Yeah just seen that, all track employees need to know where fire extinguishers are, a fire in the engine bay can get out of hand fast, something like that shouldn’t happen. Ik Kyle is a frequent flyer at these events and from what I seen he is extremely reliable in these situations but I still don’t find that acceptable.
Track crew and event crew are separate, there were no track crew at the staging lanes. And if you notice the crew (you can clearly see them running in the video) in addition to Kyle located them quickly and put it out before it damaged anything more than what initially caught fire.

That's exactly what I was thinking based off of the footage. Had the Mustang had a clean start there is a good chance he would have been wiped out by the R8. One of those situations where something bad actually saving you from something worse.
I was very impressed by that S550 for being the only representative of the Coyote community. I think a RWD to be successful needs very good traction control capability which the stock ECU run in most modified Mustangs can't do. It's possible to go fast in a red. The Nth Moto Vipers did several 220mph+ runs.

That conversation with one of the winners in the GTR is why street roll racing for money is something I would never do for big money. It's hard to get a 100 percent fair race because so many problems can happen. That's without people trying to finesse and be shady.

Terrance going out basically killed my vibe. I lost interest instantly. The only car that could possibly play is that Viper with a 225mph, but other than that Terrance had no competition, breaking, well that's just racing.
I'm sure that Viper had to be careful how he stepped on it. Those things get hairy and out of control QUICK. NON...Twin Turbo charged Vipers do, I couldn't imagine the power delivered to those rear wheels.
Anyone else notice the huge bump/drop in the left lane directly under the bridge? Maybe it just so happens the cars on the left have more suspension but it seems like it affected every car negitively on that side. Right side was much less bump if any at all

A rolling start. Side by side at 60 mph before the start line. It replicates street racing on the freeway. It’s easier on the driveline since it’s not a standing start.

They get away with skirting regulations in these events.
This event does not follow NHRA rules, and NHRA doesn't have rules for roll racing. Also very hard to put a cage in a carbon fiber car.
