At 4:19 there is a small dwelling in the cliff. 50 years ago, several of my classmates from NMSU and I went backpacking to the Gila Wilderness. It was February and COLD. First night we slept in that dwelling trying to stay warm. It was in much better shape back then. My friends almost froze that night. I, however, had a goose down sleeping bag and was toasty warm. One of my best memories from college.

Ron and I had moved up on a ledge and made camp... at 2 am the water was almost at our camp. We had to move higher. The bridge in Cliff was under water and the town was flooded. Always an adventure.

Wonderful video, Katherine. Seeing you all examine the wolf prints in the snow was so moving. That scene pressed up against my reading of Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold. “‘We reached the old wolf in time to watch a fierce green fire dying in her eyes,’ he wrote later. ‘I realized then, and have known ever since, that there was something new to me in those eyes - something known only to her and to the mountain’.” Thank goodness the Gila Wilderness is protected and that wolfs are being reintroduced. Thanks to you, Joey and Kyle for heralding this treasure to all people.

You would need a really open mind and heart to be able to receive this stuff without allowing the ego to shut off all possibilities because the ideas are way outside of our comfort zones and very much contradicts the current accepted narrative we all grew up with. It's all very fascinating if you can handle it! @@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism
