SK-II is the only luxury skin care I splurge on. There are many cheap versions that tries to copy it, claiming they are just as good or better, but none actually comes close.

pleaseee make more videos about J skincare!! They are much less accessible in English but have been widely popular over the past 20 years when I was growing up in China! So interesting to see that now K beauty and C beauty are slowing taking over the market!!
If you can also do more Chinese skincare brands review that would be incredible!!

So far the products that have made the biggest difference in the appearance and feel of my facial skin are 0.05% tretinoin 5-6 nights a week, 10% glycolic acid toner 2-3 times a week, and topical vitamin c every morning. These luxury products are interesting but I wouldn’t pay these prices.

The first time I used SK-II FTE, I thought it didn’t do anything. After finishing the bottle, I didn’t repurchase and that was when I saw the difference. I can tell that my skin was brighter when I was using SK-II and so I repurchased and have been using it since then 😊

I don't usually buy luxury skincare, but I am planning a trip to Japan and maybe I will pick something up. I would love to see a follow up video of your purchases. We see a lot of content about K-beauty, but not as much about J-beauty

Japanese luxury skincare really worked on me, been using Korean skincare for years, i was curious about japanese luxury skin care, and just started to use the astalift skincare from fujifilm, esp the astaxanthin wrinkle line, its pricey but it worked for me, and my 11 lines wrinkles forehead looked smoother within a month (its not really disappear, but smoother)

Thank you for the lovely video! So many wonderful brands! Years ago, Shiseido was highly sought after, for many reasons. Their foam cleanser was great for oily/acne skin, yet it didn't strip, and their makeup was extraordinary! I started working in retail (years ago in the Jordan Marsh/Federated chain) and everything, every detail, was carefully thought out, the colors, texture, finish of their cosmetics were like none other. Sadly, Shiseido has cut back on many products in the line but it's still a favorite. If you love beautiful art, check out Serge Lutens ad campaigns in the 1980s, exquisite. Also, Shiseido's Feminite du Bois perfume, both scent and bottle are gorgeous.

Just the other day I placed an order on Amazon for the SEKKISEI cleaning oil. I had no idea it was such a nice skincare brand 😮. I only ordered it because it was a large 10oz bottle for only $20 bucks!
So apparently that cleansing oil is on sale right now for 20 bucks on Amazon if anyone wants to order it too!
I hope I love it. Well…actually…I hope I don’t love it 😂 because I’ll want to keep buying it lol 😆

Dr Liu has also recommended the Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil which is $9.99 for 7.8 ounces on Amazon today. I bought it as a step 1 cleanser (skincare & makeup removal) but haven’t tried it yet. It’s a Korean product.

Be careful buying skincare on Amazon, there are so many fake products. Especially when the price point is that low compared to the regular one, I'm always suspicious

I think you’re going to love it right away. It smooths your skin, takes off all the dirt of your face and you don’t really need second step cleanser. Based on my experience 😊

I bought Sekkisei at Costco. I wait until it goes on clearance at half the price. I used the herbal cream and didn't see much difference but when I use their higher gold line, the anti aging. I love it. It's perfect for my dry skin.

I use the SK-II essence since last year and I also upgraded from the 75 to the 230 ml. I tried and loved it for the very first time, it made my skin brighter and definitely clearer from any pigmentation, but it also helps with my rosacea as cooling down my skin. If I skip 2-3 days of using it my skin becomes dryer and a bit reddish. Honestly I can’t live without it. 😊

Good video! I want to try the Shiseido Concentrate. I see many on ebay at a size I can try out. The Shu Umera Pencil is my favorite. I use it in Seal Brown...very ashy and dark. I wish I had the confidence to try and sharpen how it should be done. I wonder if Nordstrom would do it. I think there used to be some place in the States that would do it for you.

Can you please answer this question: I’ve been on Tretinoin 0.05 since October, 6 nights a week. I started it to fade my age/sun spots, if anything it’s brought more to the surface and hasn’t faded them. Is it a side effect and should I stop using it? Or does it take over a year to see improvement? I wear sunscreen daily yes. I’m trying Arbutin, TXA, Licorice root, kojic acid. Nothing is helping. I’m in Australia so can’t get Hydroquinone. I’m getting so frustrated. Do I stop Tretinoin? Thank you

You haven’t tried 99% of the products discussed here but you speak about them and their ingredients as if you are 100% convinced of the manufacturers’ claims.
