I’m a college football athlete and I ran track in high school, every summer/off season since HS I’ve spent a lot of time lifting and also running. I’m running would consist of mainly 5ks every day with a rest day each week. It’s difficult to keep that up during season but I enjoy it a lot in the off season because I love running. Any advice to taking my “hybrid athlete” training to the next level? Right now in the off season in the winter I’m getting around 24 miles a week with a rest day and lifting weights around 6 times a week (different muscle group each day so I’m not wearing out my muscles).
