Ok Thank you Angela and this might not be a so smart question but can I do up sell if I charge by the hour too? Today went to by a notebook to take to a house just like you mentioned on a video and I was confident that I was going to charge by the hour for a deep clean of 2.5 bathroom and kitchen they were pretty bad with spider webs and at the end I jus said 35$ an hour
Based on this video, I purchased the Brite & Clean shower kit from Amazon. I followed the directions on the product packaging and much to my shock, it WORKED! Very little elbow grease was required. I had tried other products, as well as homemade concoctions, with little success. The product is a powder similar to the consistency of Barkeeper’s Friend. Brite & Clean did not scratch the glass at all.
Great info! Also, a tip I got from an excellent plumber I use (to help prevent hard water spots on metal) : after each cleaning of the fixture, rub with a thin film of baby oil. This helps keep the water & minerals from drying on the fixture. It works well on all metal bath & kitchen fixtures that are in contact w water.
I ordered this stuff online right after I watched the video and sent it to my cousin who lives out of state. She called me screaming of joy because she was sooo happy to find out this works. I was extremely grateful for this video because she's been dealing with hard water problems forever and hasn't been able to find anything that works. Thanks a million Angela!
I love your videos! Seems obvious but you talk through every step, and the camera shows what you're doing at that second. So many on U tube miss the action! Also, if it's a tedious amount of time, you do it in fast motion. Never boring. Love your channel, Angela!
I found your channel few hours ago and I have been binge watching. Your videos are so good. I love the scientific explanation that you give along with your cleaning method. Now only I need to stop watching at some point go and get some cleaning supplies and tools and make my house squeaky clean.
I have watched this particular video, Angela, about three times. I absolutely love it. I’m a new cleaner and I purchased the Black & Decker and we’ll go for the products that you suggest to clean the shower Smith. You’re amazing! You’re my teacher! 😃
Love your videos. I’ve just started cleaning professionally. I’ve never used the brite and clean brand hard water stain cleaner. What I use is a diy paste of baking soda and dish soap which works like magic on shower glass and tubs! Thanks for the great cleaning videos!
Great video, as usual! I so appreciate the safety information you give for the products you demonstrate. I have a lot of hard water buildup on a number of kitchen items. One is a glass jug that we use to fill our Burkey water filter. Another is a stainless steel pan that we keep on top of our wood stove to add humidity to the room. Bright and Clean doesn’t sound like a good idea for food items, or our septic system which drains into a creek. I poured full strength white vinegar in the pan and let it sit for about 45 minutes. I was able to scrub off most of the very thick whitish crud in the pan. I did the same for the glass jug. I poured an inch of vinegar in the bottom of the jug, let it sit for awhile, then I turned the jug on its side to soak each of the sides. It worked pretty well!
We have a black kitchen sink and it always gets white buildup. I just scrubbed it down and put a light layer of Olive Oil on it, and now it looks so much better! Like a conditioned black granite sink.
Thanks; can't wait till I have the opportunity to try! It really helps to see you actively show how it works, and your explanation is very helpful too😊
I've been cleaning houses for 30 years I'm going to give this a try I also want to try the baking soda and the dish soap as well to see which one works better thank you!
Thanks for this informative video and all of your others. I am starting as a manager in a cleaning business this weekend and have been watching your videos to get ideas and get pumped up.
Thank you for another informative and enjoyable video. You have a lovely way about you and it’s so great if you to share all your knowledge. You are making the world not only a cleaner but a better kinder place.
I can't say I've heard of that method. I'm sure gentle is important so as not to damage anything. I do appreciate you being here. Thank you for watching. 🙂
I've been watching you over the last few months, and I was just recently looking and hoping you would have a video on hard water stains on shower doors. And, you do!!!! I'm excited to get these products and have a beautiful, clean shower again! Thank you 😌😊💕!
I like Lime-A-Way. Rub over stains, let sit for 10 min, then wipe away. Next wipe with purified water, with a little lemon juice and rubbing alcohol; squigy and wipe.
My wife and I have been trying to find something to solve the "water stains" in the shower since we bought this house. At the last house, I used a small pressure washer with great success (chemical + pressure = no iron stains). But that approach doesn't work here on these calcium carbonate stains from the devil (yes he's responsible). All the different efforts and time and I noticed that a razor blade would not make even a little improvement and it appeared to me that the glass was etched and ruined. I'm considering ordering replacement glass of the hydroscopic type, but that is really hard to find and typically part of an upsell is some other sort. Angela, your video is informative and professional, and your clarity, accent and attitude are absolutely perfect for this role. I picture you offering this service to companies that make otherwise boring videos about whatnot. I really hate the term "upsell" because it sounds devious and excessive, maybe even dishonest. I can't tell you how to talk, but a better phrase might be, "to add needed value" with intent to make your customers really appreciate your work. In a home where this is needed, this would be the first line item on my quote, the hardest thing first. And if that is all I sold, I would have done a great service and won a customer's heart. Anyway, thanks so much for your carefulness in putting everything into this video. The build-up versus etchant controversy had brewed for a year between my wife and I, her insisting build-up and my insisting etchant. I'm sure we will laugh at the contents of your video when we watch it together after dinner before I order all the goodies you recommended.
I thought I was the only one who thought 'upsell' was a bit overused. You got some good points. I hope this stuff worked for you. I was watching because a friend of mine has this problem and I thought I'd watch and read through the comments to see if this actually works as well as it does in the video.
@@user-no2bp4mn5i we purchased all the materials in this video and failed to improve the glass. We even used a drill, 3M pads, sandpaper and all kinds of other things. The glass is etched so deepy! I would need to remove too much glass and it would be wavy and probably still not clear. I'm going to remove the glass in a few months and have a local glass shop cut some new glass. I've been searching for a hydroscopic coating, but haven't found a suitable one yet that can be purchased retail. We'll see!
Wow amazing video, there are many videos out there on how to deal with etching, none of which have been helpful. I feel like you are the only person who has a solution for otherwise permanent ethcing, I am going to get all this stuff and try it.
Hi Angela. I use the Brite & Clean Britewipes Premium Microfiber Towels and the Brite & Clean Ultimate Hard Water Stain Remover and I can attest that they both work as you discribed. The stain remover removes water spots and the towels are amazing for mirrors and glass. Thank you for the video and the recommendations.
Wow! Your technique and recommendation works beautifully. I bought your recommended products including the Black & Decker, the kit, etc. I’ve had the window cloth before and couldn’t find a replacement until now! Thanks! On to the next video/project!
I dont know what to do about my clients...and it's truly my fault for not knowing this before taking the job and not speaking up. They consider so many of these "upsell tasks" are all regular maintenance tasks and I find myself HUSTLING hard and FAST to get these things done. im talking clothes DRENCHED in sweat (squeezable!) And hand and TOES knuckles hurting so much by the time I'm done. Something always gives and its turning into a lose lose situation. What can I do? Especially if some clients are family that graciously gave me employment. Assuming I cant rectify the existing relationships, how to I correct the new ones (especially if the new ones were referrals from my current ones, thus they obviously discussed what tasks I do and how much I charge) Eeeeeeek. Thank you Angela
i completely understand you and your situation. so all your clients have hard water? family and friends are hard as well. maybe you can say beginning by this date __________, i will be charging (whatever you want to charge). then explain WHY you need to do that (takes away from other duties, etc. ) people don’t always understand how hard it is to clean homes. i am not a cleaner but i hire a company. the only thing they upsell are refrigerator deep clean and oven deep clean for $50 extra. hopefully you can email your customers (easier to break the news 😂 that way than in person).
you CAN rectify the existing situation with family members and their referrals as hard as it is. things change all the time. this is about YOUR NEEDS, not theirs remember. you’re the one sweating drenched shirt (i sweat so much 😩). your clients probably won’t be happy about upsells, but it doesn’t mean they won’t like you because of it. i used to worry about that all the time... what people thought of me and ALWAYS put my needs last. it was horrible. you’ll feel so much better. lemme know how it goes. i don’t always get these notifications, however.
Oh no! I am so sorry you are feeling like you are being taken advantage of. If you are working from a worksheet or checklists you will only do the tasks listed on the sheet. These other tasks will be extra money and scheduled separately. Time to have a talk with the clients. I hope this helps.
THANK YOU for making the distinction between hard water mineral build up and simple soap scum. Virtually no one else actually addresses hard water deposit, despite claiming to do so in the headline. Do you have a similarly miraculous product to erase hard water mineral build up on the walls and floor pan of fiberglas showers?
Brite & Clean has a website where you can ask specific questions about what their products can be used on. They will need to know what material the tub is made from. Check out: hardwaterstain.com Keep me posted on how the tub turns out : )
I enjoyed how you demonstrate step by step how it's done. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I have repeated the process 5-6 times with all the equipment and solution you have recommended. But my shower glass did not improve much. All the hard water stains are still there.
I tried almost everything. My shower had four years of hard water stains that just would not come out. The buffer and the pad and the bright and clean WORKED. I’m bragging to all my friends about it. Now to get the tiles clean…stupid effervescence. Ugh! (Fist in the air)
I use a puff that was retired and a spray bottle with 3/4 vinegar and 1/4 dawn dish soap in my home. Spray the surface down, use the puff and the hard water deposits are gone. The vinegar eats away at the calcium carbonate and the soap is lubricating making its easier to scrub and it also gets rid of body oils and ect... And it's cheap!
Hi Jannifer, You can use an electric sander (with a cloth instead of sand paper.) You can use an electric drill (but instead of a drill brush a buffing pad. There are many creative ways to do the job. The orbital buffer is around $40 amzn.to/3Nb0bFp and is a machine you will use again and again if you have hard water. Of all the alternatives, I like the Orbital buffer best because it is designed to sit on the glass surface and "buff" vs, drill or sand which are the movements of the other machines. #paidlink
PTL Angela…thank you for sharing; being so detailed. You have helped me change my thinking about cleaning. Your term maintenance makes me cleaning see cleaning in a less work way 💯.
When it comes to whitening yellowish vinyl plastic tiles, there are several options you can try. One option is to use a diluted bleach solution, combining one part bleach with three parts water. Apply the solution to the tiles, let it sit for a few minutes, gently scrub with a soft brush or sponge, and rinse thoroughly. Another option is to use oxygenated cleaners, such as hydrogen peroxide-based cleaners, following the instructions on the product for proper dilution and application. Baking soda paste can also be effective: mix baking soda with water to create a paste, apply it to the yellowed areas, scrub gently, and rinse off. Additionally, you can explore commercial vinyl cleaners specifically formulated for whitening vinyl surfaces. Always test any cleaning method on a small area first and follow safety precautions. If unsure, consult the manufacturer or a professional cleaner for guidance.
that toilet in the background would of been an excellent one to use for removing toilet stains. it's was really soiled. ps thanks for tips of removing hard water stains.
Thanks for watching and yes, the reason we clean items is because they are often really soiled. I know it makes great before and after photos when you get them clean as well.
My wife and I run a cleaning business and are anxious to try this product! How do you charge for this upsell? Square footage of glass and surface affected, by the hour (time) or a flat rate based on approximately how much shower to cover?
Thank you so much for watching. If you search my channel for 'upsells' I've done videos you may find helpful. I also offer a training course on upsells. You can find it here: savvycleaner.com/upsells-and-special-projects/ 😃
Great info!! We have a lot of iron in our water and even with a water softener, everything turns orange. Will this work for that or is there something else you can recommend? Thx.
sounds like a product that I would like to try. the sander sounds daunting! I have in my own home some severe hard water staining due to sulphur water and I have tried several different products to try and remove it. however, no luck so I will be trying this out! thanks so much for sharing! xoxo
The buffer seems intimidating but it worked amazing! I have a counter full of things to try but the bright and clean was the only thing that cleaned my incredibly bad shower store.
😱my boyfriend would die if I did this. He installs shower doors for a living. He says prevention! Apply rain-x or similar product to prevent the build up. To remove the build up I use good o white vinegar. If that doesn’t work, then I take a bucket with warm water and add salt(to soften the water).. get a microfiber cloth and dunk it into the water. Leaving it saturated, I then shake on barkeepers friend. Rub it into the cloth turning it into a liquid. Gently rub the cloth on affected area. Wipe clean with new cloth and softened water. Boom.
Yes he leaves a product with every install that’s similar to rain-x. Most the shower glass he’s installing is well above $5,000. Glass does scratch! They say the squeegees commonly used in showers are terrible for the glass. I clean house for the owners of the glass company and they prefer I use the white vinegar and microfiber cloth (they have hard water). Not a single squeegee can be found in their house. I think angelas buffing method would probably be ok for an older house. I definitely would not dare do this in my clients house on his $10,000 shower.
Angela Brown if the build up is really bad I go for a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. Could add a few drops of essential oil to help with the strong smell of the vinegar. Spray and walk away for a few minutes. For softening water for cleaning, probably a tablespoon of salt per gallon of water. (Maybe more or less depending on how bad the water is). When Pre- mixing my cleaning solutions I use filtered water (culligan bottled water). Also, barkeepers friend makes a liquid and a spray version. I found they don’t work as well as the shake powder. That’s why I use the powder but i basically dissolve It with the super wet cloth so it’s not as abrasive. Hard water is just the worst! Before we got our water softener, I would do the salt in water for washing my hair too😁
Hi, I clean glasses on a daily basis. Either shower glass or door glass or windows. You are right that squeezes are not so good especially if you apply excess pressure. It leaves scratches and they can't be removed. With time the glass looks pathetic. I would advise one not to use excess pressure if they are using squeezes.
Hi Angela thanks for all your cleaning advice please can you tell me the best way to clean my toilet bowl rim it has really stubborn stains under the rim many thanks from Julian from UK.
Check out this video< I hope it helps: Toilet Bowl Ring - 3 Different Types - ruclips.net/video/H4lWlxitHyI/видео.html And thank you for watching in the UK...sending hugs!🤗😊
Hey Angela, could you use this with your drill brush instead of an orbital buffer? I thought it might be easier to use on the faucets, and hot/cold handles and such...?
+@marian6542 if your drill brush has a buffing pad, the answer is yes. the key is to be super careful with a drill, brush, especially if using it on glass. With an orbital buffer, you’re going in a circular motion which is easier to control on glass. You have to be careful with a drill brush, because there’s a tendency for a drill to go in a drilling, or forward motion. I see a lot of damage where Cleaners and or homeowners have used a drill, brush on glass, and have gone right through the glass. Yes, it’s possible, you just have to be super careful.
Thanks so much for reaching out. Here is a link to the Brite and Clean website: www.hardwaterstain.com/help-frequently-asked-hard-water-stain-removal-questions/frequently-asked-questions I suggest you reach out to them to see what their thoughts are on using their product on black tile. 😊
Hey Angela I definitely want to check out this product. Here in Vegas we have a lot of hard water especially if you don't have a water softener. Do you have any tips for dishes that have hard water stains?
Hi , how long does it take to clean shower glass doors when using the black n decker with Brite n Clean? And, should I double that time if doing by hand?
With hard water you will be repeating the process again and again. The orbital buffer is $35 amzn.to/38DAiMt USD and worth the money to prevent hours of cleaning it by hand. Even with the buffer it may take you a good 20-30 minutes from start to finish of the project depending on the scope of work.
Yes, it is safe for faucets and drains. The secret is to make a wet paste (water and a pinch of powder) rub it around the hardware using a small brush (I use the OXO deep cleaning brushes amzn.to/34DqE9X which are far more durable than a toothbrush) and the smaller of the pack has a triangular head of bristles that allow you to get in the cracks and crevices. Leave the paste on for about two minutes before wiping off.
Angela, I have a bluish, greenish coating on a fiberglass shower floor, in my stainless steel sink, & a porcelain sink along with the whitish, crusty spots on my faucets. Do you have any idea of what would help to take this off along with a rust ring on my stainless steel sink caused by a food can apparently sitting too long in the sink? I previously had hard water, but now have water softened by potassium chloride.
www.hardwaterstain.com/best-hard-water-stain-remover/how-to-remove-hard-water-stains-on-stainless-steel-sinks-appliances-and-bbqs Check out this company, Brite and Clean. Their product removes hard water stains. 👍
WOW! you reviewed 2 of the products I was planning to buy: mrs meyer and sal suds. Thank you! I usually by the harsh chemicals because I love that chemical scent 😄 but nearly my whole family is sensitive to strong cleaning supplies so I'm thinking of trying new products and see how I like it! plus natural products are much better health wise so Hopefully the mrs meyer's aroma it's satisfying enough to keep me hooked😁🤞
Thanks for sharing this. Let me know how you like them and how they "compare" in your mind to more traditional products with bright colors and scents. I'd love to hear your reactions, and review.
@@AskAngelaBrown thank you so far I've tried the Mrs. Meyers (pear tree scented limited edition-sadly) and I've fallen in love with it. It's quite good for sealed surfaces and the scent it's quite good. Next I'll try the sal suds and come back to let you know how it went! 😊
I'm back after trying the sal suds and it's pretty versatile. I mainly bought it for 2 purposes: laundry and back up dish soap (for when we run out). It taken me some getting used to because the diluted version for the dish soap it's to watery although it works great. As for the laundry it's quite good, the prewashing spray works well enough to remove some stains I was quite surprised. As laundry detergent I can't complain it works as well as any other main brand. I'm very happy. I'll start using a scent booster because I love my strong chemicals scents 😄😄 and sal suds it's very mild with it's pine scent. I also tried using the multi-purpose spray and love it because it cuts the grease . I'll be trying it on the floors and bathroom next but I'm pretty sure it'll do it's work. I have to thank you for recommending this detergent. It's quite nice, it hits all the basis. Also I was expecting the bottle to be small but it's big for 15 dollars only and I'm sure I can find it cheaper than that. I'm quite pleased and will be buying it again. 😊
This is great info. Can we use any of the buffers that come with the drill to do this job instead of buying this tool? You have enlightened me so much with your videos.
I don't know. I'm not sure what buffers you are referring to. The big difference between an orbital buffer and an electric drill is in the handle and control you have over the unit. If you are using it to remove hard water stains on glass and shower doors, I recommend the orbital buffer because it has a wider head, sits closer to the surface and has handles for two hands which will help you control the unit so it doesn't go bangity bang and break the glass.
Thanks, Angela!! That’s so exciting that this works on granite. Ordinarily I use a phosphoric acid cleaner on porcelain and glass, but didn’t have a good solution for natural stone. Will you please do a video on using drills for heavily soap-scummed showers? I end up cleaning showers with soap scum so think I’m scraping them with plastic putty knives. Would love some “work smarter, not harder” tips for this problem. Thanks!
@@AskAngelaBrown Do you have a solution for toilet rings -same calcium carb. etching in? I'm using a pumis stone but I don't think this is good over time because scratches too much. It does work.
In my personal experience, not as well as you might hope. Here is a video showing a steam cleaner ruclips.net/video/NSDxKqOH4PQ/видео.html removing limescale from a small dish drainer. It takes 6.5 minutes of non-stop cleaning to do this. If you have forever and a day you can give it a try but my recommendation is using a chemical designed for hard water stain along with a buffer of some sort to "buff it off."
Angela, I am from Canada, and your link to Brite and Clean products don't work. Can you update these links? Today is August 10th, 2021. Thank You for all your videos. I am learning a lot!
HI Marilyn, I don't know if Brite and Clean has permits to sell their product in Canada. What you can do though is search the safety data sheet for any product you want to use, and then once you know the main ingredient, you can do a google search for "Canadian alternative to Brite and Clean" or something like that. You'll often find a product with similar or the same ingredients.
Rachelle, Here is what the Brite & Clean website has on cleaning quartz countertop: www.hardwaterstain.com/best-hard-water-stain-remover/removing-hard-water-stains-on-granite-and-quartz-countertops
2 fixes 1 dry yourself off then immediately dry shower off with same towel. Or 2 same as car wash no spot rinse, spray either RO or distilled water on surfaces.
I'm not sure what the project includes if it's just a shower or if it includes sinks, toilets, vanities, how many bathrooms etc. The project starts at $100 USD which pays for your Orbital buffer and cleaning supplies and about 35 minutes of labor. You will have to add on from there based on the scope of the job. (2023 pricing)
We buy them online. Here is the paid link amzn.to/3PUtoGd and we prefer nitrile, powder free, latex free. It seems that they are the best for cleaning, and after years of trying other types, these are the ones we settled on. They also sell them at Sams and Costco.
You can certainly try that approach. Whether it will work or not will depend on how etched the glass is from the hard water. Please keep me posted and let me know if you go that route. I'd love to hear your feedback. Pros & Cons.
Yes I was trying to clean my shower curtain with doing and vinegar yes I tried to use Dawn and vinegar to clean my shower door and it did not work do you have any suggestions for me sorry first of all my name is Sienna birthday and good afternoon and if you can help me with the question that I asked thank
Thanks so much for watching the show. Are you cleaning a shower curtain or a liner? What is the material? If it is a liner, here is a video on how to clean one: ruclips.net/video/Q_WMoG1YyjE/видео.html Skip to 6:25 for that tip.
I have a brand new black toilet that is being ruined by hard water stains that look awful. I’ve tried CLR and other products, but none have worked so far. I’m afraid to use a pumice stone on the black toilet, for fear of scratching it. Does this product work for toilet bowls, too?
It should. Before using it, turn the water off at the back of the toilet (knob on pipe.) Flush the toilet and the water will drain. Using a toilet brush to swish the remainder of the water around the area with hard water shake the powder into the bowl. Make a paste with the toilet brush and let sit for two minutes. Use a drill brush (with extension bit and a buffing pad to prevent scratching.) Something like this amzn.to/2L3PSYF with the flat piece that is closest to the front far right. That should replicate the process we did in the shower but with tools that will fit in the toilet. Does that make sense?
Morning, Angela what products can I use to clean my tile and brighten my shower grout as well as my tile in the living space. Thanks Also can you do a video or if you have pls give me the link. Thanks again AWESOME info with your videos ( home owner)
Hi Tena, Thanks for watching and for your kind words. I don't know what type of tile you have. If it it is ceramic tile which is fairly common there is a great product you can use for the tile amzn.to/2LZEQAt it is made by ZEP. I will warn you though - if you use it, use it only on the grout, (not the tile around the grout) and follow the instructions exactly. Wash and try the tile when you're done with the grout. Your tile will look new again. :-)
Neva, Are you looking for house cleaning uniforms? Here is a link to my Amazon page where you can find uniform suggestions: www.amazon.com/shop/AngelaBrown
Mixing Citric acid with water and blotching it on the shower door with a cloth seems to dissolve the hard water stains immediately. No scrubbing necessary at all. I’m wondering why I don’t see this solution out there more frequently. Is there a horrible side effect I’m missing??
They retail for $25-$30 so if you only use it for hard water stains, one use will more than pay for itself. But yes, the possibilities are endless (car buffing, cleaning the faded headlamps on your car.) Different bonnets provide different cleaning options.
Angela Brown awesome thanks! Totally agree that it’s worth it for hard water alone. Just wondering if there were other cleaning shortcuts I could use it for.
I’m not sure what type of fixtures you have in your bathroom but here is a video on bronze bathroom fixtures : ruclips.net/video/QGMO3bgBm0E/видео.html I hope it help : )
I have horrible hard water marks on my wood powder room counter. I used to be able to keep up with wiping it daily but now that my husband is working from home, the build-up is terrible. My question is would this work on wood? Similarly, in another bathroom, I have build-up around my faucets where they are close to the wall and hard to clean.
Brite and Clean is a safe and effective way to remove the most stubborn hard water stains and water spots from glass, granite, porcelain, stainless steel, chrome and fiberglass surfaces.
It is possible. I don't know if your faucets are coated or painted, but it should be safe for the surface. You may try it on an inconspicuous area like the underneath side of the faucet first, using a handheld mirror to test the results first. Let me know how it works for you and what type of coating is on your faucets.

Does this product work on mirrors, stubborn water stains??
Can we use this on granite and quarts?
Based on this video, I purchased the Brite & Clean shower kit from Amazon. I followed the directions on the product packaging and much to my shock, it WORKED! Very little elbow grease was required. I had tried other products, as well as homemade concoctions, with little success. The product is a powder similar to the consistency of Barkeeper’s Friend. Brite & Clean did not scratch the glass at all.
That's awesome! Thank you for your feedback and for watching the video. 🙂
I haven't heard of this before...thanks for the tip!🙂
Behold furniture polish works well too.
I've always used mineral oil for that.
That’s wonderful! I am so happy this video helped and your cousin likes the product Brite and Clean.
I love your videos! Seems obvious but you talk through every step, and the camera shows what you're doing at that second. So many on U tube miss the action! Also, if it's a tedious amount of time, you do it in fast motion. Never boring. Love your channel, Angela!

I too appreciate your thorough explanations and demonstrations.
I found your channel few hours ago and I have been binge watching. Your videos are so good. I love the scientific explanation that you give along with your cleaning method. Now only I need to stop watching at some point go and get some cleaning supplies and tools and make my house squeaky clean.
Woohoo! I have a new friend. Thanks for finding me and for spending a few minutes of your time here with me today. :-)

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing and for watching the video, I appreciate it! Wishing you lots of success!😊
Thank you for sharing your tips, I appreciate it!
We have a black kitchen sink and it always gets white buildup. I just scrubbed it down and put a light layer of Olive Oil on it, and now it looks so much better! Like a conditioned black granite sink.
Great tip, thanks!
Thanks; can't wait till I have the opportunity to try! It really helps to see you actively show how it works, and your explanation is very helpful too😊
I am so glad you found my video helpful. Thanks for letting me know. 🤗
I've been cleaning houses for 30 years I'm going to give this a try I also want to try the baking soda and the dish soap as well to see which one works better thank you!
Oh wow, 30 years...that is awesome! Give them a try and let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this informative video and all of your others. I am starting as a manager in a cleaning business this weekend and have been watching your videos to get ideas and get pumped up.
Congratulations on your new job. I'm so excited for you. Thanks for watching and keep me posted, I'm here rooting for you. :-)

You're welcome! And thank you for watching the video. 🙂
Thanks. Hope you had a chance to do something about that toilet in the first shower cleaning clip.
I did! Good eye...thanks for watching!
Gratitude!!! I would use fine sandpaper for scrubbing very gently.
I can't say I've heard of that method. I'm sure gentle is important so as not to damage anything. I do appreciate you being here. Thank you for watching. 🙂

That’s great! I’m so glad you liked the tips in the video.

Thanks for sharing your cleaning tip and for watching the vido, I appreciate it!😊
Again Great video Angela! i will practice this in my house before upselling, shame for those who hit the "thumbs down" button
No one can see them anymore thought 😂 YT got rid of the ability to see the thumbs down for a reason 🤷♀️ they may or may not bring it back.
👍
I have had great success with soft scrub and a magic eraser sponge
Thanks for sharing and for watching the video. 🙂
This totally worked! Thank you!
We'll see!
Thanks so much for watching the show! 😊
I use CLR. I’d like to try Brite because there’s no odor and it sounds less caustic. I did try windows Away, the foam cleaner and it was fantastic.
Thank you for your feedback and thanks for watching the video.🙂
Wow amazing video, there are many videos out there on how to deal with etching, none of which have been helpful. I feel like you are the only person who has a solution for otherwise permanent ethcing, I am going to get all this stuff and try it.
Let me know how it works for you. I'd love to hear your feedback. :-)

My daughter and I love your videos. We are learning how to really clean.
Thank you so much for your feedback and for watching the video. 🙂

May have to go look for this product.
Thank you for watching from Singapore! 😊
I'm glad these products worked for you! Thank you for sharing this feedback😊
Wow! Your technique and recommendation works beautifully. I bought your recommended products including the Black & Decker, the kit, etc. I’ve had the window cloth before and couldn’t find a replacement until now! Thanks! On to the next video/project!
Yay Darlene! I’m glad you found the technique and recommendation helpful. Keep me posted on your next project. 😊
How is this better from using the “pink stuff”? are they comparable?
Great question, I’ll have to add the Pink Stuff to my list of products to review. 👍
You are awesome, love your videos. I’m just a housewife not professional cleaner, love your tips to clean everything!

I'm so excited to try this!
Woo Hoo! Let me know what you think of it. 👍
Thank you Angela
i completely understand you and your situation. so all your clients have hard water? family and friends are hard as well. maybe you can say beginning by this date __________, i will be charging (whatever you want to charge). then explain WHY you need to do that (takes away from other duties, etc. ) people don’t always understand how hard it is to clean homes.
i am not a cleaner but i hire a company. the only thing they upsell are refrigerator deep clean and oven deep clean for $50 extra.
hopefully you can email your customers (easier to break the news 😂 that way than in person).
she’s usually really good about responding to comments but i guess she missed yours.
you CAN rectify the existing situation with family members and their referrals as hard as it is. things change all the time. this is about YOUR NEEDS, not theirs remember. you’re the one sweating drenched shirt (i sweat so much 😩). your clients probably won’t be happy about upsells, but it doesn’t mean they won’t like you because of it. i used to worry about that all the time... what people thought of me and ALWAYS put my needs last. it was horrible. you’ll feel so much better. lemme know how it goes. i don’t always get these notifications, however.
@@bkirstie thank you so much for all your advice❤❤❤❤
Oh no! I am so sorry you are feeling like you are being taken advantage of. If you are working from a worksheet or checklists you will only do the tasks listed on the sheet. These other tasks will be extra money and scheduled separately. Time to have a talk with the clients. I hope this helps.
Great helpful video. Thankyou! I can’t find the links to the products you are using. I need to find that red Black and Decker buffer, etc. 🙏🏻
Thanks for watching! Here you go - amzn.to/4cmRDaE (affiliate link*)

This video may be helpful: ruclips.net/video/bxUKUuwkaDU/видео.html Thank you for watching! 🤗
Does this work for inside the tub. Have hard water stains in the tube have tried everything to no avail. I appreciate your response.
Brite & Clean has a website where you can ask specific questions about what their products can be used on. They will need to know what material the tub is made from.
Check out: hardwaterstain.com
Keep me posted on how the tub turns out : )
This is a great & informative video. Thanks for sharing. 👏❤️ I'll be definitely trying these products out
Thank you Angela. You're amazing 🛁🚿🪣
You're welcome! And thank you so much for your kind words and for watching. 🙂
I get so many great tips from you, thank you!
Glad you like them!
You are so knowledgeable!!!
Glad you think so! Thank you!
I enjoyed how you demonstrate step by step how it's done. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I have repeated the process 5-6 times with all the equipment and solution you have recommended. But my shower glass did not improve much. All the hard water stains are still there.
If the hard water is etched so deeply in the glass, it may need to be replaced. I've heard of situations like this.
@@AskAngelaBrown Thanks for the reply and advice.
Hi Angela. I have been enjoying your videos. Thank you for sharing all of your many years of knowledge!
You're welcome! And thank you for watching the video. 🙂
I tried almost everything. My shower had four years of hard water stains that just would not come out. The buffer and the pad and the bright and clean WORKED. I’m bragging to all my friends about it. Now to get the tiles clean…stupid effervescence. Ugh! (Fist in the air)
Natasha, I am so glad the product worked to remove the hard water stains in your shower. I appreciate you sharing this : )
I use a puff that was retired and a spray bottle with 3/4 vinegar and 1/4 dawn dish soap in my home. Spray the surface down, use the puff and the hard water deposits are gone. The vinegar eats away at the calcium carbonate and the soap is lubricating making its easier to scrub and it also gets rid of body oils and ect... And it's cheap!
Great tip. Thanks for sharing!
I love your videos! I’m going to try the Brite and Rite product. What if you don’t have a buffer? What can use in place of it? Thank you, Jen

Best product to whiten yellowish vinyl plastic tiles?
Thank you for this awesome video and thorough demonstration! You are the BEST!!!
You're welcome! And thank you thank you so much for watching. 🙂
Would you recommend this for hard water stains on glass stoves?
Yes, that would work. I'm curious why is hard water on a glass stove?
that toilet in the background would of been an excellent one to use for removing toilet stains. it's was really soiled. ps thanks for tips of removing hard water stains.

Yes, it can also work on frosted glass. Let me know how it works for you.

sounds like a product that I would like to try. the sander sounds daunting! I have in my own home some severe hard water staining due to sulphur water and I have tried several different products to try and remove it. however, no luck so I will be trying this out! thanks so much for sharing! xoxo
Doesn't hurt to give it a try. I hope it helps with your issue. Thanks for watching the video.
The buffer seems intimidating but it worked amazing! I have a counter full of things to try but the bright and clean was the only thing that cleaned my incredibly bad shower store.
If it is not supposed to get into the sewer, what happens when you wash your buffing pad or cloths?
Washing should dilute the small amount you are using. Have you used this product?
😱my boyfriend would die if I did this. He installs shower doors for a living. He says prevention! Apply rain-x or similar product to prevent the build up. To remove the build up I use good o white vinegar. If that doesn’t work, then I take a bucket with warm water and add salt(to soften the water).. get a microfiber cloth and dunk it into the water. Leaving it saturated, I then shake on barkeepers friend. Rub it into the cloth turning it into a liquid. Gently rub the cloth on affected area. Wipe clean with new cloth and softened water. Boom.
Emily C Rain-x is definitely good for prevention of hard water soap scum build up! On those brand new shower doors and walls.
Before we got our water softener, I would do the salt in water for washing my hair too😁
Great tip!

Hi Angela! I can't find the cloth you talked about at the end. Can you help

Hi Angela. Thanks for this useful video.Whats is the size of gloves you are wearing?
Hey Angela I definitely want to check out this product. Here in Vegas we have a lot of hard water especially if you don't have a water softener. Do you have any tips for dishes that have hard water stains?
Are you washing your dishes by hand or in a dishwasher?
@@AskAngelaBrown by hand with a dish wand
Hi , how long does it take to clean shower glass doors when using the black n decker with Brite n Clean? And, should I double that time if doing by hand?
With hard water you will be repeating the process again and again. The orbital buffer is $35 amzn.to/38DAiMt USD and worth the money to prevent hours of cleaning it by hand. Even with the buffer it may take you a good 20-30 minutes from start to finish of the project depending on the scope of work.
Do you polish the aluminum in the shower?...how to you get in those cracks and crevices with the product?

Check out this company, Brite and Clean. Their product removes hard water stains. 👍
Thanks! I will try it.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
WOW! you reviewed 2 of the products I was planning to buy: mrs meyer and sal suds.
Nice , work perfect
Thanks 👍
This is great info. Can we use any of the buffers that come with the drill to do this job instead of buying this tool? You have enlightened me so much with your videos.
I don't know. I'm not sure what buffers you are referring to. The big difference between an orbital buffer and an electric drill is in the handle and control you have over the unit. If you are using it to remove hard water stains on glass and shower doors, I recommend the orbital buffer because it has a wider head, sits closer to the surface and has handles for two hands which will help you control the unit so it doesn't go bangity bang and break the glass.
@@AskAngelaBrownyou answered my question exactly. Thanks for your time.
Does this product help with etched in calcium and lime deposits on a shower glass?
It depends on how serious the damage is from the etching. Often it will just buff out using this process.
@@AskAngelaBrown Thanks Angela. Love your videos. Your a very good teacher and I'm sure businesswoman.
Thanks!

@@AskAngelaBrown Do you have a solution for toilet rings -same calcium carb. etching in? I'm using a pumis stone but I don't think this is good over time because

Hi Angela will a steamer work on hard water stains.
@@AskAngelaBrown yeah i just don't have the time to be using a buffer. What type of product would you say works the best on the shower heads.
@@AskAngelaBrown Thank you Angela! I will check it out.

2 fixes
1 dry yourself off then immediately dry shower off with same towel.
Or
2 same as car wash no spot rinse, spray either RO or distilled water on surfaces.
Thank you for sharing your tips and thanks for watching the video.🙂
Can it be used on fiberglass showers
Yes and works wonderfully on it.
Question, which price do you think is fair to charge?
You will need to do a walkthrough to see everything that needs to be cleaned.
How do you charge ?
I got 2 clients they want me to do that for then
I'm not sure what the project includes if it's just a shower or if it includes sinks, toilets, vanities, how many bathrooms etc. The project starts at $100 USD which pays for your Orbital buffer and cleaning supplies and about 35 minutes of labor. You will have to add on from there based on the scope of the job. (2023 pricing)
Where do you get your gloves?
We buy them online. Here is the paid link amzn.to/3PUtoGd and we prefer nitrile, powder free, latex free. It seems that they are the best for cleaning, and after years of trying other types, these are the ones we settled on. They also sell them at Sams and Costco.
Hi Angela, wouldn’t a steamer + calcium tablets work as easy?
You can certainly try that approach. Whether it will work or not will depend on how etched the glass is from the hard water. Please keep me posted and let me know if you go that route. I'd love to hear your feedback. Pros & Cons.

Can a hand, battery-powered sander be used with buffer instead?
+Maria del Pilar Perez yes it can. Make sure you are using a soft cloth and have a way to attach it to the sander.
Does that make sense?
try dawn and vinegar mixture. that sucks. one would think you get a black toilet not to show stains.
I love you're advices 👏👏
So glad that you do...thank you so much!! 😊

@@AskAngelaBrown Thanks again for All you do and info yes I do have ceramic tile lol
😂🤣😂🤣we ask this question a million times. Much needed video. Will purchase.🤞🏾
Also the orbital is a must!
Thanks for watching the video. 🙂
What do you recommend as a charge for an upsell like this one on shower doors?
Where do you buy cleaning clothes
Neva, Are you looking for house cleaning uniforms? Here is a link to my Amazon page where you can find uniform suggestions: www.amazon.com/shop/AngelaBrown
In the U.K. Viakal is good for showers.
Good to know...thanks for sharing!
Mixing Citric acid with water and blotching it on the shower door with a cloth seems to dissolve the hard water stains immediately. No scrubbing necessary at all. I’m wondering why I don’t see this solution out there more frequently. Is there a horrible side effect I’m missing??
Theresa, I’ll have to look into this. Thank you for leaving a comment. 👍
This is just the video I have needed! Question: are there any other handy household uses for this buffer?
They retail for $25-$30 so if you only use it for hard water stains, one use will more than pay for itself. But yes, the possibilities are endless (car buffing, cleaning the faded headlamps on your car.) Different bonnets provide different cleaning options.
Angela Brown awesome thanks! Totally agree that it’s worth it for hard water alone. Just wondering if there were other cleaning shortcuts I could use it for.
How about getting hard water off of bathroom fixtures for the bathroom
I’m not sure what type of fixtures you have in your bathroom but here is a video on bronze bathroom fixtures : ruclips.net/video/QGMO3bgBm0E/видео.html
I hope it help : )
I have horrible hard water marks on my wood powder room counter. I used to be able to keep up with wiping it daily but now that my husband is working from home, the build-up is terrible. My question is would this work on wood? Similarly, in another bathroom, I have build-up around my faucets where they are close to the wall and hard to clean.
Sorry, it's not made for cleaning wood.
Can it be used on fiberglass showers?
Brite and Clean is a safe and effective way to remove the most stubborn hard water stains and water spots from glass, granite, porcelain, stainless steel, chrome and fiberglass surfaces.
Buffing and sanding are exactly the same thing, just with finer abrasive.
Thanks for sharing this it's true. For this reason, the pads you use when buffing glass are very important. so we don't scratch the glass. 👍
Can brute and clean be use on blk faucets
It is possible. I don't know if your faucets are coated or painted, but it should be safe for the surface. You may try it on an inconspicuous area like the underneath side of the faucet first, using a handheld mirror to test the results first. Let me know how it works for you and what type of coating is on your faucets.
