    Very informative! Could not figure out why I couldn’t get the rotors off my brothers Charger. The Ebrake is what it was. Didn’t know there was an adjuster!

    pretty good video, only gripe would be the audio deformities towards the end of the video.

    If you have ventilated factory rotors the hardware kit will not fit, at least with Car Quest GMKD1057. They sold me the rotors too.

    Do you have to bleed or pump the brake lines after this repair?

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  2 года назад +2

      You don’t need to bleed in this job but once’s ur done abs car is down pump the brake peddle till it gets hard

    You don't need to take the caliper shell/piston off take it all off with just the 19

      That would be lame and unprofessional job ur hardware will be clumsy to install

    Is it possible to loosen the shoes inside the hub? Ive been tapping for 20 minutes with no success....

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  3 года назад

      Usually it will get stuck due to rust and lip built up inside see if u can unadjusted the ebrake then it will come right off

  • @MrShabindigo
    @MrShabindigo 3 года назад

    Could you have used WD40 or something similar to get that rotor off, or is there a specific reason you wouldn't want to do that?

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  3 года назад +1

      You don’t need that if u want u can only spray it little on the center hub that’s about it

    • @andrewsmith941

      @@RBTheMechanic I guess I mean and you take the bracket off with the caliper still attached to the bracket

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  3 года назад

      @@andrewsmith941 yeah u can do that but I would take the caliper off first then bracket to get to rotors other wise u will prolly mess somthing up or leave somthing off and it might make noise and end up doing again

    • @andrewsmith941
      @andrewsmith941 3 года назад

      @@RBTheMechanic After watching video again I agree. I usually use a screw driver and the old pads to compress the caliper before I remove it. I hope it will work out like that on this vehicle. What was the torque on the bolts and is it the same for the front and back bolts?
