what type of engine are they using? id put a J79 in mine if i owned one
j79 is massive. these guys normally run chopper turbines. far lighter and smaller. overall weight is important in drag racing.
Most of these running GE J-85,s and there some Pratt and Whitney J-60,s. The Semi Trucks can run a Single J-79, But Not allowed in Funny Cars or Dragsters.
Bob Motz, Hellfire, and Bone Shaker Semi Trucks all running J-79,s. That's one nasty Jet Turbine !!!

Hp is just a measure of energy. I have 2 hp toaster in my kitchen, it may be unconventional but its accurate. also what about turbines that drive a shaft for airplanes and helicopters, even some cars, still not hp?

22 gallons of jet fuel? Nothing compared to the cost of the engines. Jet-A sells jet fuel to corporate jets for under $6 a gallon. That's damn near the peak for 87 OCTANE UNLEADED under GW Bush. The description says they use 22 gallons per 1/4 run. That's $132 for one pass. And i've never seen a jet car make more than 1 pass.

@@lorenzocrow336 They are Exhibition Vehicles, they do get Paid for Every show they go to, and High Grade Kerosene don't cost that much, aka Jet Fuel ! And there really ain't no between rounds maintenance on these, like Engine Rebuild every run like Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars. Theses Just top off Fuel Tank between Runs, put a Show on for the Fans, and get Paid. It's actually a pretty good money maker in the Drag Race World. You don't have to Win to get Paid, Exhibition Vehicles ALWAYS Get Paid, Win or Lose.
