The Maxxforce engine was a struggle, for sure. Thankfully, we're way past that now, under completely different ownership and leadership. This 2024 LT 625 we're showcasing does NOT have a Maxxforce engine. You should stop by and give it a test drive!

Very nice truck! Heard about the troublesome engine they used to have but that they now have a better one. Glad it at least isn't electric because me being a gearhead doesn't like electric vehicles much haha. Still, very nice truck!
Yes, they finally got rid of the MaxxForce which was replaced with much more reliable units from Europe (A26 is MAN D26, S13 = Scania Super) or Cummins (X15).

@@AscendanceTrucksTRIYou’re right the 9000 series was 4 times the truck than anything they’ve made since 2008. They were lighter, more reliable, more durable in every way. I’m currently driving a 14 Prostar the wind caught my door the other day it now needs it’s third set of door hinges because it sprung them. It’s only got 900,000 miles on it. My 2000 9200i had 1.5 million on it never replaced the hinges at all. The electronics on this Prostar are useless yet they’ve added more to them? Can you get a LT without controls on the steering wheel, no electronics traction, stability, collision mitigation, automatic brake control. The only thing mandated by law is ABS that’s all I need. And them stupid leaking windows in the sleeper don’t need them either. International sure has fallen a long ways your quality stinks your engineering stinks also. I’m a tech for international we see maxforce engines with 500 000 to 800 000 every week original engine The A26 is a updated version built by MAN the s13 is built by Scania now we are training for electric trucks
I wish there was an option with the bottom bunk replaced by two seats and a table (that still can be converted to a bed like in the Volvo VNL) and wider top bunk as the main bed but with the ability to lift to make some room during the day. That would be the best configuration for a single driver.
The International/Eagle badge & brand, took a serious nose dive after they started to put that Maxforce & Paccar engines in these trucks.... Add super-singles and automatics, and the whole truck is pure garbage.... Why the industry is killing the manual trucks, is beyond me. And don't even get me started on that D.E.F. crap....
The MaxxForce was a misstep, but the A26 engine in this truck is a proven workhorse. The upcoming S13 Powertrain is really special! Manual transmissions are still available as well.
Yep. D.E.F....I'll take the EGR any day. At 250,000 miles look to have it flushed (if it's not cracked up) or replaced. At 2022 prices that was 3500 bucks and ONLY a certified clean air tech is allowed to do the job. Do it yourself and it will not sale across state lines. you will own the truck for life. D.E.F. ...the denatured fake kitty-cat urine developed on paper to spray an exhaust, until it regens. It does not reatomize back into oxygen like standard 02 emission. The one thing DEF/ammonia and even vinegar can not do...volumize oxygen. 02 emission never took the oxygen "out" of the air. Oxygen is always there. DEF can not be regenerated in nature's 02 rebuild for oxygen. At least it is a stick. As an industry standard orientations don't replace stick drivers so often...unless they go to auto's. Then it becomes every 5 minutes. And of course it makes it impossible to enforce "both hands on the wheel" and take away gimmick bonuses with these new company policies if they are still running sticks. D.O.T. has to be laughing their hind-parts off at what it has all become. Enjoy the spinach salad and chicken alfredo w/extra cream sauce era I'll stick to my boots.
