I loved her version because she took the simplicity, control and power that Whitney has shown us all but didn't try to match and replicate Whitney's version. I love that her delivery had that same classic and timeless technique that Barbara Streisand would bring.

I read that she slowed the anthem so much that the the fly over planes were so nervous about the timing of her ending the song and when they should go. The planes drowned out her last notes because they were out of time. Military maneuvers.
