Had a good chuckle at the oil spill. Honest content is good content !... A wise man once taught me a trick, if you celotape lots of Chinese takeaway containers together... ... ...
Great video mate and whatever you did audio wise has worked a treat! Very clear and crisp enjoyed this one a lot while bunking down in the back of my puma 😂
Did this on my transit (same engine). Mine was chuffing way worse than yours, oil mist was coming out the dipstick to. Cutting new seats etc sorted it. Some blow by is normal and a can of “smoke stop” with each oil change can help with higher mileage engines. You may want to clean the oil pump pickup at some point. There is a mesh at the bottom. Mine was partly clogged with soot that the injectors farted into the oil.
oh mate, actually a very nice and real video. And it is a good demonstration that those of us who are not technicians, with a little help and patience, can do these basic maintenance tasks on our trucks. For now I only did the air filters and the rear differential levels (I have a small leak), my next step will be to try the filter and engine oil. One question, what kind of smell did you smell in the exhaust to suspect the injector seats? Any other symptoms? When I turn on my Puma 2.4; I smell a very irritating smell, but no smoke of any color... Congratulations again for the video, very useful!
Thank you very much! The smell was like an exhaust, warm smell. Almost like a burning. Turns out it was the downpipe to turbo didn’t have a gasket. I would always advise giving things ago yourself as it’s the best way to learn. The more confident you get the more fun you can have in my opinion. Thanks for your comment :-)
Great video! Think I have a seal problem also so will be looking to do this. Before you changed them did you have any trouble starting from cold or any blue smoke? Cheers
Great video! I'm doing the same job next week. But where did you get the 6nm torque number? The LandRoverMonthly guide says 8Nm and then 180 degrees. My workshop guide also says 8Nm.
Hi mate. We are stuck in Canada with a 2.2 puma I have the same issue. Engine light on serious limp mode. We have smoke and splutter out of engine cap. Did yours have no power and engine light before you did this? Code reader said maf low voltage but we’ve changed that part and we still have the same problem 🤷♂️

Thanks for watching 😘
Heat the washers to red, drop in to cold water,it aneals the washers,a trick done on many much bigger engines ,it never failed me

Glad you enjoyed it Tom! The audio has got to be credited to DJI, the wireless mic 2.0 done super well!
I hope you had a good evening mate. Cheers! 🍻
Great video mate! Will have to get down to see you soon.
Thank you very much! Where are you from?

@@Defender110_uk thanks¡ As it is, I would be bored with a vehicle that doesn't give me work...

Great video lads. did you have to de-pressurize the fuel rail before starting? About to put new injectors in my 07 Puma. THX
Thanks for the comment mate! No just do all the work with a cold engine and you should be fine. Good luck!
@@Defender110_uk Thanks, I appreciate it.
I have exactly the same leak, this is my next job, what size seat cleaning tool did you use?
I am not sure what size unfortunately. I borrowed a kit and picked one that fit the best. Easy job so don’t worry about it.
