Some years ago, my wife and I, and teenage daughter, left Indiana and made the grand tour of Glacier, Yellowstone, and the Tetons. When the latter first came into our view, my wife and I were awestruck! When I looked into the backseat to see what our daughter's reaction was, I was dismayed to see she had her nose buried in a handheld video game!! I always wondered what became of that video game...after I grabbed it and sent it sailing out the window!!

Just gorgeous! I was just recently there at Grand Tetons with my daughter and saw Moose and on a hike on Death Canyon I ran into a black bear (yikes!!)…that was scary but she was just interested in getting to her cubs which were up on a tree so she just ignored me and I walked away as slowly as possible. I did not have bear spray on that hike but immediately after that I bought some! Then on the hike back from Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point I was lucky enough to see another mama bear with two adorable cubs. They were at a safe distance so was able to videotape that one. I can’t wait to be back out West.

I used to hunt in Wyoming and I must say it's hands down the most beautiful place I've ever experienced. I've seen more wildlife there than any other place I've been. To camp in Bridger Teton and hear elk bugling and Coyotes howling all night long and seeing moose is absolutely an amazing experience! Thank you Catherine for sharing this wonderful and beautiful video!

So beautiful. I was incredibly fortunate this year and got to spend 2 months in the Tetons. There is no place like it. Every day was a discovery of new wonders and unmatched beauty. When I left I thought: "How can I ever keep these beautiful places with me so that I never forget?" With this video I can always look back and bask again in the magnificence of these mountains. Thank you, Catherine! All your videos are wonderful, but this one especially spoke to my heart!

There is no other mountain landscape as stunning as the grand Tetons. I grew up in WA and IR near the cascades which are so insanely beautiful. I now live near the Sierra’s, also stunning. But there is something about the Tetons as viewed from their eastern flank that takes your breath away. And all the wild animals there is incredible. The pronghorn always make me laugh as I watch their antics. They live to run. They are so nimble. Their coloring is beautiful. Thanks for posting this

Ah, the Tetons! They're still my favorite, and you did so well photographing them! I loved seeing Schwabacher Landing and Jenny Lake again (the lake is much bigger since they rebuilt the dam). The Wind River Canyon would make a great road trip (leading to Thermopolis, where I lived). The Big Horn Mountains and Ten Sleep Canyon would be wonderful, too. The High Park Lookout tower near Meadowlark Lake would be a nice hike- the view is fantastic!

Spent some of the best years of my life working three consecutive summers in 1980 at the gift shops at Jackson Lake Lodge and Colter Bay Village, Grand Teton National Park. Great time and great people. Worked hard, played hard. I suggest to every 18 year old I meet, that they should consider working in a National Park before they go on to either college or life. And, I suggest to every older person, given the opportunity, to also work in a Park. I met people from around the world working and visiting there. Viewed amazing vistas and saw animals that you only see in books. Went to Yellowstone, Billings, Cooke City, Montana, traveled the Beartooth Highway and around to Idaho Falls for diversions from the park. And, of course, we were regulars at all the bars and restaurants in Jackson and Teton Village. Some of which are still in operation. Float trips, canoe trips, morning breakfast boat rides out to the islands on Jackson Lake for trout. Horse rides to the Moose Meadows, in back of the lodge for evening steaks around the campfire watching the sun go down behind the Tetons. Days spent at Signal Mountain Lodge, feasting on their beef stew and Signal Mountain Nudge drinks. Awwww. My only regrets... not hiking and exploring enough, and maybe, just maybe, playing too much. Lol! Fun times! The best of times!

Catherine, thank you for being an inspiration! My family thought it was questionable that I wanted go driving, camping and hiking alone through several states this summer but I did it! Hiking in grizzly country in the Tetons was on my list and it was amazing! It was busy on trail so, I wasn’t alone except briefly once or twice. It felt so good doing what gave me joy while facing my fears in that truly wild and beautiful place. God’s glory shown all around me and I want to go back. Keep trekking! Your filming and photography is spectacular and so soothing.

Catherine, one of the most gorgeous moments on this planet happens in the Columbia Gorge on clear evenings with smoke from forest fires. The area does not even look real. You might capture some of that type of magic on the west side of the Tetons around Driggs if you are heading that way. I metion the west side since the subjects get that incredible smokey red glow where you are currently getting shadows. Enjoy!

Loved the waterfalls. Hiking with friends in grizzly country is a good idea, make enough noise helps keep them away. Your ending shot was amazing! Sometimes pictures don't do justice to actually seeing those mountains in person. It's like looking over a vast meadow and someone just took some mountains and set them down on top of it, blocking your travels but creating an awesome view. Looking forward to more of your Wyoming videos.

Beautiful video Catherine. Bummer you couldn't see Mt Moran through the smoke while you were there at Oxbow Bend (4:00 timeline). Your video brought back some fond memories for me. I spent a month out there in 2016. Stayed at a KOA in West Yellowstone, MT and visited Yellowstone NP for 2 weeks then moved down to the Snake River KOA just south of Jackson, WY and spent two weeks at Grand Teton NP. Wonderful time. Although I enjoyed both parks, I think Grand Teton is by far more photogenetic than Yellowstone.
