What impressed me, was the bad black Viper had 33+ mph on the Green Mustang, yet still lost by .017

Also what a launch by the Foxbody. That thing shits on most things in this video. 6.7 sec 1/4 miles are absolutely disgusting
I don't think any of these drivers would be happy with the results until their car broke the speed of light and went into a wormhole that put them right back at the start of the track.

Remember hauling my Supra down to the very first Tx2k, and you mightve had a 9 sec car or 2. My my, how this event has went to the stratosphere.
Even though cars are faster now, those times & vibes were unmatched. Perspective is everything. Faster doesn't always mean better in the car world as well.

Imagine this event just with electric cars. Everyone has the same car, just gutted, no unique builds, no atmosphere, no spectators. Probably racing autonomous as well.
Why tho? Just because it is electric does not mean it is autonomous nor does it mean every car would be the same.

@@sepg5084 horses are indeed more badass than EVs as well, every one has a different character, just llke gas cars, one is a V8, one a turbo four, other an inline 6, other an inline 6 turbo. Or we could stick to npc cars like Teslas, where everyone has the same car. Like the Npcs in Demolition Man.

@sepg5084 all electric cars have the same exact powerband and given the same power and weight, will put down the same ETs. There's no ups or downs to the different types of engines and drive trains. Its all just the same and that makes it boring. A 1000hp Tesla weighing 5000 pounds is exactly as fast as a 1000 hp Lucid weighing 5000 pounds. The creativity of engineering and cars dies with the electric vehicle.

Interesting thing about Vipers is that, they'll do 230 mph in the 1/2 mile with 3000 hp. and run only 250 mph in the standing mile, with 4500+ hp...
You get to a point where you need an extra 100hp to go 1mph faster..

I've always had a man-bulge for Dodge Vipers, but I'd honestly be terrified to drive one hard. GTR , Porsche GT3 RS, or Audi R8 for me please. I want AWD.
