Glad to hear you got it! Timing really is the hardest thing to get. I honestly try to click the module reset a millisecond before I see it pop up

This works flawless on my SYNC3.4 (Build 21194). I installed some (but not all) of the F-Mods as well. One minor observation - the mod called "Enhanced Top Bar" is not (yet) compatible with my version of SYNC3. The video player is awesome! Now to rip some MP4s!

Hello, I’m having an issue. I did the jail break then did the daemon and when I try to do the mods tools I get an abort message and says I need utserviceutility. Instructions on fmods says to download a synce package and pull that file and drag it to syncmymods folder. I can’t seem to find a sync3 package. Any help with sending me the file I need?

Hello, New subscriber. I have a question. I have a 2015 Mustang GT with sync 3 system. Originally had a sync2 but upgraded. I just recently installed 3.4 using cyan labs syn 3 updater. By doing this does it jailbreak my sync3? Also do I have to jailbreak my sync3 with 3.4 to install wallpapers?

Is there any chance you verified this jailbreak works properly on 2023 Fords with the 27-in screen tech package?
I just picked up a Ford Explorer ST and would love to jailbreak it but I've only seen this work on the smaller touch screens
If you're referring to the portrait layout display then yes it works. I just did it to my ExST

Thank you for your work. I have completed the steps outlined in the video, however I am not sure it worked as my menus look exactly the same as it did prior. I did see the A-Team screens during install. Is there suppose to additional/optional menus available? I appreciate your time and assistance.

This just allows you to install mods, the mods you want need to be downloaded from the fmods site
Hi, love it, with this I was able to change my background. But one small problem 2018 f150 navigation voice doesn't work. any idea what I did wrong? Please help! I do a lot of travel I need my voice. When I connect my iPhone to it it does the same no voice
@NaviUpgrade I have the Vgate Vlinker FS USB windows version. It is switch less. Would this work to do the hack? I have used this adapter to set Bambi mode and global windows up and down on my 2016 Ford Escape Titanium. Everytime someone says it has to be a switchable adapter I kinda get freaked out. So am I correct in saying I can use this Vgate Vlinker FS adapter to do anything a switched adapter can do? I hope my questions are not to confusing.

@naviupgrade I have a new to me 2017 MKZ with a recently upgrade to 3.version installed.
I had fmods on my explorer and worked the first time to install it and worked great thereafter.
However, on this radio, there is no APIM Module as far as I can see. Any suggestions to do the install?
I can reset the Radio with the power button and skip forward button but the software fails to install
Suggestions as to why there is no APIM Module? I know these radios do in fact have an APIM attached to the back of the screen.
how would you recommend one go about screen mirroring to a sync device?

Could the reboot be done without Forscan, via the Seek Up (a.k.a Next Track) and power button reset? I understand getting the timing right may be more difficult, just wondering if it's possible though.
This is a good question but honestly I don't think so... timing really has to be spot on for this method to work. Pretty much this method is using a vulnerability in QNX to sneak in the thing that allows everything to get unsigned, allowing the Daemon and Mods Tools to be installed.
It can be done by cutting power also such as pulling a fuse or battery, but for the cost of a cheap ELM327 adapter it's really better to just do that :)
So somebody in the CyanLabs discord was able to make this happen but had to start pressing before putting the USB in. Probably very hard to get the timing perfect using this method
Yes basically we just did it with the buttons timing is key
So long as you already have a laptop or any computer near your car that's able to run forscan, it's worth having. The cable I bought was the more expensive one at about $60. There was actually a cheaper one. If I remember it was $30-$40. Forscan itself was free unless you want the beta and even that was $12. I don't know if beta was necessary for this mod. I already have beta because I needed to reprogram the tcm.
If you own a newer Ford or Lincoln and do any of your own work Forscan and the cable are absolutely worth it. It will pay for itself as soon as you encounter an issue.
What does the jailbreak alow u to change and will my 2018 f150 be eligible for the 3.4 update without having to go on cynlabs
Will this work in order to add navigation (specifically) on a 2020 Edge with the SYNC 3 and 8" SCRN W/APPLINK?

You can download and create the USBs from any computer
this isnt working on my 2019 F150. my sync model might not be the correct one? my sync wasnt in the range it was showing on the download link, could this be why its not working?
I went through the steps. One thing that did happen with my installation was that it froze on the dameon install screen. It finally restarted, I put the 3rd USB in, and I disconnected from forscan. How do I know the installation was successful?

Hiya Brian, would you happen to know to fix Sync 4 Apims black screen? seems to be common. at ford theres some values that need to be changed before doing updates and if they are not done the update seems to kill the picture output. there are vids saying volume down & forward button for 10 seconds but its beyond that. forscan still reads & edits apim as per usual. apparently module update does nothing. thanks

I can not get this to work...
Installing the first stick does not open a window or dialog on forscan. My laptop just makes a notification sound to let me know a USB has been plugged in. The sound keeps happening if I leave the USB in.
When prompted to shut of engine, do I do that or just click the yes button. You are on a bench so this wasn't explained.
When trying stick 2, do you start your engine first? FORscan prompts me to turn aux on but do not start engine... Again, not the same on a bench.
hello I have a problem with my module, I get the Ford emblem and then a black screen, I removed the battery for a few minutes, I reset Syng with diagnostics and again a black screen, the radio works, but I can't adjust the frequencies, the disc is inside and I can't get it in, but it reads it and my music plays did they have any way to flash the module and what the flashing is done with
Shut the truck off at subway the other day and came back out and started the truck and it asked me if I wanted to update auto and send info to sync I hit no then my back ground went back to blue n silver in the day …. Now everytime I turn the truck off and back on it ask me this question and the screen goes back to blue even if I change it … idk what happened I had a black theme and custom background perfectly for over a year or more no issues .. maybe it auto updated some how?
I finally find the error infor here . My 2018 focus with Sync3.0.20204 one day the Navi show me "Navigation is not functioning properly". I didn't touch anything just suddenly one day moring became like that. Is it the software issue? or hardware? I haven't go to the dealer to check. I want to know If I am able to fix my self? I have Obd wire and forscan ready.
Okay so I was able to get a far as USB #2 to install but then I can't get #3 to install it says it recognize the stick but didn't index it etc just sits wtf am I missing does it take quite awhile for last stick to load up and what are you supposed to do with forscan when it says to turn car off then back on etc while the usbs are doing there thing any help would be great I've been trying this for weeks here and their and I have to turn my tune off each time I'm just pissed it's so close but no dice. It shows A Team installed already remove stick to reboot I do but it just sits as faded screen I turn car off and on still nothing
hi in your 3 usb you dont copy utserviceutility , on instruction it says : in order to install the mod you need an additional binary file called utserviceutility do i need to add utserviceutility ?

I've recently installed new mod on the 3.4.21265 but didn't like the mod so I've downgraded to 3.4 21194, hoping to jailbreak break this using the stick1,2 and 3 usb, but unfortunately I cannot get the 1st stick to install, do I need to format the Sync 3 from fresh ? If so where do I find this or can you send me link ? Once this has been formatted do I then install 3.4 21265 then jailbreak this using 1,2 and 3 stick usb ?

Sorry if this is a bit unrelated, but this seems like the place where people might be knowledgeable about the subject. Is it possible to flat out replace a SYNC-1 4 inch unit with an android radio? I hate this thing, and want an aftermarket head unit but I can't find ANY resources on the matter.

Hey I heard about you and I wanted to check it out man I got a question I just got a Ford 2016 explorer and it got the sink too and I wanted to upgrade it to the sync 3 because it doesn't have the navigation and I don't have like heated seats I hear the steering so what do you suggest should I still do it cuz I really want it I am what would be the best one to get I don't know if there's any certain model or anything to get out there cuz when I looked on eBay and Amazon they had the sync 3 for the F-150 and I was wondering what do you suggest but I'm going to watch all your videos and I'm going to tell a couple of my friends about it

Hey there! If you want, you can do it either way... I've got a video coming out tomorrow morning showing you how to update and keep your jailbreak. Obviously the easier method would be to update and then jailbreak. FORScan will automatically reboot Sync 3, you don't really need to do an ignition cycle which will help save some time.

Everything works in my sync 3 update, except my Siriusxm travel. how do I restore it? no information shows up.

Of course I would like to access videos… etc while driving but one Of my concerns / problems is I would like to have the same access to sync 3 as when a passenger is seated in the passenger seat. Does this fix that concern?
I definitely suggest signing up on the FMods forums and seeing all that is possible. I definitely have quite a few more videos to make on this subject and I can't really type out all the things you can do with this 😅

Please please please give a video if there isn't one. 2016 Escapes are a nightmare. I've bought every gadget I could and had to return them all because it's just locked. They show how easy it is for the regular radios to be set but not this monstrosity. Sync is my only issue with this tiny vehicle.

Hello there while syncing and updateing apim i pit usb in car it started and finished really quckly and there was written update complited and u can remove the usb. and i removed it.. then suddenly display went black. after that it has no reactio. on any action.. csn u guys please help me ? how can i figure it out how can i finish it or re instal old version

What if you already have version 3.4 and will this allow you to play video files and not just hear the audio from the video files on a USB drive
Had no luck installing. Got the first 2 flash drives to install. But the 3rd one would never do anything. It would tell me Damon installers already installed but then I would do the third USB drive and it would give me another error saying it can't find a certain file
I redownloaded the files. Still no luck. I noticed that they were extracting those files inside of another file, so I moved those files out of that file so they're on the route of The drive but still no luck either way
Isaw your post in the 2G fusion page on facebook. I like where this is going. but have a few questions.
1. So to my understanding to the only way to watch a video or anything of the sort is to have it downloaded on a usb drive and keep the drive plugged in? Cannot just plug a phone in and choose files from your phone? such as a fully unlocked alike version of carplay or auto? If you get what im asking? Thank you.
Hey Ronnie! So yeah the only way to watch videos as of right now is via a USB flash drive. Unfortunately somebody would need to make some sort of Android Auto clone that allows video in motion. There are a few out there on Android Auto (not sure of CarPlay to be frank). If you're on Android Auto check out AAStore and CarTube
@@NaviUpgrade what you just suggested. Is that a plug in to the USB to act as a spoof and transmits phone files into a USB type coding? Still would require a jailbreak to watch while moving correct?

One of the only things I keep secret 😜 it's really just an Arduino with a script running the boot signal.
