Your video was a BIG HELP toward saving me money on getting repairs done to my 1994 toyota camry. THANKS SO MUCH. PLEASE KEEP TEACHING US about our cars. Your a very smart man. LOVE YOUR ACCIENT!!!
Followed your directions, changed the air filter also and gave the car a chance to recalibrate and is working fine afterwards. Thanks for the video on MAF!
I just cleaned MAF and TB on 2003 Camry. Yep, idle went up to 1100 rpm. Hopefully will drop to normal RPM after few drive cycles. Appreciate and enjoy this channel.
@@SG-bb8pq Yes it did next days drive. Just took road trip from Phoenix to Chattanooga, about 4000 mile round trip. Monitored O2 lambda and LTFT as drove with UltraGauge OBD2 monitor, engine ran great at 132k miles on the car.
Thanks so very much for that part where you said one shouldn't freak out when you start the car and it revs up way higher than it was. I cleaned mine last week just like you did in the video and boy, the rev shot up so dramatically which got me so scared that I thought I'd done more harm than good. I took the car on a very long drive for about 3 hours in some heavy traffic jam and when I returned home, it was back to normal. Thank God I didn't waste my money earlier going to a mechanic to tone down the revving.
My 2002's MAF has never been cleaned in 20 years. Like the video author said, it lasted this long because it was driven gently with good air quality conditions. So that might answer one of the viewer's questions. I had a vacuum leak right near this sensor too on the fat rubber boot, someone didn't tighten it up maybe when they changed the air filter. Now it has P0174 and P0171 codes. The car runs too rich and guzzles gas right now. I ordered the same cleaner. Thanks for the fantastic video. You are very helpful sir thank you.
You should change the MAF Sensor depending on your travel. Normal street use: inspect the sensor every 30,000 miles. If it's dirty then clean it. Thanks for that tip!
it’s good when people figure out their problems that their happiness lets them help others by sharing, wish the manufacturers and political systems would do the same
Thank you so much for posting this video! Your detailed explanations and great camera work were really helpful. My son and I were having trouble disconnecting the connector for the MAF sensor, but now, with your video, we should be able to do it without any issues. I just subscribed to your channel!
Thank you! Linking to this video from my own! Following your instructions helped reinforce that I used the correct cleaner and to not touch the sensor. Simple maintenance that made a difference in my car's performance!
Wow, came across your channel I own a 2008 Camry LE same exact engine 2az-fe. Sitting at 118xxx miles just noticed at red lights it idles a little rough. Definitely going to give this a try, thank you so much for the post
Aloha, I am going to try this on my 2001 Toyota Camry seeing to how spark plugs, wires and coil paks where done but I still have a odd boggling every now and then. I really hope that it isn't anything like piston ring problems. Ugh. It's just been a 4 month challenge since I bought this car. It's like a bad Toyota relationship for me and I know that these cars just the best running family car.
Thanks
Well since you do not recommend cleaning both the maf and the throttle body at the same time I think I'll start with the maf one weekend and the throttle body the next..I got a hesitate at low speed maybe that would fix it..
Can you use this spay as a manifold cleaner as well as a starter Spray if you need too as well can it do that as well or do I need to buy a Spray starter for that.
Hei, I know the best is Sensor Cleaner but its hard to find from Finland. Is it ok to use Contact Cleaner ? This is good for cleaning contacts but essencially sensor is also an contact.
Hi. I have same Toyota camry xli 2.4 vvti 2005. Problem is starting in the morning. Not in the morning like if you not start the car 3 hours after not start. If some people is push is going to be start same time. Plz explain me what is the problem
I used floss and it cleaned it pretty good and I also used mouth wash to get rid of the remaining dirt just like he recommended on his video several times........
Fuck… okay so after everything i turned the car on and it ran and idled well. It shook a little bit but seemed to just be calibrating. Turned it off let it rest. Now I’m trying to turn it on and it seems very week and shakes a bit and turns off. Don’t know what to do now and am a little frightened and concerned. Please help.

Awesome video. This guy makes it look so simple and easy. Thank you very much. The dealer wants 79.95 for this service and 199.99 for EFI service.

Spark Plugs , Air Filter , Cabin Filter , Oil where all done ✅
Nicely done. Can you state some symptoms of a dirty MAF sensor on particularly Camrys?
Very thoroughly explained and demonstrated.
Nicely done! 💡👍🏻🔑 Im going to do the same procedure on my 2015 Honda Fit Thank you Mr. T.M
Outstanding video. Well explained. Enormously helpful. Thanks!
I always took the air duct apart with the sensor still attached. I'll start taking the sensor off from now on to clean like in the video.
Can I use window cleaner or WD-40 to clean the MAF sensor? Just kidding, thanks for the video, nicely done !
Acetone works good
Methylated spirits or isoopropol akcohol
Great video! Your accent is fantastic.
Wow ! ! ! Thank you for the super informative video. I will remember you.

Great video. Very helpful. Will try on my own.
Can I use the CRC MAF cleaner on the outside of the MAF sensor after cleaning the inside wires? Mines super dusty outside.
Great channel, really appreciate you. Thanks!
Very well explained man, thanks for making this video 🙏🙏🙏
What is best to use at base of steering column to stop whining noise...white lithium, silicon or diametric spray??
The red straw they give you with the cleaner is meant to be used it produces more pressure when your hitting the wires.
Does the check engine light automatically reset itself. Or do you still have to do it manually
Maybe it will - maybe not.
this is a big help thanks for showing us how 🙋♂️
Great info. Tks. My camry engine stalls when I slow to a stop. Is this the sensor problem?
Would you recommend cleaning both the MAF sensor and the throttle plate at the same time ?
Can you use the same brand throttle body and air intake cleaner or does it HAVE to be the MAF ckeaner?
Thank you for video. Very thorough.

Is it okay to remove the sensor? Will it not reset the computer like removing the throttle body would?
Thanks for sharing this information.

Would this work on a 2010?
When cleaning how long dose it last
Until the next time you clean it.
can I use my brother's tooth brush
VERY NICE VERY NICE VIDEO MY GOOD SIR
I would use a magnetic screwdriver to remove those screws if it was me, so as not to drop them. Otherwise, a good video on the MAF sensor cleaning.
Love this video, good job
Very clear thanks!
That you for making this video
Seriously asking, I am from a 3rd world country where these cleaners are not available. What other solutions are somewhat doable for me?
Istiak Ahmad electronic parts cleaner, for computers and stuff works.
Use your Pee
Great video
Thanks for the video..
great video. thankyou
Thanks a big help 🙏
MAF Sensor Cleaner is simply methyl alcohol. Definitely SPRAY ONLY or soak/splash with alcohol in a glass/porcelain/stainless container.
I cant seem to find it for a 1994 toyota camry, anyone know where its at?
Thank you.
Question my code is P0113 IAT sensor is it the same sensor? I have a 2011 4 cylinder Camry
Hi Oscar did you get a answer I have the same camry.
Yes it is
I have 2011
I used a toothbrush like you said and it turned out 👍 great
I used floss and it cleaned it pretty good and I also used mouth wash to get rid of the remaining dirt just like he recommended on his video several times........
