Didn't know if this would work but hey, "the pouf is in the resin".
The pouf of the resin is in the turnin'.
This is gold.
I would like your comment but it's at 69 likes right now and I can't ruin that.
well now I'm wondering what happens if you try to cast pudding in resin! Probably should go ask Ben's Worx, maybe he'll do it.
@@sioframay he will cook pudding with resin lol
"Woodturners call it cheating"
Peter, let's face it. You typically don't turn wood. You turn weird. You're a weirdturner.
I have never seen a better way to describe Peter Brown. I have tried to explain this channel to my family, but just saying 'He does neat things with resin' doesn't really cut it.
PERFECTION 🤣🤣🤣
So would that also make Peter a Weirdworker?
He should really just print this out and put it up in his shop because it so perfectly encapsulates his channel 😆
Ohmygod! You have no idea how much I love this comment!!
February Shopping List: (1) Micro Mesh (2) A bigger pressure pot.
Now do the same with red, orange and yellow poufs for a fiery-looking bowl, I love the look of this!
Ooh, yes! I second this!
There are tons of color combos that I want to see for the poofs bowl!!! It is the perfect material for wet areas that bare feet walk (bathrooms, poolside, sauna). It would also make a stunning light cover.
@@FireheartIndustries of course you would fireheart 😂
@@RoxyLegs Yes, that would make a very cool light cover. Just think of the patterns the light shining through it would make on the walls.
Make one for bulbasaur, too!
"I'd scrub my body with this bowl" really got me🤣🤣
this bowl is absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad you IGNORED US and did a January resin project 😂
peter wondered when the time was right, and the resin defiantly whispered " ʲ ᵃ ᶰ ᵘ ᵃ ʳ ʸ "
Agreed
It's really fitting to use poufs with that resin, it looks _exactly_ like generic "ocean-scented" shampoo
I would love to see you cast the pouf in it's "original" pouf form. Kind of like the cast bubble wrap that can't be popped. The "forbidden pouf!"
This should be titled "Can't Scrub This". Not to be confused with the 90s hit "Can't Touch This"
@@meikiengsiri9373 technically it's called "U can't touch this" but the sentiment carries
I think the wood color actually looked really nice with the Poof's colors. You should try to do this again eventually with like wooden slabs in-between
Love it! Almost looks like jelly fish when it was under black light! Would do a whole set with different coloured pouffs.
Perfect name for the bowl “ocean of plastic” love the bowl!
It looks so pretty!!! A gold one at the bottom would really sell the beach feel, but I love the different blues.
Or a wood bottom
It's so simple but it's also my new favorite project of yours. I'd love to see a matching lava bowl for it with some combo or orange, red, yellow and black. Though I'm sure you're not rushing to do essentially the same project twice. Can't stress enough how much I loved the result, thanks again for sharing it with us.
Dang, I don’t know if I just haven’t been appreciating how far your editing has come, but the angles and all that in this video were *chefs kiss* Another super cool project! Awesome inspiration for future projects of mine
Next project idea, a 'resin' resin bowl. Tint a few small bowls with cool colors like in this video. Then use that Forstner to make wide shavings like this did. Put those colored shavings in a bowl and use clear resin to ultimately make some sort of lighted up globe.
People have done this a few times and it usually doesn't end up that interesting sadly.
@@bhutwheyttherismor86 Resin in resin... Just "floating" colors in a big transparent thing almost without any interestingness.
I think it would make a cool for a little pendent. Using the shaving form a couple of projects.
@@masonspencer6841 If I remember correctly the resin blends in so it just looks like you have lines of colours, it loses the look of different things floating together.
Would be cool if he did it with a will it dye so it can have the cool textures of the different dyes
Have you thought of using whole nutmeg in a project? They have a really cool look inside.
Townsends has entered the chat.
Oh gods, this'll be pepper all over again..
Nutmeg is awfully brittle... and while it has the outer layer intact it might not do too well with a stabilizing resin... I'd say that's a recipe for an extremely fragrant mess with not much to show for at the end :(
Very nice ocean pouf bowl! “I’d scrub my body with that” almost sent coffee out my nose😆. love your videos!
Your projects are always awesome. Can you do a resin rice bowl??
resin ramen bowl
@@kyrstiehart2785 Peter did a ramen resin project already.
Fellow Californian here. It snowed less than a quarter of an inch once where I live in 1996 and I've been riding that high for the past 26 years. Also, when you first gathered up the poufs, I was thinking it might look cool if you actually sort of braided or in some other way intertwined them together pre-resin pour.
At first..like a billion resin projects ago I thought you were a big goob. At last you are still the greatest goober and one of my favorite youtube ding dangers of all time. Thank you profusely for sharing your movies with us. Much love from the midwest.
This bowl would have also been an amazing lamp shade.
Would putting the resin shavings back into resin make them disappear, or would it leave some sort of texture in the resin? Your very own California snow globe :D
PLEASE do another one with pink/orange/yellow poufs to make it look like a matching coral bowl!!
I appreciate that there's a few trapped bubbles in there, it really helps with the oceanic feeling
My wife usually doesn’t care about RUclips videos, but she loved this project, your video, and all your color choices.
Hope to see some crazy table top made of all these resin shavings someday.
Wow that is one of the fastest I've ever seen a bot message appear, I thought they normally go after inactive comments
Resin shavings do not show up in resin, unless they’re completely colored.
very cool. I had considered these for knife handles but never pulled the trigger, I think I will now!
Resin + January = No disasters? And a cool black light bowl to boot? I'm gobsmacked. Do it again!
I would love one of these. The poufs floating in the resin really remind me of jellyfish, with as you said the wispy part of it. I'd like this with some fake jelly fish floating through.
I'd still love to see fruity pebbles turned into a cereal bowl. I loved the other cereal cereal bowl, but I feel like the fruity pebbles would be cooler with the multiple tightly compact colors.
Under the blacklight is where this project truly shines.
This statement works on every level in reference to this gorgeous piece.
This would make an awesome blacklight lampshade.
It turned out really well it's amazing you can take just about anything and make a work of art. But I was wondering if you ever thought about using cheese balls to make a resin bowl
I was 100% sure it wouldn't look cool at all. It's so awesome to be wrong, because this bowl's fabulous!
Congratulations on the project and on the video too, it was super fun to watch :)
Would you feel like making a carousel with resin? Maybe a wood base to hide an led light. Nothing fancy just something that goes around like a lazy susan. I don't know if Mrs. Brown likes that type of thing but I think it would be really pretty with the transparent colors!
Wool rovings are basically these things of straightened wool you can get in different colors. They could be something that would look really cool in resin
I love mrs. Brown’s laugh, it’s infectious.
My 2 year old and I watch your videos every night when he’s going to bed. He likes watching you turning on the lathe and always says you’re making grass when he sees the shavings.
I love how the title isn’t even “can we”, it’s “should we”. I think you’ve shown that, indeed, we should make something from bath poufs!
this is one of my favorite projects youve ever done, its absolutely stunning looking. it has gorgeous deep sea vibes
Ohhhhh we need a pouf bowl 2.0 with fiery colors pleeeeaassseee!!!! These two side by side would be so cool
Mr. Brown always hams it up for Mrs. Brown and it’s very sweet to see 😎😎
My wife named her green loofah "Loofah Rigno", then she named a purple one "Loofah Vandross". My 5 year old calls his a "Scrubby Dubby".
Peter. I had an idea that might be a bit of fun. Mrs Brown goes shopping and buys something that you need to turn into something else, just set everything up and she can reveal it on camera, no sneaking a look!
😀👍
Love that bowl! Who woulda thought to do something like this?! Peter Brown that's who! The man that looks at the world through resin eyes!
I'd love to see you do something with clay one day, I'm sure you could design some really cool things with clay and resin. Imagining things like intricate bowl designs or just seeing how clay and resin play together (I don't see any reason why they wouldn't play nice though). Could be a neat idea, could be my bias as somebody who spends far too much time clay working sndfjkdsn
That bowl came out looking fantastic, way better than I originally thought it would
Ok that's cooler then I thought it would be. I even like the little bubbles in the resin because it adds to that "ocean" theme.
the time laps of the cleanup was pretty cool, you should include that in future projects too. love the bowl too
can't believe this is the first time i've seen this idea, it seems obvious in retrospect that it would look great
Love that one. It's definitely a bathroom bowl.
This is one of my favorite bowls you've done; I really like the way that it turned out and that you kept the thickness so that you can see the depth of the pouf texture, and that color combination is just great.
RE: Micro-Mesh sanding system. Their grit system is proprietary and when looking at the actual size of the grit in microns, their 1,500 grit is the same grit size as a standard US 360 grit sandpaper - 29 microns. Sanding to 800 grit then starting at the 1,500 grit micro-mesh is actually going backwards.
1,500 grit = 320 grit sandpaper = 29 microns
1,800 grit = 700 grit sandpaper = 14 microns
2,400 grit = 800 grit sandpaper = 12.3 microns
3,200 grit = somewhere between 1,200 and 1,500 grit sandpaper = 8.4 microns
3,600 grit = 1,500 grit sandpaper = 8 microns
4,000 grit = just above 2,000 grit sandpaper = 5 microns
6,000 grit = just a bit higher = 4 microns
8,000 grit = 4,000 grit sandpaper = 3 microns
12,000 grit = 8,000 grit sandpaper = 1 micron
Yay for New Year success! It looks great!
Looks great. Love your fun crazy resin ideas.
Super cool project! Love how it turned out!
That looks amazing, great job!
Looks great, Peter! Great job!
Gorgeous! I'm glad you did a resin project in January.
Love how this turned out
The colors are fantastic, nice work!
That turned out really neat!! It's bluetiful!! 💙
YAYRIFICAL for another video from you! You don't put them out that often and they are ALWAYS a joy to see come up on my feed!
That's come out so beautifully! More pouf related stuff!!!!
That bowl looks so beautiful!
Mrs. Brown is a genius. Perfect bath bomb bowl
Oh man I hope you do more with these poufs lol that's amazing!
I love the colours you chose!
That came out really awesome! Wouldn't have thought that it would look this cool in the end
That is incredible. Great job Peter
i absolutely love this project, the colors are lovely!
That's AWESOME! One of your best projects.
this is an amazing start for 2022! cant wait for future projects!
I think it would've been neat to braid the pouf strands and then coil it into the bowl. Still looked awesome.
Can't wait for the next video!
Absolutely stunning bowl!!!
SO PRETTY!!!
One of my favorite of your projects
That looks absolutely fantastic, one of your best resin projects
YAAAAASSSSSSSS!! so happy for another Peter Brown video!!
Grateful as always ! This was really cool!
love this. Your work always brings a smile to my face. Thanks, bro.
Very cool project! Glad to see a resin project turn out well in January lol
Peter you nailed it again. This came out beautifully.
That turned out amazing looking, thank you
THE BLUE LOOKS SO PRETTY!!!
Great project to start out the year!
Absolutely gorgeous aqua
I wonder what those shavings would look like in resin. Pretty cool I think. Awesome project.
This turned out AMAZING!! Love it!!!
That bowl is amazing! I absolutely love it and want it!!!!
That is gorgeous! Looks like waves so you nailed the sea look.
I live in central California and we had a snow day once when I was in middle school. It snowed all day it was amazing to be able to play in it and then go inside and get warm instead of driving home like you have to when you go up to the mountains for snow.
Started watching this video while having a bath, now thinking about nicking the poufs in here and putting them in resin!
This looks _beautiful_
Very cool project. Looks great!
Never thought I'd heard Peter say "I'd scrub my body with this bowl"
This one looks super cool!
I love your eagerness to experiment.
I'm such a child, the whole video I had so many Monty Python-esque jokes running through my head but while I don't think any of them were mean they are derogatory so in my head they live. This turned out really interesting though, much better than I could have thought. I hope Mrs B uses it.
Wow that's beautiful!
Looks really awesome and pretty
