Yes because challengers have no aero and are very beefy??@@ThrottleHavoc Put the same engine in another konig and we'll see what happens lol. You know what will happen
@@bigbadt your statement isn’t very well thought out lol. The demon 170 engine has a 1025 crank horsepower and there are koenigsegg cars powered with v8s that make almost 500 more hp than that. So nah the majority of newer koenigseggs would actually be slower and less efficient with a demon engine especially since most of them are turbo and the demon is a blower car. Think before you speak please.

I know because of the torque the front wheels can't stay glued to the ground but, would it be faster if the wheels manage to stay on the ground instead of flying?
@@milojanis4901 that’s true to a degree but at the same time upward movement is wasted forward movement. You’d be the fastest if the car squats but keeps the wheels on the ground as much as possible. You want weight transfer without the wheels coming up a lot. Especially the major wheel stands that some cars do, it allows more air to get under the car which creates more drag and a slower time.
people think that their demons can do the same thing on the street. no car is doing its drag times on the street. this car can only do that on its drag radials not its stock tires
Folks, break in period before you drag your Demon 170 is 1,500 miles, not 500. See page 7 of Demon 170 supplement. Dont ruin your engine like RacerX did. Fortunately, Dodge is covering it under warranty!
This car is the closest thing we’ll ever get to a road legal Challenger Drag Pak.
literally is, the ceo of dodge said u can order with the parachute
@@kha2x.__217 Fake news, you can order parachute after taking delivery

IDK if you can get full interior on this beast though just a race seat . I'll have check the build site.Any one know.

smart investment
An example of real torque
That was awesome! That's alot of weight to launch like that.
That's real professional driver
Judging by the burnout probably not, but it was a nice pass
Definitely fastest V8 factory car .
Koenigsegg cars have v8 so no

A Serious wheelie 😮😮
Nice wheelstand! Looking forward to it
Old skool demon logo sets it off
Holy shit that was sick
This is bonkers! Long live American Muscle!
Is everyone driving their 170 instead of saving it?😅
hopefully
I don’t think it’s humanly possible to watch everyone go 2 wheels up and say “nah I’m gonna leave mine in the garage” 😂
Mine had a baby on board sticker day 1
i've seen many many drag races at osw over the years :)

Not ashamed to admit that I would absolutely kill myself with that much power. I think I'll just stick to my nice affordable V6 Challenger XD

Yet another video of the Demon 170 with no elapsed time to be seen. Haven’t seen a single video yet of the Demon 170 running in the 8s as advertised.
I think Tom got this one to run 9.15
no one said it was gonna run 8s, but it will run 9s (and faster than a s plaid)

Facts lol! Probably because most people are around 2 seconds slower than what Dodge advertised lol.

One trick pony, that Dodge put a limiter on the top in speed……Worth it !!!
The end of a great era, rip Dodge Challengers😥
If the time was as advertised, it would have been shown.
Wow!!!
Forget the style points. The time, what was the time?
I believe he got the best time of 9.15
I know because of the torque the front wheels can't stay glued to the ground but, would it be faster if the wheels manage to stay on the ground instead of flying?
Yes
No, because when the front tires are in the air, all the weight is on the rear tires, and wheelspin is reduced. So traction is increased

what a shitty ass burnout but what a bad ass launch
Track is sticky af your car wouldn’t be able to do a burnout there 😂 not like at your local Walmart parking lot
@@texaskingcycles5322 shi I dont even have a car and at my country the malls parking lots has plenty obstacles and cant do burnout or donuts😅
as someone who doenst undestand that much about cars i wonder how do some cars have so much grip to do wheelie instead of wheelspinning on a wet track
The track isn't wet. The wet looking stuff on the track is a kind of glue that helps the tyres grip to the road.
Who won
Times and speeds????
about 8.9-9.0 at 151
That's what you get with 170bhp!
170 hp….💀💀💀

What was going on in the beginning sounded like he was just holding rev limiter
It also seemed like the wheels slowed down in the burnout while that was happening. Not sure what was going on there.
