I followed your video of 4 years ago regarding the Lesco nozzle, when I purchased Flowzone Cyclone 2.5 just recently. I never used backpack sprayer. Pressure is great with the nozzles that came with the sprayer and Teejet nozzles. although, when I used Lesco blue nozzle, pressure was so weak with level 2 on the switch. as you know, it consumes so fast when I turned it up to 3. its like I would have to RUN to get even coverage 😅😅😅 i still like the sprayer though! I guess I need to practice more to better at knowing the consumption, speed and coverage.
Thank you for your videos on Flowzone! That helped my purchase and Im happy about it!!!

Is there something that keeps you away from MY4SONS sprayers? Here's my take on how the two compare:
I think the Typhoon's primary edges are:
1.) It has a slightly higher power pump (115 PSI max vs the My4Sons 110 PSI max)
2.) The aesthetic appeal (although this is personal preference)
I think the M4S is superior in the following ways:
1.) The battery runs about 1.5x to 2.5x longer per charge
    2.) M4S offers a 2 yr warranty vs a 1 yr warranty w/ the Typhoon
3.) The M4S is pretty much a modular system that allows for upgrades after the fact (ex: can add a stronger pump or an agitator if you want those later on)
4.) They have a TON of nozzles and wand choices [including the showerhead that you like] along with seemingly countless accessories
5.) Their website and RUclips channel is packed with very detailed info, FAQs, product guides, and tutorials - the FlowZone's website and RUclips channel are ok, but the M4S has roughly double the amount of info, guides, videos, etc
6.) The FlowZone service might be good or even great but from all accounts the M4S customer service is unmatched
I think they both are about the same in the following ways:
    1.) Price
    2.) Pistol grip availability
    3.) Quick connect system
    4.) Variable pressure dial
    5. Waterproof battery compartment
Sorry, I know that's a lot, but since your review is one of the better ones I've seen of the Typhoon, and I can tell you like to geek out on sprayers (same same) I figured you'd be the one to ask about the M4S option as well!

Is there a seller that sells a flat 360 degree spray head? the typical spray head does not get to the underside/backside of the leaves and I have a terrible problem of leaf hopper on my grapes. the grapes grow against a fence so I can't get to the back side to spray for them. I saw a sprayer once that sprayed 360 deg, so you could stick the spray head behind the vines and it would spray all around the back side. Help!

Just bought mine thru Pete at GCI, he puts in his own nozzle assembly for free! Wow, does it kick out the product! Went from the Ryobi One+ 18V that only lasted just over a year, to a hand pump Ortho which I hated the variability in psi. Now I just have to walk faster to keep up even on setting 1, but absolutely love the nozzle assembly that has such great even coverage! Thinking I'll just keep the hand pump for glyphosate purposes only.
Btw, does your beard ever itch?
Appreciate your great videos, I definitely learn something every time. Thanks from an older man, but a newby to lawn care.
Lastly, do you take requests? I live the transition zone Oklahoma where last fall I glyphosated my never-been-touched POS common bermuda lawn and renovated to TTTF/KGB. The evil wire grass came back with a vengeance this summer so I'm looking at ways to curb it (as well as block it from my neighbor's yard.) I've heard of using a Mesotrione/Trichlopr Ester/Fluazifop combo , but I don't want to harm my fledgling cool season lawn and I'm not quite sold on the timing in spring and fall applications. Jared for next Spring applications, what are your thoughts on applying a granular fertilizer with Prodiamine to kbg which has been overseeded the past two Fall seasons? Some studies indicate it can have a significant negative root pruning effect especially if the turf is not mature while studies show no effect. What are experiences and general strategy for weed control when neighbors have tons of weeds?

    • @pestandlawnginja
      @pestandlawnginja  2 года назад +2

Hi Eugenie. The answer is yes it has those capabilities. ultimately I don't prefer to use pre emergent if i can get away with it. but the consequences are also difficult to manage, for example: poa, spurge, oxalis etc.. herbicides in general have a negative impact on turf and soil. with that in mind you have to outweigh which is more important. also, have you had an issue with annual grasses in the past. if not maybe you can skip it. if you want the better pre emergent control and don't have sandy soil go with dithiopyr. hope that helps.

Lessons learned...DO NOT BUY Flowzone. I bought aTyphone in June 2021. As a DIY home-owner, I used it 6 times in the last two years and it stopped working. I followed the company's troubleshooting video and found out its circuit board broke. The company offers a one-year warranty on such a fragile product. Stay away.

Actually my battery dies after 14 months...just 1 season of light use. Totally dead, won't take a charge. The refused to warranty it and only offered me a 10% discount off the list price of a new battery. My opinion is that Flowzone is a terrible company to work with
