Could this tip replace the ortho hose end sprayer? I know the ortho does 2+ GPM but math is our friend. I'm just sick of dragging 500ft of hose around my one outside spigot house for 7k sqft yard.
I just replaced a 4 gal backpack with the flowzone 2.5 gal. Calibrated to 1/2 gal / k² ft with the correct TeeJet nozzle, using 60 psi setting. Used it today, really pleased. Can do 5 K² ft with it and much lighter than using the 4 gal pack...
Mine lasted 2 months with light use. Straps became frayed and had to get a new pump. Got mine from Greentouch Industries. Same product( Strom Sprayer), good thing was they warrantied it. Love it when it works. Hope it lasts more than my Sprayers Plus Electric. Not even a season.
What kind of tip do you like for spot spraying vs blanket spraying a whole area ? I’ve seen A LOT of your videos and I think this is the most excited I’ve ever seen you 😂
I've been trying to solve this problem, using a rain head sprayer nozzle on a backpack sprayer. I just haven't come across a backpack that would put out enough psi! So stoked
That is an awesome idea. I do a ton of round-up jobs, but I can not pull a lawn care hose from the truck across good turf to do it and a standard backpack with a standard sprayer nozzle is slow and not efficient, your 1 gallon per minute chem lawn nozzle looks perfect. Great idea.
I use my flow zone v2 for commercial pest control, I consider it my most essential tool, even over my B&G, with its low psi setting I can even use it indoors and cover my entry points, get around large buildings quickly, with out dealing with a long hose and with out straining my body during every single treatment. The only problem I had so far was the battery showed me full power when in fact it was dead, the trick is to push the button on the battery a few time’s back to back and the second or third time it’ll show the power level indicator bars drop to the actual battery level.
Great question. The answer is it all depends on your lawn goals. If you want to keep it short, below 2" I suggest mowing 2 to 3x per week. If you want to stay at 3" or above I recommend every 5 days. If you mow frequently mulching is recommended. If you're taking more than .25" off the top I recommend bagging.
@@aerator12 Someone local made it up for him, but you can probably go to a big box store and find the parts to make this tip yourself. I have a side business doing roof and exterior cleaning and i make all types of stuff like that.
I think you sold me on a Flowzone Tornado. Was looking at an affordable battery powered one but wasn't liking the reviews on the low end Chapins that were in my price range. I like that the FZ is serviceable enough to be able to replace individual parts if need be.
That's what I have. Can confirm long battery life and variable speed pump allows for the 4000 sq ft load out with easy calcs. Customer service is excellent.
I purchased the Cyclone 2.5. Typhoon was difficult to source. But I think the Cyclone will be a good fit for my residential needs (liquid herbicide for weed control). I have a Stihl gas powered fogger for shrub and tree plantings.
I'm looking at these for a very unique reason. To rinse cars. I want to start a vehicle detailing business but I don't want to leave water spots at all. Without having to buy a tank and what not since right now I don't have the room for It. I really like the 2V. That's more pressure then a water hose, that would be perfect for rinsing off water pretty fast. I'm tempted lol
great question...... it does provide a unique spray that ranges from a mist all the way to a squirt gat. it's basically a pressure washer for your back that sprays 1gpm.
I bought the flow zone typhoon last spring. It definitely a solid machine as you say. My problem is knowing whether or not I am getting the proper amount of herbicide down. I'm really looking forward to your future videos.
ruclips.net/video/98Yy6J6h7GM/видео.html&t=1012 I've been binging the Ginga's videos and used this one to calibrate mine. I find I still overspray because of inexperience between my pace and the overlap.
I use the same video, agree with the pace and overlap, plus I tend to hit areas a little too long. One thing that's helped me is to use some herbicides at 75% strength (particularly tenacity), it usually takes a 2nd app anyways and this way the grass doesn't turn white.
I've used other sprayers but the flow zone is almost a low psi pressure washer. I loved it when spot spraying but need help in the blanket spraying. Looking forward to the lesson.
Which nozzle is the best for foliar apps and which is better for soil that will fit my tornado? Or can I use the two nozzles it comes with and if so, which one for each app?
any nozzle works great for foliar herbicide apps. Its all about the calibration. If you can get 1 gpm out of the tornado my blue rainbird nozzle is awesome. If not I would focus on using the cone sprayer.
This is the first video of yours that I have watched . Great review on these sprayers. You saved me! I had the Chapin sprayer in my cart on Amazon but I did find tHe Typhoon for a better price than on Amazon.
I've been using my Flowzone Typhoon for months, love that stupid thing! The issue I had to contend with was the trigger assembly getting debris in it and it wouldn't stop dripping. (Mine was a hand me down at work, god knows what the hell the previous owner used it for. Probably used it for sand blasting...)
Great feedback. I get that from any sprayer I use. The plastic wands don't always get all the crud out and the buildup kills it. sucks. #lawncarenutproblems
I have been building my own for 11 years. Been through a few versions, but they all have 1+ gpm pumps. Game changer for me is that they all could use lawn guns.
Another awesome video and great info, I will definitely have to get the new sprayer, that’s a game changer for DIY’s thanks again for all the great help and explaining the tools of the trade, AWSOME
I own a flowzone and love it. I heard they are made in the same factory as the stroms. At half the price. Granted they have their 100psi ones in the $200+ price range.
Great video(s)!! They have helped me out a lot. If you ever get a chance, please do a comparison between this Flowzone Typhoon 2v and the Milwaukee sprayer. They look similar with adjustable PSI. The Milwaukee is a little more expensive but cost of ownership may be less because you can switch the tanks but use the same pump. Plus I already own a bunch of Milwaukee tools and batteries. 😉
Pest and Lawn Ginja, well that's a bit of a bummer. Anyone with a brain can see that they've moved inventory because of your video. Even a simple thank you would be nice.
@@pestandlawnginja How are you liking it up to now? I've been just fine with a manual pump hand can, but these days I'm wanting the consistency of a battery-powered sprayer.
I just got my first backpack sprayer it is a Ryobi. Anxious to use it again, but I probably will not get to because it was so effective in getting the job done the first time. I also used Roundup 365 on my weeds in my driveway and there is absolutely nothing growing in my Gravel Drive
LOVE this channel! He has good content and doesn't take 30 minutes to cover 10 minutes of information, and he keeps it entertaining to watch as well. All the things I value in a RUclips channel!
For me that special nozzle you made would be good for when I am applying those products that, as you said, needs to get to the soil level, like insecticides or those N-Ext products. Does this company make the nozzle for the general public or is just a local thing?
Why have that custom nozzle right on the end of the pistol and not on a quick-connect wand with like a 45-degree bend right at the end of it? Seems like you’d spray yourself more with the pistol?
@@TrippKnightly Have you ever seen those lawn companies spray lawns (True Green etc.)? If so, it's the same concept. They spray side to side fairly quickly and it would be more work/difficult to do that if the nozzle is at the end of a 24" or longer wand.
I gotta watch this one a couple times. Great info! The 2v hose and nozzles look like regular pressure washer nozzles. But I wonder if the orifice is bigger to accommodate a thicker fluid.
I think you're right. I think they are just regular old pressure washer nozzles. It will accommodate thicker fluids. just remember to rinse the tank out after use.
We have to be total lawn nerds to get off on backpack sprayers but who cares I love it. Ginja Jr has a great dad to learn from. I'm sold. Been eyeing and eyeing and looking and looking online for a backpack sprayer and this one sounds like it. Totally sold. Now to on to justifying in my mind to buy the thing. While I am no pro but I want it. Toys for lawn geeks. LOL Honestly, this lawn thing is really fun. It's certainly a challenge. I find myself talking to my lawn? Ok now there you go, you have everything you need, just grow. I'm not going crazy am I. LOL
Flowzone Cyclone is money, to bad it didn't make the video. Love mine have run gallons of N-Ext products through it. Upgraded the nozzle and been applying with no issues at all. Great video my man!
@@79mini The wand is cool, just saying the pumps are the same. For anyone using mostly teejet nozzles to spray turf, the Tornado is a good deal because it already has 11/16 threads and will take teejet nozzles and quick connect fittings.
I need a sprayer to water my garden, or some other alternative because my garden is not near a water source. Any ideas? How would a sprayer work for watering a garden?
Thanks for your vid. I bought the new 2.5 typhoon and I like it so much I'm buying another. If you use a surfactant or drift inhibitor it will shoot a stream pretty far out. You might want to add a link for the 2.5 version.
I'm a pressure washing guy I do soft washing roofs. My question is with I be able to connect my J Rod tips to the Flowzone sprayer? And does it work with Bleach
I've seen a few guys hookup rods and extentions to the unit. it can handle it. as for the bleach you're better off calling them direct. it's something I've never tried!
Hello - Thx for the great Video - I have pump sprayers now and I pump with my right hand and hold the wand with my left - I noticed on the Typhoon the hose comes out of the right side - In your opinion is there enough hose length to go around the back of the unit and spray with the wand in my left hand? - I can't find any specs on how long the spray hose is - Thx
Great video, thanks for sharing the information. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Have you had any trouble with the flowzone, if yes what was some of the problems? If you was using tenacity in the fall which spray head would you use the rain head or Teejet? Thanks
Ginja! Great video. I think I need a backpack sprayer now, but I have one question- is it ok to use one sprayer for all of the different uses? Like can I use it for Tenacity, Mikropak, and insect control? I assume I at least would need to rinse it out in between really well. Can you apply Tenacity and Mikropak at the same time?
The mikropak and tenacity can be applied at the same time. So much you can do with these high end sprayers. I would do the flowzone typhoon 2v or the Milwaukee. It's about time we did a followup video for you Dennis.
@@pestandlawnginja Anytime! It's looking pretty good now, the weeds are still there but they are thinning out. I'm thinking of biting the bullet and putting down some Tenacity hoping that it holds up. Everything is nice and green either way now.
@@dennismwest I spoke to a few hydroseed companies and they claim they're using tenacity after 6 weeks. There's a lot tenacity won't touch but we can mix it with speedzone if were 90 days out. Hit me up on facebook messenger.
Lawn Ginja, I did it. I just bought the Typhoon 2v - 2 model. I have the Chapin, but concerned about it's longevity and I am using the backpack sprayer a whole lot now. I really dig Flowzone's quick disconnect features, which like you say is a game changer. Hopefully, I can use my collection of various nozzles I use with my pressure washer with this unit. One of the main feature of your review that really made me decide to go the Flowzone is being able to use those pro nozzles (purchased the Blue and Yellow). Also, I like that all parts can be replaced by the owner. Unfortunately, Flowzone was out of the T-Jet adapters, which are on back order. I will have to rig up something. These backpack sprayers are hard to find these days and Flowzone says they won't receive any for at least around 5 weeks because of the Covid 19 and that can even change quickly. If anyone is looking for them and having a hard time finding them let me know. I've found a couple online suppliers.
I have the Ryobi 4 gallon variable frequency drive sprayer. 18v....it’s awesome! I have used Chapin, Monsanto. Solo, etc... I have done this for years and Ryobi is my choice...great price too.
Nice but I gotta go with the Chapin. It uses Black and Decker batteries, and I have a lot of B&D tools and batteries already so. $99 at Walmart...wish I could get it tool-only without the battery so it could be even cheaper! oh and lack of a back pad and strap issues both are easily fixed for cheap.
Hi, thanks for your input. My old sprayer needs replacing, so I came here to see what you had to say... How is that Typhoon holding up a year later? Looks like it's on back order from many websites.
It's been fantastic. video to come soon. I bought the version ones and currently they have version 2.5. 3 gens later. the first gen which I had 4, we had some motherboard, and the valves and issues with the battery indicator. Flowzone sent me free parts, I didn't tell them it was me, no questions asked. very pleased to have a unit I can replace anypart on all by myself. The thing I like the most is the ability to spray at 1 gallon per minute or higher.
@@MrFosterForever I ended up buying a a Cyclone. I have used it 3 times already for liquid fertilizer and some pre emergent. I was definitely blown away from the way it sprays. I did some testing with some water and noticed that on the high setting I had to walk way too fast in order to keep up with liquid ratio to square footage. But on the low setting it was perfect. I didn't care for the adjustable nozzle really, but the green one was perfect for my application. I used the red one to spray some herbicide on lilipads in my lake and that red nozzle really makes the spray go far. Great product
They are top notch when you get into the typhoon series. Keep in mind ALL battery operated sprayers have issues. The major issues I find is the battery indicator doesn't work and the interior filter falls off. I use a hose clamp to fix that issue.
WOW quality packs indeed , quality video quality calibration quality quality quality . here hereb . Where is that bell thingies I cant miss anymore of your videos . too much to learn to little time . WOW the typhoon is " Really really really ridiculously good-looking” .
Awesome! It works soo well. My suggestion is to avoid any fiberous materials such as sea kelp and humates if they haven't been filtered and refined. It clogs up the nozzel. Fantastic for liquid fertilizer, iron, herbicides etc..
@@pestandlawnginja ok thanks for the heads up..my current liquid line that i use is the "hydra smart" brand..response from it is outstanding, and most importantly doesnt stain..reach out to them and give it a review..
So far we are in love. I've had a hose line freeze over and crack because i left it in the truck overnight and the temps went below freezing. I swapped the line out. simple fix and it works great.
Awesome video! Ty! Question though, is it compatible for spraying SH (chlorine/ bleach) for soft washing a roof? I'm a pressure cleaner and am looking for a solution to soak my roofs instead of the hand pump
as long as it doesn't clump I would say yes. you may want to call the manufacturer to make sure there won't be an adverse chemical reaction to the seals.
Awesome video. I’m looking for a sprayer to have for roundup. I guess the Tornado would be my best bet? I have also used Chapin in the past but it broke so easily.
If you get the right head it will do a fine mist. Most foggers work because of the wand and spray head. I've heard rumors that flowzone will be coming out with a unit sooner than later that does fog.
Dude awesome vid!!! I have been using a chapin then recently started trying a 4sons which has its ups and downs as well but that Typhoon looks like the shiz-nit!!!! What parts did you have to get to make the rain head for it? I am seriously thinking of picking this guy up.
I'll have to call them, Erik's, on monday. I was too excited I forgot to ask. They had the quick connect fitting onsite and the adapter for the nozzle. I put a link in the description for the nozzle
@@pestandlawnginja what about that nozzle set up? Like that idea and great video. What about My4Sons sprayers? I have heard they are great and customer service is super dooper too.
@@pestandlawnginja thank you so much for your quick response! Greatly appreciated. is there a reason you’d mix it outside the tank instead of mixing it inside the tank? Not questioning your method just trying to learn.
Dang. The Typhoon is out of stock. I just left your link man. I guess so many of us are home and going lawn crazy out running the supply and demand chain with this covid19. Dang. I may get an "available" Chapin. That would be like getting my first bike and its a 600, knowing well i need a 1200 bike for this 300 lb frame. What do you think of the Ryobi electric sprayer compared to the chapin? Let me know. Ryobi and chapin are in stock in my area (Atlanta) and I have other Ryobi tools. Thanks.
Would the seals in the typhoon sprayer hold up to bleach? I soft wash houses with Bleach also have tips on my pressure washer wand that look like they would work on the typhoon as well?
A backpack sprayer with a built in agitator for applying diluted granules like 'Fahrenheit' would be awesome! Instead of killing my energy by swishing my pump sprayer around to dilute my granules, can I use a 'mixer on my drill' to dilute the granules in a 5 gallon pail before pouring the diluted solution into my sprayer to minimize mixing while spraying? IF SO, then I can add some soap for surfactant after it's poured into the pumper and swished again to mix the liquid soap.
totally agree. I've used the motabi systems for a while, they have a build in paddle agitator. I've heard rumors a few electric systems are hearing the feedback and implementing in the next round of sprayers. If you're going to mix everything in a bucket, which I highly recommend. I would mix everything in the bucket. the surfactants, pre emergent, herbicides etc.. great idea
Thanks for an unbiased review. Looks like Flowzone also has the Cyclone 2V at a much lower cost than the Typhoon 2V, $245 @ Amazon vs $500 for the Typhoon. It's lesser power but still enough for me since I have a 100psi, 20gal Fimco when I need it and wondering if the Cyclone has the same quality as the Typhoon 2V.
I've had less issues with my cyclone in a commercial setting. However the typhoon's get used far more often. they push out the liquids faster and time is money
How did you calculate 1.12 gpm on the 115 PSI max setting? I have a flowzone spec sheet and it says the typhoon v2's high speed is 0.634 gpm at 115psi. The sheet's high speed columns have next to it in parenthesis (dead head). Not sure what that means. Do you? Just trying to understand how I'm misinterpreting the data sheet! Awesome video. You were stoked!
I calculated the volume by using a cup and a timer. best way to do it and figure out what reality is. It legitimately pushes 1.12 gpm all day. my technicians love it because of the volume it pushes. I have no clue what dead head means LOL. you can also hack these pumps to push them even further if you wanted to. I find the 1.12 gpm is a tad fast for most people. We have 5 of them at our office and the guys absolutely love them.
Ginja, the FlowZone sprayers don't have internal agitators. How would you approach spraying triclopyr ester for treating a bad case of Lespedeza with one of them? The label recommends constant agitation during application.
This might sound a little weird but I shake my back. The only backpack sprayer I've owned with an agitator was the matabi pump sprayers. pretty decent little sprayer.
is there a comparison chart or cheat sheet for which one is best for different applications- have only used ortho hose-end sprayers and pump sprayers. I am a beginner who wants to pray tenacity, next products, and other stuff on a 3,00 sq ft from lawn and 12,000 sq ft back lawn----what makes the most sense--- tornado, cyclone or typhoon? dual-mode or variable?
It's a personal preference. flowzone does disclose the flow rates of each units on there website. I just like to spray 1gallon per minute as opposed to even .5gallon or .65. makes pacing the yard fast. huge time saver for me.
Pest and Lawn Ginja thanks Ginja! I can see where that 3x speed comes in handy if doing big lawns or multiple properties. Is there a big difference between dual and variable pressure? Seeems like you are paying more variable and I am not sure when that’s needed.
I just subscribed to your channel. It seems like you work hard to respond to every comment! Damn thats hard work! I have a question: I've only used pump sprayers but want to get a battery sprayer for blanket spraying fertilizers and herbicides. Do I really need a sprayer like one of these that shoot with all that pressure and spray far? I'm just looking for a sprayer that keeps constant pressure without pumping, so that I know I'm blanket spraying at a consistent rate. Am I missing something here regarding the need for one of these bad ass sprayers for my application needs? These basically seem to act like pressure washers or hose end sprayers. I'm comparing these to a simpler $90 field king 2 gallon battery sprayer. Thanks PLG
Here's my 2c. The more volume a pump pushes the faster I can complete the job. if you're not concerned with time and you don't mind doing a ton of preventive maintenance then sprayers like the chapin and others a like are good for what they are. I've grown to love the flowzone because of the interchangeable parts. you can buy any part on the entire back pack sprayer at anytime. you have a mother board go out you can buy a motherboard. you have a pump go out you can buy a new pump. It's pretty ahead of its time and a game changer. With that said you can buy the lower end models and save some money as opposed to buying the typhoon 2v look into the tornado. great value for what you get.
@@pestandlawnginja an additional question to this 1st question if you dont mind (im a spraying noob but learning a lot from your channel) do high volume pumps such as these replace the need to use a hose-end sprayer?
Sir , could bayer advanced complete insect killer for soil and turf hurt new grass?? I over seeded on 8.11.19. It’s meant for all grass. I just don’t know if it’ll hurt the newer grass.
Great content. I love how excited you are lol. I'm still looking for a budget friendly way to put liquid on my 29,000 sqft. I'm thinking a tow behind sprayer, probably Northern Tool. Thoughts?
What about hand pump back sprayer for the home guys that only used there sprayer a couple times a year that don't want to add on another battery system?
i know you like the Flowzone, but i was wondering if you have ever tried the Milwaukee? I am in the market for a sprayer, and i'm already vested in the Milwaukee system, so tool only is cheaper. If you can get your hands on one can you do a comparison video?
Happy to do a video. I've got super limited experience with the Milwaukee unit. I've put it on but no real world experience. Conceptually it's a great idea
An excellent video, thank you. My Chaplin died after a year, which is a great shame as I really enjoyed working with it. The design is seriously, seriously flawed. I am actually surprised that such a poor design could make it to market.
What are your thoughts on the new Flowzone Series 2 products? The new models seem to have done away with the Tornado (or re-branded it as Storm 2) and now there's a lower PSI Cyclone offering. What would you recommend for someone going battery-powered from hand pump for the first time?

Could this tip replace the ortho hose end sprayer? I know the ortho does 2+ GPM but math is our friend. I'm just sick of dragging 500ft of hose around my one outside spigot house for 7k sqft yard.
I just replaced a 4 gal backpack with the flowzone 2.5 gal. Calibrated to 1/2 gal / k² ft with the correct TeeJet nozzle, using 60 psi setting. Used it today, really pleased. Can do 5 K² ft with it and much lighter than using the 4 gal pack...
That's awesome Gordon! Way to get calibrated!
I just got a Strom sprayer, it's the same exact sprayer as the Tornado, but with the Typhoon wand. Absolutely love it.
That's great feedback!
I just bought a Typhoon 3! This is an outstanding video and thank you for producing it.
Glad it was helpful!

Great feedback Shane! Thanks for letting us know
What kind of tip do you like for spot spraying vs blanket spraying a whole area ?
I’ve seen A LOT of your videos and I think this is the most excited I’ve ever seen you 😂
I've been trying to solve this problem, using a rain head sprayer nozzle on a backpack sprayer. I just haven't come across a backpack that would put out enough psi! So stoked
Great comparison, was just getting ready to purchase a Chapin, but now I have to seriously look at the $118. Flowzone
Well worth it! 2 speeds and better straps and layout
Where do you see it for $118?
That is an awesome idea. I do a ton of round-up jobs, but I can not pull a lawn care hose from the truck across good turf to do it and a standard backpack with a standard sprayer nozzle is slow and not efficient, your 1 gallon per minute chem lawn nozzle looks perfect. Great idea.
its so fantastic for spraying liquids. can't even begin to explain how much time i've saved.
I use my flow zone v2 for commercial pest control, I consider it my most essential tool, even over my B&G, with its low psi setting I can even use it indoors and cover my entry points, get around large buildings quickly, with out dealing with a long hose and with out straining my body during every single treatment.
The only problem I had so far was the battery showed me full power when in fact it was dead, the trick is to push the button on the battery a few time’s back to back and the second or third time it’ll show the power level indicator bars drop to the actual battery level.
great feedback! I too have had the battery indicator issues with multiple sprayers.
Strom is the same as flozone exactly. I love the sprayer and highly recommend it.
Very cool
Bless you and your little son great video.
Thank you! You too!
How often should lawns be mowed ? To what height ? Is it better to bag, or mulch ? Thanks, love the channel !
Excellent, thanks.
That thumbnail was pure perfection 😁. I was thinking about getting into liquid this is some really good info. Thanks for another awesome video Ginja!
Thanks! It was such a fun project

It's impossible to use a pump sprayer while supporting a beer so I switched to a Strom electric sprayer and life is good.
Good call 👊😂
I think you sold me on a Flowzone Tornado. Was looking at an affordable battery powered one but wasn't liking the reviews on the low end Chapins that were in my price range. I like that the FZ is serviceable enough to be able to replace individual parts if need be.
It's a game changer Nick. Part breaks and you can fix it. simple as that. Want to upgrade the wand, you can!
My 4 sons battery powered sprayer would be comparable to the flowzones and worth looking at. Been using it this year, great
That name has come up a few times! I'll have to check them out
That's what I have.
Very exciting demo. Good products are hard to find. So much easier to make the purchase if you see it I. Action and your endorsement is solid 👍🏻
Thanks! It was fun and challenging
Awesome information! Thanks once again Ginja! You're the best!!
Thanks elaine! This was fun
Another one DJ Khalid! I’m in lawn university. Deep star ⭐️ six. I want to sleep in my lawn now. Thank you. I need a real economical sprayer.
LOL ahhh yeah! Sounds like you're slayin the lawn game!
Thanks for the review, I just order a Typhoon v2. My elbow is going to thank me for the 1.17 acres I got to spray!
You'll love it! Way better than tennis elbow
I bought the flow zone typhoon last spring. It definitely a solid machine as you say.
My problem is knowing whether or not I am getting the proper amount of herbicide down.
I'm really looking forward to your future videos.
Great feedback! It's all about knowing how to calibrate. I'll be sure to do a good video on sprayer calibration
ruclips.net/video/98Yy6J6h7GM/видео.html&t=1012 I've been binging the Ginga's videos and used this one to calibrate mine.
The rainhead nozzle is a game changer in the lawn spraying arena. It will allow me to show you guys proper technique
Fantastic review... so helpful. Just ordered the Typhoon!
Glad it was helpful! I love these sprayers still
Will it blend🤣 love it used to watch those videos back in the day! Your blender reminded me. Good review!
🤣🤣🤣 same
Which nozzle is the best for foliar apps and which is better for soil that will fit my tornado? Or can I use the two nozzles it comes with and if so, which one for each app?
any nozzle works great for foliar herbicide apps. Its all about the calibration. If you can get 1 gpm out of the tornado my blue rainbird nozzle is awesome. If not I would focus on using the cone sprayer.
This is the first video of yours that I have watched . Great review on these sprayers. You saved me! I had the Chapin sprayer in my cart on Amazon but I did find tHe Typhoon for a better price than on Amazon.
Awesome! Thank you! Even the cheap options that flowzone provides are a much better choice than the chapin
Amazon doesn't have the Tornado available right now but I did feast my eyes on the Cyclone!
crazy!!!!
I have been building my own for 11 years. Been through a few versions, but they all have 1+ gpm pumps. Game changer for me is that they all could use lawn guns.
that's awesome. love hearing it
That Typhoon is an animal. Gun is built like a pressure washer. You could wash a car with that thing, literally. Cool video, thanks. 👍✌
Soo true!!!!
AS always NEVER Disappoints the GINGA , brings the GOOD info right straight to everyone1 🎯👍
Thanks chapo! I do what I can!
Another awesome video and great info, I will definitely have to get the new sprayer, that’s a game changer for DIY’s thanks again for all the great help and explaining the tools of the trade, AWSOME
I was shocked to find out I could do 1 gallon per minute. Its pretty awesome
I own a flowzone and love it. I heard they are made in the same factory as the stroms. At half the price. Granted they have their 100psi ones in the $200+ price range.
Few comments on that. I dont know the answer.
I've had a few requests like this one. I may just bite the bullet. You guys are killing me on expenses hahaha
@@pestandlawnginja ill buy it used off you when yer done.
Dude, FlowZone better be giving you a nice nugget for this video. It's practically a commercial. Thanks for a good look into those sprayers.
LOL NOPE! they haven't even offered ;) . but really i don't like to be tied down to sponsorships.
Pest and Lawn Ginja, well that's a bit of a bummer. Anyone with a brain can see that they've moved inventory because of your video. Even a simple thank you would be nice.

I've been just fine with a manual pump hand can, but these days I'm wanting the consistency of a battery-powered sprayer.
I just got my first backpack sprayer it is a Ryobi. Anxious to use it again, but I probably will not get to because it was so effective in getting the job done the first time. I also used Roundup 365 on my weeds in my driveway and there is absolutely nothing growing in my Gravel Drive
nice!!!! I'm sure you''ll find some use for it.
Love this review. Gave me ideas for my Jeep build. That pump,is awesome. Now I just have to find the right spray nozzle
I love it!
Hey pest and lawn Ginja do you over lap to your foot step when you are spraying liquid fert with weed killer ?
yes, first step off the wet edge is 4 ft and the steps after are 6ft

For me that special nozzle you made would be good for when I am applying those products that, as you said, needs to get to the soil level, like insecticides or those N-Ext products. Does this company make the nozzle for the general public or is just a local thing?
The nozzle I have was made my gnc, lesco misled them too with the blue head. Link in the description
That’s awesome!!! Thank you for sharing Ginja!! Your channel really helps me!!
You're welcome Paul! Thanks for binging out
I gotta watch this one a couple times.
Figures I bought a new Chapin two days ago. :-(. Thanks for the video
You'll do well with the chapin! Just watch my latest review
I bought the Chapin two weeks ago. Thought I was keeping up with the Ginga's. Haha
It's still a great sprayer if you treat it right! be sure to watch my updated chapin sprayer video
Ok now there you go, you have everything you need, just grow. I'm not going crazy am I. LOL
I've been using it now for a week. It's still pretty cool. I can spray so fast. Makes me happy.
Flowzone Cyclone is money, to bad it didn't make the video. Love mine have run gallons of N-Ext products through it. Upgraded the nozzle and been applying with no issues at all. Great video my man!
It is a great sprayer from what I've heard!
The Cyclone and the Tornado share the same pump, the only really difference is the wands.
@@lambert1702 at face value looks to be true, but I like the gun so much better then a wand.
Funny, I ask the clerks in the store about which products sell and not get returned but the result is a puzzled look from them.

So awesome! It's pretty amazing for the price
Ginger, I was blown away. Thank you for all you have done. I salute you!!!

Thanks for your vid. I bought the new 2.5 typhoon and I like it so much I'm buying another. If you use a surfactant or drift inhibitor it will shoot a stream pretty far out. You might want to add a link for the 2.5 version.
I just released the video on the 2.5. its an amazing sprayer
I've done that and for me there was enough room. you can also get your own hose and modify it worst case scenario.
@@pestandlawnginja Thank you for the update
Where can I purchase the nozzle from or do you know what parts they use..
It's in the description of the video
Great video, thanks for sharing the information. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Have you had any trouble with the flowzone, if yes what was some of the problems? If you was using tenacity in the fall which spray head would you use the rain head or Teejet? Thanks
launched an updated video on their new product the typhoon 2.5 and listed some issues with the older models.

Nice feedback! That stinks they're on back order makes sense given the situation. Thanks for letting us know
I have the Ryobi 4 gallon variable frequency drive sprayer. 18v....it’s awesome! I have used Chapin, Monsanto. Solo, etc... I have done this for years and Ryobi is my choice...great price too.
Right on, glad you found something that works well for you
Thanks for a great video !
I am sold on the typhoon 2v !!!!
It's a fantastic product! Still very pleased
Can't wait to see a detailed lawn spray video!
How could I get myself one of those heads the one that puts out 1 to 3 gallons.
Would you still say the Flowzones are top notch? Looking at upgrading from my crappy Greenwood pump backpack. 10k sqft lawn.
They are top notch when you get into the typhoon series. Keep in mind ALL battery operated sprayers have issues. The major issues I find is the battery indicator doesn't work and the interior filter falls off. I use a hose clamp to fix that issue.

I've had really good luck with both of these units. so far no issues. the battery life is decent
I need a fine mist, really a fog. Will this sprayer do that?
If you get the right head it will do a fine mist. Most foggers work because of the wand and spray head. I've heard rumors that flowzone will be coming out with a unit sooner than later that does fog.
Dude awesome vid!!! I have been using a chapin then recently started trying a 4sons which has its ups and downs as well but that Typhoon looks like the shiz-nit!!!! What parts did you have to get to make the rain head for it? I am seriously thinking of picking this guy up.

My man! I have no clue! That's one I haven't tried. I would call them. they're pretty upfront about what the product is capable of.

Do you use the large sprayer instead of the fan sprayer when applying tenacity and speedzone?
I use the rain head nozzle which is the large sprayer for sure. bigger droplet sizes makes for less drift.
@@pestandlawnginja what do you use the other sprayers for or is it mainly the rain head? Thanks for the great videos.
I let my technicians use the other sprayer for spot spraying weeds. We use the fan tip
Will the rain head (blue nozzle) spray very far?
Not at all. About as far as you can see in the thumbnail

Okay. I’m convinced. V2 it is. Thanks, Ginja!
It's pretty awesome!
Pest and Lawn Ginja I decided to get the less expensive version but it should still be better than my Chapin pump handle backpack! 🤮
It's pretty cool. Even the cheaper version had two pressure settings.
Pest and Lawn Ginja so for 3,000 square ft front yard and 10,000 sq ft back yard how much time do you save?
@@brianp2572 it was taking me 3min or more per 1000 sq ft. And now only 57 seconds per 1000ft2
@@pestandlawnginja thank you very much good sir, you are the best!

What are your thoughts on the new Flowzone Series 2 products? The new models seem to have done away with the Tornado (or re-branded it as Storm 2) and now there's a lower PSI Cyclone offering. What would you recommend for someone going battery-powered from hand pump for the first time?
I still really prefer the flowzone sprayers. there isn't another product out there doing what they do. I'll be reviewing the newest model soon!
