Is that the most common solenoid to go out on the 4 eat? I get slipping at random times under 20 miles per hour letting off the throttle back on the throttle it will slip for a second then catch also hard shifting out of first into second gear at random times.
Hello, a friend of mine, got a P0965 code, on Subaru Outback 2010, CVT A/T. This code is about "B" solenoid. How can i know where is this solenoid.?? did you have a schem ? Thanks !!!
Just in case someone reads this question referencing a solenoid B on a 2010 CVT transmission...this video in in reference to the Subaru 4EAT transmission, which us a 4 speed automatic transmission used on Subaru's from 1999-2009.
@@XJFOX well... You should consider center diff. But it's simple to diagnose transfer clutch solenoid on transmission wiring ecu connector, so check it either
I performed the replacement so annoyed it is still doing it. I guess that would be a problem with the clutches now because they drove it for so long like this.
Hi Sir, I have a levorg and it vibrate when I turn sharp left or right. Mechanic told me its because of awd selenoid. But when I check under the car nothing go wrong. Suspension axle everything look alright. Do you have any idea of why car vibrates?

just bought one and the snout doesnt fit into the valve body. compared it side by side to the old solenoid and not even the same diameter . yes im sure i have the phase 2. super disappointed that i wasted the time and money just to have it not fit where it is supposed to go. nice job putting the correct parts in the kit rostra...
ALWAYS double check for part numbers. No one should be taking advice to the fullest extent from anyone on the internet. Call dealerships first, talk to mechanics and read some forums before doing a job like this.

They labeled it incorrectly as I found out when I opened up the trans because mine is phase 2 but this does not fit into the bore and the dimensions aren't the same but it looks similar. I've seen the phase 1 and they are completely different solenoids. Nice try but this was not user error in the least.
4EAT is the type of automatic transmission Subaru, Nissan and ford used in their cars before switching to CVT. It has 4 speeds. Subaru used it exclusively along with the 5EAT, the 5 speed version.

Thank you for making this video, still a lot of 4EAT phase 2 version 2's driving around and version 1's too.
An absolute life saver ..Thank you for a great video clip..
Great video mate, is the 5eat the same procedure ?? And how do you diagnosis which solenoid is bad ?? Thanks very much guys.

Can you swap the solenoids from a non turbo 05 forester 4eat automatic to an 04 turbo forester 4eat automatic?

did you ever fix it?
My legacy 2.5 1998 looks like locking rear wheel during tight corners. May it be the transfer clutch solenoid or central differential?
if its the solenoid you'll get the "16 flashes of death". AT OIL TEMP light will flash 16 times on startup
@@SubieSage A better way to diagnose the solenoid is applying front wheel fuse. If fwd wont light up on painel, that's the solenoid for sure
