Can you swap the solenoids from a non turbo 05 forester 4eat automatic to an 04 turbo forester 4eat automatic?
Olá tudo bem gostaria de saber como testar a solenóide 5202330000 do câmbio automático TH180
I performed the replacement so annoyed it is still doing it. I guess that would be a problem with the clutches now because they drove it for so long like this.
What are the 5 small ones on the left called? Does Rostra make them too?
yes they do
My ADHD is forcing me to play Diablo 4. Ill be back later to learn how to hate automatic transmissions even more than i already do.
Can this solenoid be installed without removing the valve body?
Thank you for making this video, still a lot of 4EAT phase 2 version 2's driving around and version 1's too.
just bought one and the snout doesnt fit into the valve body. compared it side by side to the old solenoid and not even the same diameter . yes im sure i have the phase 2. super disappointed that i wasted the time and money just to have it not fit where it is supposed to go. nice job putting the correct parts in the kit rostra...
ALWAYS double check for part numbers. No one should be taking advice to the fullest extent from anyone on the internet. Call dealerships first, talk to mechanics and read some forums before doing a job like this.
@@RandoWisLuL 10+ years and ASE master tech. I double checked the hell out of the part numbers and did the research for this issue, on the trans and my vehicle. They labeled it incorrectly as I found out when I opened up the trans because mine is phase 2 but this does not fit into the bore and the dimensions aren't the same but it looks similar. I've seen the phase 1 and they are completely different solenoids. Nice try but this was not user error in the least.
@@kloc4995 you made it sound like you came on here and looked at this video, ordered the parts, and complained it didn't work 🤷♂
4EAT??? What is it meaning??? My impreza power light blinking. It seems solenoid fail.My transmission code is TA1A2AU7AA
4EAT is the type of automatic transmission Subaru, Nissan and ford used in their cars before switching to CVT. It has 4 speeds. Subaru used it exclusively along with the 5EAT, the 5 speed version.
Thought i got rostra solenoids but i must have gotten knock offs as it shifts worse now than it did before lol. To bad they dont sell them directly
Also tried to get the new ones out to put the old ones back in but the slu solenoid wont slide out now
i gues you put it wrong.
This does not look like a job your average backyard handyman should attempt.
I need to buy one of these kits for a Gen4 4EAT (Legacy/Liberty). Can anyone point me to an online seller that ships to Australia?
Hi Sir, I have a levorg and it vibrate when I turn sharp left or right. Mechanic told me its because of awd selenoid. But when I check under the car nothing go wrong. Suspension axle everything look alright. Do you have any idea of why car vibrates?
Can this for 2010 Subaru Forester auto transmission? Thanks
Great video mate, is the 5eat the same procedure ?? And how do you diagnosis which solenoid is bad ?? Thanks very much guys. Greetings from Australia.
Hi I need your help? My forester starts but when I put it into drive it just revs
did you ever fix it?
Can it be replaced with the transmission in the car?
Yes.
I purchased this Part and installed in 2007 forester, unfortunately for me it did nothing.
Did you have torque bind?
How do I tell what one is defective?
"At oil temp" cluster light will spit out the Subaru handshake code telling you which solenoid is bad.
An absolute life saver ..Thank you for a great video clip..
Hi, I'm turkey from Istanbul you do have a question I will my 1600mot automatic transmission have a tool that has the problem mutsubi the 1600mot is in your hand a 1998 model mutsubi automatic transmission repair video Does my vehicle automatic transmission, but the vehicle in place does not get the help I'm glad if you can
What year
I have a 2009 outback that does the slipping and hard shifting. Do I need to rebuild it or go to wreckers? I knew something was wrong but when I bought the car it only shifted hard occasionally. Dealership scammed me I asked about it but they told me it’s nothing. Sad.
Its cooked. Get a replacement used transmission installed would be my opinion
wallnutz that’s what I’ve been told. Too bad
Interesting. That replacement solenoid looks SO much different than the OEM one it replaces.
Huh. I thought this solenoid was in the Transfer case.
This solenoid is in the tailshaft housing, not in the valve body. This video is a crock.
@@ziggo0 Thanks. I stand corrected.
But this replaced solenoid works like the oem? Look like they block the oil presure from the solenoide. And the solenoid at the canister control the mtp clucht? Transfert case clucht? The Awd we still works fine at the real. Wheels?
@@mikefrech1123 series II subaru has the transfer case solenoid in the valve body.do your homework before you open your mouth..
Is that the most common solenoid to go out on the 4 eat? I get slipping at random times under 20 miles per hour letting off the throttle back on the throttle it will slip for a second then catch also hard shifting out of first into second gear at random times.
did you ever fix that?
Hello, a friend of mine, got a P0965 code, on Subaru Outback 2010, CVT A/T. This code is about "B" solenoid. How can i know where is this solenoid.?? did you have a schem ? Thanks !!!
Just in case someone reads this question referencing a solenoid B on a 2010 CVT transmission...this video in in reference to the Subaru 4EAT transmission, which us a 4 speed automatic transmission used on Subaru's from 1999-2009.
This job scares me.
I just did it today, hardest part is un doing the connectors on the solenoids. My suggestion if you have this kit is just break the old ones off and save yourself hours of picking at a plastic clip.
its easy..
My legacy 2.5 1998 looks like locking rear wheel during tight corners. May it be the transfer clutch solenoid or central differential?
if its the solenoid you'll get the "16 flashes of death". AT OIL TEMP light will flash 16 times on startup
@@SubieSage A better way to diagnose the solenoid is applying front wheel fuse. If fwd wont light up on painel, that's the solenoid for sure
@@lucasbelo7107 that too. my impreza has torque bind, not looking forward to fixing this shit
@@XJFOX well... You should consider center diff. But it's simple to diagnose transfer clutch solenoid on transmission wiring ecu connector, so check it either
@@XJFOX consider transfer clutch valve body as well
Can i orderet it on Ebay?
