TX2K first full day of racing went off without a hitch! So many familiar faces and returning champions back to try and bring home a win again! The staging lanes were packed full of some of the craziest builds we've seen at a 2k event, setting the bar for qualifying higher than EVER! We finished off the night with some awesome drag racing qualifiers to prepare to day 2!

That's the difference between 8th mile and 1/4 mile lol some of these cars were letting off half way and still doing 6's in the 1/4 it was crazy! It was a good time!

Kind of looks like the parachute went to the right and then caught a gust and went really high, possibly causing the GTR to become unstable and hit the wall? That or the GTR dropped fluid and once it hit the tires, it was over.
Edit: Guess I should've finished watching the video. Kyle confirmed my suspicion with cross winds that caught the parachute. Unfortunate.

Y'all act like roll racing isn't a common thing when in fact it's the most common form of racing for STREET cars not your gutted tin cans. So build a faster car what are you waiting for? You gana hate on the best designed cars on the planet? I miss the late 90's, early 2000's when you could buy a Supra, Rx-7 or NSX for like 25-30k.
So how come you didn't buy one then?
@@dj4monie I did, I had a Supra for a few years. I sold it 3 times what I bought it for. If I still had it, it would probably be worth 6~7 times what I got it for. It was just a Supra, never thought people would pay stupid money for one. They didn't even sell that well for a longtime. Most Rx-7 were just shells because they blew the motor, or someone stole the motor. NSX I wanted but didnt get because, they were not that fast, and if you blew up the motor moding it, a used engine was like 7-10k. A 2j was like $2,000.

Man, I'm in North Dallas area. I was thinking about going, but I have business plans of my own I need to do right now. It would have been my first time at a Texas racing event. Maybe next year if everyone isn't blown up by then. I was going to drive there. It's a few hours away. I have never heard or seen these types of cars in person.

Not everyone here is rich some of these guys own shops and have their shop cars most if not all of the shop cars are tax write off’s some guys have pooled together a group of real close friends and built a car the rest yes absolutely wealthy people with personal race cars. what was ounce a car loving backyard mechanic tinkering with a car that was put together on a $126 a week salary and having just about the same fun these guys are having.. this sport really brings people together from all over the world the love for cars engines the sound and emotion brings light to this dark world and helps you lower the volume on the filth happening everywhere.remember racing is racing weather you spent half a million or $500 the feeling you get is priceless
