something like "CRC 05018 Lectra-Motive electric parts cleaner" if you really want to clean it. But keep in mind, the karmen vortex sensors really don't get dirty like mass airflow sensors with a hot element.
Thankfully for the advice, walked me through it waiting for it to thoughly dry before installing it.

I'm not an expert, but I think it will not damage the ECU. I think it will only affect your air-fuel mixture that is why it is not running smoothly.

Mauricio Antonio Batlle Castro wat is' TPS?
throttle position sensor
Mines have some corrosion on the resistor at 02:55 will that affect performance.
Is your car OBD II compliant or MUT II compliant ?
thanks just did my lancer same way as you
I need one of these how can I get
cuando falla eso en un mirage que codigo es?
Thanks for sharing
Thanks mate !
Should not get that spray on the rubber bushing, duh. It's not supposed to be used on a Mitsubishi MAF anyway.
What is the correct product to use?
I know what it says, but it did make his code go away... So who knows?..
Cool
The product is not for use on K-V MAF sensors.

Se pueden escanear estos vehículos 1992 montero v6 3.0
Probablemente si, PERO en OBD1
Mi Mitsubishi técnica sube y baja cuando conecto el sensor de aire por q pasa eso
On the Can it says do not use on Mitsubishi products....
Doug Kaboom Or any other type of Karman vortex type MAF. I saw the same warning, returned the can, then found this clip. Very curious...
