Don't know how as this method doesn't work I've tried getting 5yrs worth of water mark stains off my gf's shower windows and this method did NOTHING you need a product that cuts through the scale that has built up over time

The more of these shower-cleaning videos I see, the more I realize how glad I am to have a detachable shower head/hose that makes light work of rinsing off all the soapy residue at the end.
Yes me too and it works great for cleaning yourself too. I am so spoiled when we stay in hotels i lowkey get upset they don't have them as well.
“Lucky” to have a fancy shower head? Anybody can get that “lucky” for about $20 on Amazon and a wrench
@@drdrew3 Perhaps "glad" would be a better word. Why would anybody settle for a fixed head when (as you rightly state) you can literally screw a movable one onto the existing fixture. Much better option!

Coming from a real skeptical place, I thought I had nothing to lose, so I tried this. Let me tell you, this is 100% legit and worked amazingly! I don't have Dawn in Australia so used any dish soap. I'd say for those extra stubborn stains to do this process twice but this method works above all else!! Thank you!!

When you say “this method” are you referring to the “METHOD glass + surface cleaner” that she used at the end?

@@nicanonymus2491 Hi Nic, it worked on mine showers. I have used cleaning vinegar, dawn and lemon juice. Try few more times.

I'm a professional cleaner for Turno (which means I do a lot of cleaning for vacation rental clients). This video helped me a lot 3 years ago, when I was looking for tips and starting to build my clientele. And now it has crossed my way again in 2023. Amazing!
This was so awesome, after my son finish cleaning the shower doors, using this technique. I literally almost walked into the door it's was so clean. Thanks A Million!!!
This works. I am in Australia and used Palmolive dish liquid and white vinegar coles brand in equal measure. I also used a coconut fibre scrubber to get in the nooks and crannies. Squeegeed off the bill of the bubbles after ten or so minutes. I found a small watering can to rinse. Be careful… your flor tiles will be slippery! I will give the glass another rinse and dry before using good old windex for the final polish. This video is truly one of the best I have come across in relation to shower door cleaning. Thank you! 😊
3/9/22: I tried it, and this is the BEST way to clean my shower glass doors. It's amazing how well these two works together. Thank you so much for the tip!
Great cleaning advice. I found that after I rinse off the soap just squeegee it and forget the windex & paper towels. Save a tree. To keep your shower clean until the next time, squeegee after every use. No water marks.
I rinse with cheap no-brand dishwasher rinse aid then squeegee - job done.
Let me just say, I just tried this out and it worked !!! Thank you for the tip, I will definitely continue to use this when I clean my costumers houses 👍🏼

This is amazing. I can’t wait to try this! I’ve been trying so many different methods with so many chemicals and I always hate locking myself in my little shower trying to saturate the glass with those harsh smells. This is a game changer
This works really well. When you rinse the solution from the doors the floor gets very slippery so be careful you do not slip in the shower when you are cleaning it.
Wow. Thanks for the recipe. It made my glass doors really look great again! My doors were alot worse to begin with than yours were. I let the soap and vinegar sit for 45 mins as opposed to 15 mins. Thank you!
My mum gave me this tip for all my windows ,and it`s a tried and much tested one:)..The vinegar cuts through the grease and leaves windows showers mirrors etc wonderfully clean.Only problem ,i don`t want to let anyone in my squeaky clean shower..lol .Well ,we hard wprkers have to admire our handi work! :)

I put this mixture in a spray bottle, apply it to the glass shower, leave it for a couple of minutes, use a sponge to wipe, then rinse. We have three shower heads and one is detachable, which makes it super easy to rinse. This mixture is the only thing that gets rid of soap scum for me. I even have our housekeeper use it when she cleans the shower. It's awesome!
You use Dawn or any soap?
I was so dubious, but this is amazing!! I literally cleaned the whole bathroom - even the scum on the bathtub was washed away in now or effort - spotless, and I was done in less than 15mins. I’m shocked - thanks so much for posting!!

I just used this today, and it really does work. We just boought a home with years of gross build up, so it may take me a few times to get it all completely off because the nooks and crannies, but I feel like I can finally get our shower clean

The rinse phase is A LOT easier if you have a shower arm... And it totally avoids the need to use paper towels and window cleaner on the inside (which invites streaks and more work).

The only advantage to the Dawn is that it has a rinse agent built-in. It isn't a necessity though.
In my opinion, Nothing beats this recipe when cleaning the bath or shower! I’ve never thought to mix them in a bowl first though. Great 💡 idea!

Mixing them makes the vinegar stay where applied. You can also make a vinegar gel and it should work as well.
After all the window cleaners I tried failed. Then I found your video on You Tube. Thank you for posting this. I followed your instructions to the letter. I was amazed how your method worked. My shower doors looks brand new. Once again, thank you.

Have you tried cutting the soap down to about a 1/4th up? There will still be enough of it to clean, and the Vinegar is the cutting agent. Mainly the soap is there to hold the vinegar on the glass a lot longer than if it were straight vinegar on the glass or shower walls, and allows it to work longer. This also makes the clean up a lot easier.
I love watching How-To videos, thank you for this one. I don't have shower doors but I'll use it on other surfaces, washhand basins, sinks, fittings etc, also my brand new shiny tea-kettle - I'm determined to prevent hard water stains on that from the steam!

Wanna know a better more faster and easier way? Lime away. No scrubbing needed. Just spray and rinse. Your welcome 😎
@@JWC777 might be faster but who wants to pay for basically the same thing but you can get it a lot cheaper. These two ingredients are great for most cleaning applications and a little goes a long way.

Tried this yesterday and it worked a treat! However it took two coats to do it! Thank you so much! British people I used the blue fairy liquid from Asda with some white malt vinegar.. although the smell was nearly unbearable (I hate vinegar at the best of times) wish I could post my results! Thanks again

works well with smaller jobs. If working on more stubborn spots, I just finished my shower doors: Scrubbing Bubbles to de-crust. CLR and 0000 steel wool takes rest off. Finish with good 'ole Windex to get all the smears off. It looks great!
It WORKED! I have frameless shower doors and wipe down daily. I had a shady spot at the bottom the door that I could not get rid of and they suggested not to use harsh chemicals so I tried your trick and it worked thank you so much

This worked like a champ! I used different soap but the concept is the same. It's mostly the straight up 100% vinegar sitting for fifteen minutes. I did it a second time while taking a shower to clean the doors off. Easy Peasy!

Yeah the smell lingered a bit once I did it but at least we had clean shower doors! Lol 😂
I use citric acid instead and they are cheaper and with less smell! Comes in both liquid form and powder form to mix with water.

I m so happy to have found this great cleaning for shower doors it works wonders I have tried many products and concoction but this one really works so very happy with the results. Word to the wise after cleaning use rain x on the glass it helps with the hard water and scum build up to thank you so much for this handy cleaning tip.
We had our bathroom renovated six months ago, including new custom glass shower doors.
We have very hard water.
Unfortunately, it didn't take long to begin to stain the glass.
I finally had a chance to try this method today.
The result was in a word... Awesome!
It was simple and quick with very little effort.
It can be a little messy during the rinsing phase but it's all worth it in the end.

i absolutely love this! i see great results. i mixed in some bar keepers friends powder which you can get at walmart and instead of using the window cleaner i just used water and a squeegee to take it off. i’ve had a hard time trying to take off the stains for a while now, but this actually worked! overall i really recommend, thank you so much

@Ann Marie Lynch . So it does work for you to clean the glass doors with a squeegee. I just got glass doors a couple of months ago and my sister told me to clean the doors with a squeegee? My question is you use it at the end. You don't usually put soap on the squeegee if you get a microfiber one?
@@alexandraresabla5023 She might have been referring to using a squeegee after taking a shower to prevent any water spots, which I also do. I am not sure if I have a micro fiber one.

Tried this method today and want to share my experience. My shower door hasn’t been cleaned for a long time so it didn’t clean it very well in the first round. Also the amount of soap used made it very hard to rinse clean. Since vinegar is doing most of the job I tried to just soak some paper towel with vinegar and stick it to my shower door for a couple of minutes and it works great without scraping. And you don’t need many paper towel either since it can be reused.
This was so satisfying to watch! It almost makes me want glass shower doors!

After 2 years I had tried it all spent $100´s and just about given up on all "special cleaning products from major brands" "special professionals" and " special youtubers" they are all very special all right, I hold them all in a very special place.
All 3 showers glass doors were extremely and shamefully nasty but before I went back to cheap reliable curtain showers I came across your video and said this is the last one I´ll watch, so coool to the point step by step walkthrough no self promoting no BS and all of it in less than 5 min. I was in such disbelief I had to watch it twice. I went ahead and tackled all showers and in less than 15 min each and a grand total of $9.00 all 3 showers were 95% better in fact the only other time they looked better is when I had them installed new.

Thanks for the tip. I just used it on an aquarium with a heavy hard water stain. I applied the recipe and let it sit for 15-20 min, scrubbed, re applied and scrubbed again and it all came right off. Like majic!!! Crystal clear again. My only regret is not taking before pics

Great result! Though I would not use "window cleaner" on windows. It always leaves a film. Just use vinegar and water. Trust me. Clean and no streaks or film. My mom taught me that.
True Vulgarian If you don’t like the smell of vinegar that much, you can just use water and soap. Dawn works best. You don’t need a lot. It’s all in the squeegee. Invest in a good one and make sure the edges on the rubber aren’t worn out.
@@jessies1509 Do you mean mixing water and soap in a spray bottle, spray it and then use the squeege?
7Mushrooms7 I forgot to mention that it would be best to use a window cleaning mop to scrub the window with first, squeegee it off and detail leftover water around edges or door handles with a towel (microfiber or surgical) You can use a bucket to mix the water and soap in so you can dip the mop in the bucket or if it’s only a few windows, you can just put a little bit of soap on the mop and wet it with water from the sink so you won’t have to waste so much water or soap.

We're new home owners and it's only been a week since moving in. Our shower glass are already stained. Definitely trying this today.
Treat it with rain-x after cleaning it. Helps keep it from getting spotted as quickly. Also squeegee the glass after every shower.
@@charlesaferg better to use turtle wax just like you do on a car but do the whole shower.
@@butterflyforeve No, turtle wax leaves a residue on any non smooth surfaces (like grout, non smooth tile, any crevices) and is a pain to put on and take off. Any modern sealant is better than turtle wax. I know, I'm actually a detailer. Turtle wax is old news.
I use lemon juice to clean the shower doors. It works great.

Yes it works well because it has citric ACID in it. I use a product called Strike from Woolworths @ $2.50/bottle with citric acid and it is the best shower door cleaner I have ever used.
