- A pleasant and simple tune by Donovan.
Apologies for the poor sound quality.

Here's some interesting info on this tune...............
In the early 1970s, Donovan agreed to write and record songs for the English version of Franco Zeffirelli's Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972). The accompanying soundtrack album included none of Donovan's original recordings, as only the Italian version was ever released, with vocals by Claudio Baglioni and score by Riz Ortolani. The non-availability of the Donovan recordings prompted many of Donovan's fans to request an official release of the songs.
In order to satisfy demand, Donovan embarked on acquiring the rights to the original recordings. Due to the nature of the original contract and complex publishing rights issues, it became evident to Donovan that releasing the original Brother Sun Sister Moon recordings would be extremely difficult. In the absence of this release, in 2004 Donovan decided to record new versions of the original songs and release it exclusively through the iTunes Music Store.
For the new recordings, Donovan opted not to recreate the lush orchestration and choir vocals of the original recordings. Instead, he plays guitar and sings solo, in a style reminiscent of his Sutras album.

Prayer of St. Francis
"Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, harmony;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life."
------------------------------------
Mother Teresa of Calcutta made this prayer part of the morning prayers of the Missionaries of Charity and asked that it be recited at her Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo in 1971.
Margaret Thatcher, as new Prime Minister of England, winning the 1979 United Kingdom general election, had the prayer placed on the doorstep of her new home at10 Downing Street, London. Видеоклипы
Brother sun, and sister moon
I seldom see you, seldom hear your tune. Preoccupied, with selfish misery.
Brother wind, and sister air,
open my eyes, to visions pure and fair.
That I may see, the glory around me
I am God's creature, of him, I am part.
I feel his love, awakening my heart.
Brother sun, and sister moon,
I now do see you, I can hear your tune!
so much in love, with all that I survey
a beautiful arrangement - thank you for sharing
Thanks very much. --Bill

This is by far one of the best of the best Fingerstyle guitar music I've ever heard. You sir are a Legend! God Bless
Thank you for the very kind comment.
Nice work Bill. The movie had a huge impact on me years ago. I even chose Francis for my confirmation name when I became Catholic 14 years ago. Maybe with our new Pope, it is time for a resurrection of the movie. Thanks for bringing the music to light. Peace,
Jim

Thanks SJ. Take it in small pieces and it will fall into place. If you have passion and love for the instrument, the music will follow.
+William Brown thank you so much!
Loved the film, and your placid delivery of its title song. Best to you! Dave
