Saw that race this morning. Got walked like nothing. The driver had the reaction time of a Sloth but it didn’t matter. Makes the SF90 and 296 GTB all that more impressive.

It's a lighter v12 vs v8. There's power throughout the whole power band in the Ferrari. Let's not forget transmission and aero. Hp is the last thing here. Dodge did great considering the disadvantages

Considering the 170 should be .5 of a second faster 0-60 on paper for 797hp mode, I doubt it would've made a difference having more power as it can't put down what it's already got. If they prepped a surgace 50 percent of the way the rarri would be embarrassed thats the thing, they should simulate a drag race, as majority of demon owners get it to race for money or professionally but idiots will say this is wrong

The Ferrari is lighter, better aero and a dual-clutch transmission. The 170 is deficient in those areas and even with slightly more power its going to struggle to keep up.
I'm not a Dodge guy by no means, actually I really don't like them at all. Yet, I do feel like the Dodge should have been reeling the 812 in after he got moving.

you are exactly right. He looked like he was driving it in eco mode on a Sunday drive or not hardly even giving it any gas. I've driven this car on the street and it looks absolutely violent when you get on it. It hooks way better than my Hellcat even on an unprepped surface. I will post on my channel some pulls soon as its over 500 miles break in.

In a 50 mph race, if Dogde uses 3rd gear, he will easily pass Ferrari. The race must be done in manual mode, not in automatic mode. When the 2nd gear is included, it will burn tires and also fall back extra from the gear change. In the Carwow race, the 810 hp pump gasoline Dodge Demon destroys the lighter 650 Porsche 911turbo S. The 1015 horsepower demon 170 will destroy the Ferrari 812 in 3rd gear. Thanks for the nice video.

812 is a weapon! I’ve been fortunate to drive many supercars both on road and track and the 812 is EASILY one of the most sorted, ballistic car out there today. It’d beat a Chiron around your average race track losing out if the straight was long enough but then it’s a fraction of the cost of a Chiron

Mine is just a question out of curiosity...Why don't you build a track double the length of the one used by all the super cars and super pick ups?? when you are at the level of 140 150mph you always have to brake sharply... logically the track is over. Is the Demon running on pump gas (91/93 octane,) or E-85??? Y'all didn't specify, but that makes a HUGE difference! As for how it'll do on a prepped surface, it should break the quarter in 9 seconds. All depends on the fuel, the tires, & the DA though.
Something went wrong. The Demon 170 goes to 60mph over 2x faster than the 812 gts. quarter mile time for the Challenger is 8.91 seconds with the 812 taking 10.4 seconds. Had the Demon 170 had ideal drag racing conditions and possibly perfect launches,, it would've smoked the hell out of the 812. Either way, im subscribing. Amazing job! You guys are true car enthusiasts!
@massimohack1367 Not just that. Don't forget that horsepower from 1,025 to 900 if regular 91 octane premium fuel is used. Hosepower stays at 1,025 with E85 FFV gasoline.
This video has great timing. I was just commenting on a Dodge FB post that, their stated 0-60 times on the top 4 versions of this model (ranging from 2.3s - 3.3s) was total BS. Dodges don’t hook up very well, and unless it’s a rolling starting at 50+ MPH, they don’t stand a chance against equivalent competition.
People doing 0 to 60 in 3 seconds with the 170 I knew it'll never do 0 to 60 in 1.6 seconds just like the hellcat never did 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds but hellcat fans would call it hate

I do not understand why 2WD exists. I'd rather have a 600hp 4WD car than a 1000 HP 2WD car. If you can't ever put the power down who cares? My 51k Tesla Model 3 Performance can beat a Demon 0-60, and it can beat it at everything if its drizzling rain outside, WTF is the point? Ive been saying make it AWD since the first Hellcat came out. @@dcooke4933 I have both. Both my vehicles (F150 V8 supercharged, quiet exhaust don't WANT attention) and my Tesla can smoke your 2WD off the line, and likely to the quarter mile. Both of them 100% annihilate your 2wd if its drizzling or more outside. Also, both of them can be put into 2wd if I feel like it and do donuts. So can a good merc/bmw. What you don't seem to know, is a lot of AWD vehicles now have a 2wd setting, so your 2wd (I'm guessing a Dodge below Hellcat spec or Mustang and you put your money into an annoying exhaust rather than power) is simply inferior. Also, all I care about are the specs, so yes, in a few years I will likely only have electric (or hydrogen, who knows) because it's better. I don't care about the environment, I hate democrats, but I love acceleration and power in a vehicle and electric is better at that for less money. People who drive a car just to wake up their neighbors need a bat to the skull. I'm guessing you are that guy? Loud but slow.
What did you think would happen, it is almost insulting to put an American car up against a superior Italian supercar. You should have done top speed- Demon 149 miles, Ferrari 200+ miles.
I love both cars. The one makes you feel young and full of life the other makes you feel elegant and sophisticated. Basically you will feel like Mozart when he hit puberty back then. Both conflicts with each other but strangely it's the best of both worlds.
It doesn't matter if you drive it when are you gonna understand that hp is not everything hp you can't put down is useless that's why the gt500 beats the red-eye with less HP
the Superfast is 2018 super tourer. American Muscle cars have cazy power, especially recntly, but largely unusable. There are cars with half it's power that'll show it up
Conditions, drivers, reaction times, aerodynamics, track and so on makes all the difference. Get a driver like Hermann (Demonology) here from Texas and you'll see the difference a driver makes. If your reaction time is slow, no matter how fast the car is, all youre doing is trying to do is catch up and walk the guy in front of you. You're instantly at a disadvantage. Demonology has proved, when he had his old Demon and racing faster cars on paper, that he could beat someone by simply reacting faster than the guy next to him. Reaction time matters and so does the driver.

It's not locked to 149 in drag mode. The tire rating being the main factor for this.

yeah those were REdeye Specs, not Demon 170 specs. But he was defintely not giving it the full 1025hp or he would have been holing on with both hands for sure

In a 50 mph race, if Dogde uses 3rd gear, he will easily pass Ferrari. The race must be done in manual mode, not in automatic mode. When the 2nd gear is included, it will burn tires and also fall back extra from the gear change. In the Carwow race, the 810 hp pump gasoline Dodge Demon destroys the lighter 650 Porsche 911turbo S. 812 is a weapon! I’ve been fortunate to drive many supercars both on road and track and the 812 is EASILY one of the most sorted, ballistic car out there today. It’d beat a Chiron around your average race track losing out if the straight was long enough but then it’s a fraction of the cost of a Chiron

Mine is just a question out of curiosity...Why don't you build a track double the length of the one used by all the super cars and super pick ups?? when you are at the level of 140 150mph you always have to brake sharply... logically the track is over. Is the Demon running on pump gas (91/93 octane,) or E-85??? Y'all didn't specify, but that makes a HUGE difference!
As for how it'll do on a prepped surface, it should break the quarter in 9 seconds. All depends on the fuel, the tires, & the DA though.
Something went wrong. The Demon 170 goes to 60mph over 2x faster than the 812 gts. quarter mile time for the Challenger is 8.91 seconds with the 812 taking 10.4 seconds. Had the Demon 170 had ideal drag racing conditions and possibly perfect launches,, it would've smoked the hell out of the 812. Either way, im subscribing. Amazing job! You guys are true car enthusiasts!
@massimohack1367 Not just that. Don't forget that horsepower from 1,025 to 900 if regular 91 octane premium fuel is used. Hosepower stays at 1,025 with E85 FFV gasoline.

This video has great timing. I was just commenting on a Dodge FB post that, their stated 0-60 times on the top 4 versions of this model (ranging from 2.3s - 3.3s) was total BS. Dodges don’t hook up very well, and unless it’s a rolling starting at 50+ MPH, they don’t stand a chance against equivalent competition.

People who do not race really do not understand how bad traction matters. Even at 60 that demon can’t break loose. A prepped track which is what it is made for and you will even see a wheelie from so much power

I do not understand why 2WD exists. I'd rather have a 600hp 4WD car than a 1000 HP 2WD car. If you can't ever put the power down who cares? My 51k Tesla Model 3 Performance can beat a Demon 0-60, and it can beat it at everything if its drizzling rain outside, WTF is the point? Ive been saying make it AWD since the first Hellcat came out. Like they make the wimpy V6 AWD but not the V8s? why?

@@_World_Champion_ My V8 F150 had 2WD, 4 auto, (4 wd when it felt it needed it) and always on 4WD (for snow and mud) that is the answer.

@@dcooke4933 I have both. Both my vehicles (F150 V8 supercharged, quiet exhaust don't WANT attention) and my Tesla can smoke your 2WD off the line, and likely to the quarter mile. Both of them 100% annihilate your 2wd if its drizzling or more outside. Also, both of them can be put into 2wd if I feel like it and do donuts. So can a good merc/bmw.
What you don't seem to know, is a lot of AWD vehicles now have a 2wd setting, so your 2wd (I'm guessing a Dodge below Hellcat spec or Mustang and you put your money into an annoying exhaust rather than power) is simply inferior.
Also, all I care about are the specs, so yes, in a few years I will likely only have electric (or hydrogen, who knows) because it's better. I don't care about the environment, I hate democrats, but I love acceleration and power in a vehicle and electric is better at that for less money. People who drive a car just to wake up their neighbors need a bat to the skull. I'm guessing you are that guy? Loud but slow.

What did you think would happen, it is almost insulting to put an American car up against a superior Italian supercar. You should have done top speed- Demon 149 miles, Ferrari 200+ miles.
I love both cars. The one makes you feel young and full of life the other makes you feel elegant and sophisticated. Basically you will feel like Mozart when he hit puberty back then. Both conflicts with each other but strangely it's the best of both worlds.

Conditions, drivers, reaction times, aerodynamics, track and so on makes all the difference. Get a driver like Hermann (Demonology) here from Texas and you'll see the difference a driver makes. If your reaction time is slow, no matter how fast the car is, all youre doing is trying to do is catch up and walk the guy in front of you. You're instantly at a disadvantage. Demonology has proved, when he had his old Demon and racing faster cars on paper, that he could beat someone by simply reacting faster than the guy next to him. Reaction time matters and so does the driver.
