Owning an E63 M6 myself and absolutely love that engine & sound. But if you ask me which one sounds best, I‘d always say it‘s the LFA followed by the Carrera GT, then the M5 or M6 😊

If I meet other E60/ E61/ E63 & E64 drivers, it’s mostly V8 drivers complaining about leaking water tubes, valve stem seals, water pump, etc. The S85 for sure has no more issues as any other BMW engine. Reasons why they blow up are because the cars got too cheap and every idiot without respect for the tech behind can abuse them without maintenance and/ or improper driving. It‘s not an inline-six. No one that affords an Lexus LFA or Carrera GT would treat their cars without maintenance as some BMW drivers do.
