Man you rock! I like your videos and learn a lot from you! We manage a county government fleet of like 365 vehicles and you are very helpful with your vids!
I guess the bean counters factored in that warranty repairs on the APIM are cheaper than spending a couple dollars more to build a more reliable component
How about we just don't say stuff like this to draw attention and let it be There is a tule of thumb when it comes to certain things and they can't base 1 guys actions on an entire industry IT DOESNT WORK THAT WAY - LOL
Everytime I see this I'm like yeah if you really believed what you said you wouldnt draw attention to it It never fails people just don't think clearly and I do have a email for a reason that's all over this page if someone here was really concerned
Totally enjoy and learn from all of your posts. Now totally off topic, I just want to know what your opinion is on when doing an oil change and using an oil extractor and removing the oil from the dip stick tube. I have a 2020 Explorer ST and have done it both ways. Thanks in advance.....Brian.....
Obviously you've been there once or twice! Lol or maybe you've seen it in a video.... Hey I could use some guidance on my daughters 1.5 ecoboost (Fusion flavored).... you game? Idk if you want to use email or? It's not in any of your videos(yet) and not a coolant intrusion problem, low oil pressure without any of the signs of camshaft or valve train destruction. Already done cursory repairs that I can get clear information on. You seem to have the market cornered on the ecoboost. I could really use/appreciate some experience with it. I already know the local ford dealers will tell me the engine is done, time to replace. It runs too good and went too many miles already(unknown to me when I discovered this) to be wasted.
Well you should do better because for years they have been complete trash and if you're on the engineering team and you allow it to continue to happen and you're not speaking up you're just as bad as the problem is I got love for you but I also have to speak my mind you guys haven't made things any better with these modules and they are complete trash and they need to be fixed and updated with something more robust and better than this cheap garbage we are using
@@FordBossMe i think PD needs to hear reality more often. Too many layers that shield us. Thanks for speaking up. I'll stay tuned for the wrenching videos as a car guy. I had my fill of computer stuff in my day job.
On our 2018 f150, the screen will lock up or lag, the GPS quits working sometimes, and every now and then when turning up the volume it will continue to keep going up on its own to full blast. Do you think that would be covered under warranty?
Great job just just don't think you should be replacing shit like this on a 22 that to you think your looking to down the road not just saying ford it all the pieces of shit there coming out with now don't take it personally love the videos keep it up👍

@@FordBossMe well I was mistaken. The 12v socket does have power. My plug was bad but it works. The screen won’t power on and the usb ports don’t work. Fuses seem to check out fine. Reset APIM module with forscan and still won’t power on
@@FordBossMehow do you determine which one you need. My 2018 f250 screen been freezing/ lagging since it got cold this year. Now it won’t turn on. Pulled fuse the it powered back on. Till it sat for a few hours. Any advice would help. Thanks

If Ford bean counters see this, they will cut down the amount paid for warranty replacement labor 🤣
You have a point.

The accessory protocol interface module is covered under 3-year 36000 bumper to bumper warranty
If you have an extended service program through Ford it's also covered in some cases
And if you have a good aftermarket warranty sometimes they will cover it but if you don't have those three it's not covered
@@FordBossMe we got the 125,000 mile warranty
