- I've been wanting to do some boxes for a while now. It's been a long time since I made any and frankly it was just fun to make a few. The cherry flooring I used for this was a surprisingly beautiful grain.
The lids allowed me to take some artistic license and play with some idea on a smaller scale. I love how different they all are. They're unique interesting and would recommend folks experiment. Having such a small canvas allows you to branch out ideas without much cost.

@@cgamejewels If its too worn to see, or so flimsy it is about to hold together then the feds shreds it. Also if it's an older style note they take them out of circulation to replace with fresh notes.

I'm very confused by the expanding Peter Brown multiverse but I'm all for it.
There's really only ever been the two Peters: Woodworking Peter and Weird Material Peter. Woodworking Peter just wants to be left alone in his shop to make bowls and rings and boxes in peace, but Weird Material Peter keeps using the tools for weird shit.

I always loved making boxes. I would make them for girls I liked. I would cut their initials out on the scroll saw, and glue them on the lid as the handel.
If you are married, did you make one of those boxes for your wife before marrying her?
I did a similar thing but I spelled there name out and didn’t put a last initial. So farm I’m up to 3 boxes. I have 4 more made.

The cloud box needs to be used for thumb drives, so that your keeping your data in the cloud.
Here's a challenge make a square box that's an infact a 10 sided polygon inside lol or something along those lines

The excitement starts with your conjuring of an idea for the experiment. The satisfaction grows as you change an element and execute it again and again. If that's not enough, you joyfully learn something in the end. Did I mention that experimentation is a super humor catalyst!
I remember in your first video using cotton balls, that mixing them with clear resin causes the finished product to gain a color and design somewhat similar to stone or marble when polished, right?
The fact that it can be forced into molds brings up an interesting option, what about using cotton ball resin to make things out of "stone" that you wouldn't normally see? Especially something that might be too difficult to make out of actual stone due to cost/intricacy/weight/etc. A stone chair/stool, or stone knife handles or something.
You've got an incredible amount of freedom using molds and sanding compared to trying to shape real stone with a chisel.
That sounds really cool, but making a stool mould and then filling it with a couple gallons of resin and cotton sounds awful haha

That would be so cool, but I don't think it would work. Cherries are full of juice and the resin wouldn't penetrate properly, so even if the resin set the cherries would catch on the woodworking tools. Like the gummy bears....

To be fair, the cat is self-medicating with a digestive purgative. I'm told grass does a marvelous job of clearing out stray hairballs and the like.
And yes, I am serious. Cats eat grass to make their tummy feel better.
@@nataliebell6760 dogs do it too. My cousins dog was sick and she ate grass so we knew something was wrong and the poor thing hid after vomiting as if she would be in trouble for feeling sick. I'm glad that cats and dogs are able to help themselves feel better.

They need to dry out before you throw them away. The fumes can be flammable, hence the concrete.

Some finishes heat up as they cure, which makes it a bad idea to wad them up (reduces surface area) and throw them in the bin (which probably contains flammable materials).
It’s strange as it sounds they have been know to burst into flames wadded up. I haven’t seen it but I don’t want to risk it.
I fell asleep watching this last night like some old lady, lol. So I had to come back and see how the projects turned out. They look great!

I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to start wood working again so thank you. And yes our three cats have done just what you said and puked after grass luckily we have wooden floors so easy to clean.
