I love how Paul serves well here as an Orthodox wingman.

Paul, stop fighting it. You're becoming one of us. You're being transfigured into an Orthodox.🙂

I can now see how being a Christian at church is like being in a well oiled-machine in a spiritual war zone. Without the well-oiled machine, the war becomes physical and bloody fast.
Great insight at the end from Paul.

There has to be white light for there to be the rainbow. What a great image.

It is quite interesting that all those "colors" protest against the "white privileged man" which actually represents authority that enabled them to protest in the first place. It was mostly white men with all the deficiencies and failures who formed the liberal democracies we live in.

@@pu3he In Joseph's robe - & the ephod of his heirs - the colours of the tribes are bound in a 'commonwealth'. Those who "disrupt the prescribed western family" [BLM website] know that "white light can be broken" [Saruman] but can only then be bound by 'common enemy' identity politics.

Man, the whole Language of Creation chapter on circles, crooked and straight lines in conjunction with the idea of a rainbow as being crooked or totally circular surrounding the axle of white light is really a strong indication of the structure of things and how “symbolism happens”. Also, the addition of black and brown stripes to the flag is just such a dangerous game to play. I don’t think they realize what they’re doing at all by adding race to the symbol.

@@ronwood788 Oh, they know EXACTLY what they are doing. Some of them, anyway. None of this is happening by accident. It's all quite thought out. Organised chaos.

One good way to frame it is as a medieval/fantasy army.
If all the knights and lords pledge allegiance to The King, then they won’t squabble with each other despite their differences.
Similarly, a knight who desires to be gifted a beautiful estate by the King would do their best to ensure he understood how deeply they declared their allegiance to him, they would sing songs to boost the morale of their armies and themselves so that they could go into battle bravely.
Really I think that’s the best way for a secular person to understand what religious people are doing. They have declared allegiance to a power that they believe will grant them eternal rewards in the next life. Everything is a consequence of that allegiance

Aelfred burned some loaves but saved the crops by uniting the many (Angle, Saxon, Jute & Dane) into one [4:10]. This is the purpose of the 'Loaf-Warden' (Lord). The old gods did not go away, rather the Moon-day, Tiu's-day, Weden's-day, Thurin's-day, Fria's-day & Saturn's-day became subordinate to Baldr-daeg (High/Beautiful/Sun-Day).

He would apparently sleep around behind his wife, being a Civil Rights rock star. Even if not, he is as human as the rest of us, so he dealt with pride, lust, envy, hatred, etc., all the same.
