I used to clean a school and in the bathrooms after I removed all stains and build-up, I used automotive car wax on all surfaces. It made them resistant to calcium build-up in the future, aslo it was easier to wipe down.

My wife has been cleaning homes for over 30 years and this is something that she has always done, the two things that is different between what is on the video and how my wife does it, is that she ,first, with a brush, brushes with vinegar, everything, gives it a good brushing with vinegar and uses, good paper towels soaked in vinegar and presses this towel, tightly around the faucet, she leaves it alone and let the vinegar do it's job. Comes out like new, each and every time.

Wow, that's some great advice. I have stainless steel sinks and we had this white stuff that wouldn't come off with even lots of elbow grease. Luckily vinegar soaking did the trick! Our water is so hard you could break something if you sat in a tub of it. Not really but you get the picture how hard some water can be in some places. Due to health concerns about using potassium or sodium to soften our water, we can't use those methods, so we suffer with the hard water. Thanks again for this advice!

I live in a place that has really hard water too. Buildup takes hardly any time. So I've learned to completely avoid the mess that envolves too much scrubbing. I just wipe the faucet with towel very quickly after each use of faucet..got to keep it dry of that Hard water. Once in a while, I'll spray it with vinegar (from my own Boughton spray bottle), leave it on faucet few minutes, then polish it up. Believe me, faucet keeps looking new.

No wonder it didn’t work for me when I used apple cider vinegar - I just sprayed it and clean it and nothing came off. Now, it made sense that it needed to stay on longer in order to work efficiently. Thank you!

Remove the faucet handles. That will make it a lot easier to access the base of the faucet where most of the deposits are. (In this case you'd need an Allen wrench. Others might be a Phillips screwdriver.) You can soak the handles while you're working on the base.

Thank you for the suggestion, someone here once shared that a while back and I actually tried it on my faucet and it worked. I will have to do an updated video so others may know this hack as well. 😊

Try Professor Amos toilet cleaner is amazing to clean all rust and hard water stains. Give it a couple minutes No scrub just wipe off. So glad I saw it on HSN after trying every cleaner at groc store. You can see the residue just bubbling up right away.

I always keep the used lemons and scrub all household’s faucets with them. That also works like a charm.

Yes lemons work too because they have citric acid in them. Great idea on keeping the used lemons. Thanks for sharing the tip
