People simply don't understand the significance of this record. This is the most rushing in a game in NCAA *HISTORY*. Kansas is a perenially bad team yes, but what running back has even sniffed that kind of yardage against them, ever? I will give Melvin Gordon credit, as he faced a better defense, but for Christ sakes, this is one of the most impressives records a player could own, regardless of who he faced 💯💯💯

I mean ya it's Kansas, but not even Bob is stupid enough to keep the starters out a full game like that.

End of discussion. Perine was great, but Gordon was 3.7 yards per carry better, against a top 10 ranked opponent, and only played 3 quarters.

Nebraska finished the season unranked, having played 3 ranked top 25 teams all year including bowl games. They weren't a juggernaut, good attempt to pump up your guys performance. Accept it, Perine got the record legit.
