I have never seen anyone work the audience like Al Murray. It can’t be rigged up; too complicated. His entire routine revolves around his interaction with the people who come to watch him. Unique. Genius. Absolute genius.

I've seen most of those sections in other reactions. But that is the first time I've seen the whole show. I thank you for that.
The beautiful thing is, you understood the intelligence & humour through the whole thing. Love you both.

Scouser someone from Liverpool, Geordie someone from Newcastle. I saw Al's show back in 2002 and he ended the act with a quiz, called Fact Hunt. He had the whole audience shouting 'Fact Hunt' repeatedly, until it clearly sounded like we were saying something else. Al found it amusing, the fact hunt.

Thanks so much to you two for introducing me to Al Murray. Known of him for many years, but somehow didn't think that "The Pub Landlord" was something I'd find amusing. How wrong could I be, I just LOVE this guy. So much so that I've just bought a ticket to see his 2024 show "Guv Island" in Birmingham next April (at the back of the auditorium though!). "Guv Island" presumably inspired by the show "Love Island" which you may or may not have in Canada - if not, Google it! Hopefully Guv Island will make its way on to RUclips one day, and you can react to it!

Paddington Bear: a key part of my childhood! When Al Murray gave this performance two decades ago, my generation were still pretty young. So the Paddington gag was really fresh.
Why? Well, imagine you're a little British kid in the late 1970s captivated by Paddington Bear's adventures. It becomes a defining bit of your childhood landscape. Forever!
Al Murray's a bit of a comedic - and cultural - genius for detecting that.

Al Murray is quite funny but misinformed about the North of Britain, people from Liverpool called Scousers will never say that we are British or English because we are NOT. People from Newcastle called Gordie's will never say that they are British or English because they are NOT. Equally people from Birmingham called Brummies will never say they are British or English because they are NOT. We view ourselves as Britain's Viking and Saxon and also Scousers being of Welsh and Irish decent thus resulting in our Accent be distinctive.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇮🇪

If you have to explain a well, you're already lost. Out humour polks us as the target for our stupidly our our past, thinking that anyone who was a lord or had a degree from a university was also intelligent, yet all our industrial inventions were made by working class people who understood how mechanical things worked! ie television, combustion engine, jet engines.
