I learnt all of my no staff spins and kicks from your videos kick starting my martial arts journey 4 years ago and have kept practiced ever since then. It’s just too bad they don’t teach Kung fu in my country so I learn off the internet and books .Im teaching myself wing chun, choy lay fut and a bit of jkd . I hope someday I get to go Hong Kong or The Famous Buddhist Monastery to learn Authentic Kung Fu styles.
Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace you say including kung fu as if to call it a style in and of its self but kung fu is really a blanket term used for many different styles with various origins. I know its easy to speak in lay-man terms but I do feel it can mislead people maybe you could do some videos introducing different styles and give brief explanations on what they are and the different backgrounds
it is ok to practice styles you are technically stealing. But do not try to teach choy lee fut without having a proper teacher and lineage. you might and will get put on the spot for being a fraud like jake. we are always watching for CLF frauds. don't be on that list

Shifu Jake though people have said nonsense about u in the past I do want to say that you have been a wonderful teacher . Your presence on camera is friendly your methods are gentle and your technique is spot on and it's nice watching u do the forms because of how cordnated each move is
I thank you for you're videos man. In my youth I did a good bit of down hill skiing, took a big fall once and the result was a compression fracture in T9 and T10 the thoracic area of the spine. I took up the bow staff and every morning it's part of my routine (always trying to improve). What's interesting is the bow staff and the routines I perform have pretty much cleared up the pain in my lower back. I think it's because the bow staff has force me to use a more correct posture and also strengthen the muscles in the lower back. The power of the Bo Staff, I'm a believer.
