    I did exactly this. Changed both rotors and pads. Lubed everything like ur other vid showed. Except i hear a loud high pitch squeak only when i let off the brake pedal on my front left tire. I Never hear the noise when i am in park and pressing/letting off pedal. But it's when I am in drive and letting go of the pedal when I hear that high pitch squeak. Have any tips on what it might be? Also this noise was also before I changed out everything.

    you can remove by hand you need a 1/2 breaker bar

    Thank you!!! I did the front side today. For the 21mm bolts, I had to use a wrench and the floor Jack to take the passenger side out, and on the driver’s side I basically put all my weight on the breaker bar (I’m 260lb) to move the damn bolt. I’ve heard if you heat them first they will come out easily, but all I have is a small torch for créame brûlée and idk if those will generate enough heat, lol.

    Is there a way to replace the boots for the pins? I changed my brakes today and one of the boots feels hard won’t retract easily. I’m asking you if there is a solution other than buying new calipers

    You mention to use brake cleaner and avoid contamination on the new disc brake. But yet you were holding the new brake pads with your dirty gloves and it will cross over to the disc (rotor). Make no sense.

      We talking grease other wise ur pads will need to be changed every time it rains if ur that serious

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  3 года назад

      Sorry I don’t have torque specs on this vehicle the system I have is missing dodge and Chrysler do have the only big bolt bracket to spindle is 85ft lb sorry editing this I found the torque for small sliding pin bolt is 44ft lb

  • @PanchoDox
    @PanchoDox 10 месяцев назад +1

    The bolt is half inch, 13 mil risks rounding the bolt

    So my issue isn’t even the 17mm bolts (yet) it’s the 13mm for the caliper the bolts are stuck and hand turning is only starting to strip I stopped to where it can still be seated. Any suggestions to get them to break loose? I am holding the other nut for counter force but they are stripping too.

    • @RBTheMechanic

    So you have to change the rotors also

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  3 года назад +1

      If they are ok’d bad rusted or if u feel vibration when braking those are signs that u should change them also if they are glazed. Anyways I recommend always change brakes and rotors togather
