i was up at tioga pass last week for a few days it was 24 Degrees at night crazy how warm it was for you 2 i know you were at a lower Elevation but that is so warm for this time of the year.
Oh, Catherine, we will be watching this one over and over. We are almost speechless about how wonderful and gorgeous this video is. No one does this better than you. Thank you so much for taking us on your adventures. Hugs from us in Alberta.
Lol, Catherine is like... "we hiked barefeet uphill in the snow both ways" Joey is like ohh it was an easy day, barely broke sweat and everything. Catherine is like but we got eaten up by mosquitoes as Joey walks by in shorts and a t-shirt. The man is as adventurous as a hobbit mixed with mike myer's wayne's world character. And OMG did you see this most epic scenery at 20:04 it was as if someone painted landscape on the actual rock wall... and then you realize it is real real. what a beautiful place to go hiking.
Absolute art. Pity you can't monetize this. You've made me realize that despite all my years of exploring Yosemite and the Eastern Sierra Nevada since 1991, there's still so much I've yet to feast my bionic baby blues on. May Almighty God continue to Bless, Guard, Guide, and Protect you in your adventures. 73

I spend five months from early January to the end of May 1980 winter mountaineering Yosemite when i was 24. Backpacked, snowshoed, crosscountry skiing, climbing, even living in igloos, all over the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding the park. One of the best adventures of my wilderness lifestyle life.
Oh lordy, you just did what my hubby and I fondly refer to as "The Hell Hike"... Only we came from the opposite direction, from Tuolumne Meadows to White Wolf, in three days, hiking up that 4500-foot climb on the last day, literally begging a ranger we saw in a truck to drive us that last mile. That he didn't dump me after that is a miracle.
Catherine the video was so well worth waiting for. The magnificent peaks, views and canyon walls were beautiful. My favorite part was the scenic waterfalls and throughout the video I could hear the sounds of rushing water...AWESOME!
All I can say is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Epic views. I have never seen such gorgeous views . Thanks for taking this old man along. You and Joey make a great team. Your friend in Pennsylvania. Bob
Hard to describe this video without sounding like a broken record. As I've said many times before... epic, gorgeous, beautiful, etc. I've also said it before, but this might be the best video you've ever produced Cat! You just keep raising the bar! I sometimes wonder what runs through someone's mind as they hike for miles and miles on a trip like this with nothing but the wind in their ears. Do they think about the meaning of life? I imagine some pretty deep thoughts as one hikes through this gorgeous landscape.
The English language is devoid of words to describe the expanse, the diversity of landscapes, and the beauty of the American West. You captured it well in this presentation Catherine. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Thanks to you and Joey for sharing this journey.
WOW!!!! This was one of the most beautiful videos i have seen, of hiking in Yosemite. You and joey were on top of the clouds. The waterfall, walking on the granite surface. It was Spectacular, it was breathtakingly beautiful. You can see how Great God's creation is, at its best. Love watching you and Joey take on this journey together. I will watch this one again. God bless you both and be safe ad you continue to travel. ❤
To be able to pocket these heavenly views...to keep precious an experience that's certainly unbelievabley spiritual. Thank you Catherine What a great REVEAL 🏹 of what awaits a soul seeking adventure.
Thank you for going to Yosemite, this is the park of my youth growing up in Northern California my family and I always went here every summer. The memories I have of Yosemite I cherish so much. I haven't been there in at least 20 years. I miss it so much. Your video has motivated me to get back to Yosemite sooner. Catherine you are awesome
Yours is the only show that I click like before I watch it and put it on full screen at the start. I always know that it will be very good. I liked the night time lapse also. I am glad that you showed the country because I will never get there but I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you
thank you catherine. you captured absolutely breathtaking, beautiful, epic and gorgeous views up in yosemite's grand canyon of the tuolumne. continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊
Extraordinary video. I have done the upper part from Water Wheel Falls back out to the highway. Your viewers may be interested in knowing that 80° at high altitude is much hotter than at lower altitude because less atmosphere leaves more incoming ultra violet light. Yup, it's significantly more warming..... Thank you again. This is one of your best videos.....
Another beautiful hike! I always go full screen when watching your videos. The color saturation is mesmerizing. Nature is always very interesting. Thanks for letting us tag along. 😎
... Can never put enough "WOWS !!" on the page ... So breathtaking ... Thank You Catherine and Joey for sharing this spectacular trek .... Stay Safe ....
Sometimes, no words are needed, Ay :-) Just lovely! Thank you for all of your hard work in filming this! And the calming music that you add to the scenery. There is so much to see! You may have to go back again next year. Hihi. What a precious friendship you and Joey have. You work so well together. Take care :-)
Thank you Cat & Joey for the Yosemite trip to an epic wonderland. 😊 Crystal clear waterfalls, beautiful greenery all around to highlight the many boulders & mountains. ⛰️ I am not a hiker but with views like these I would be glad to spend time in the canyon & high country. Thanks for a great episode. 🙋🏼♀️👍🏻❤️
Having lived near Yosemite for many years and having seen much of it, I really appreciated your video because these are parts I've never seen. I love that you take time to show the beautiful views, the waterfalls, the fall colors. Sometimes I pause the video, just to gaze on the beautiful scenery. Well done.
I've patiently waited for this adventure and am watching it now. Only on day 2 and the scenery has been absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to the rest of the vid. I always forget to say this so I'm saying it while still watching. In addition to the stunning views you take us to, I want to compliment you on the safe way you hike - with your sticks and taking your time. I see far too many people trying to show their prowess on trails that come out hurt. So in addition to the beauty you are teaching safe practices for managing the different trails you hike. As always, Cat, thank you for taking us along. Safe travels and adventures.
Amen! It's the rare trip I've made out west without my having to make a radio call for getting assistance for someone who's run into trouble in the backcountry. What always scares me is... What if I had changed my mind that morning and done something else that day?
ABSOLUTELY❤GORGEOUS!!!! I have never seen the Yosemite above the tree line! Epic trip ! Thank you so much for making us a part of it. As always you are so talented to mix the right portion of everything to make your video so exciting to the very last moment. Like a double❤Pro! ❤❤❤
So incredibly beautiful! I remember your epic trip into the Grand Canyon! Your inner mountain mama certainly continues to shine! Thank you for sharing this adventure! - lori lee
Last time I was in White Wolf trail area It got cold so quick and I went to sleep with frozen hair after a quick rinse prior to dinner and then woke up to about 4" of snow. It was certainly a night requiring warmed rocks and water bottles in our bags. Sounds like a miserable time but it was the best hike ever in my life. That area is amazing!!!
Hi from the UK! Wow Cat, what a breathtaking video! I had to keep going over scenes again because I couldn't get over the sheer beauty of the Grand Canyon. Absolutely incredible, thank you so much for your wonderful photography, which allows folk like me who will never see this beauty, to see it all through your eyes.
Oh wow! Love your opening with that magnificent view of Yosemite high and back country. I have spent many visits to Yosemite, camping and enjoying most of the “easy “ trails. But these camera and video shots are so amazing. What beautiful fall colors! A Big thanks to you and Joey 😻
As I sit here in our trailer, in the Prescott National Forest dispersed camping area, I can also view your videography of your Yosemite backpack experience. I love these mountains. Their beauty & majesty has so much to offer! I've never been to Yosemite, so thank you for sharing by both you & Joey. Take Care
This week's adventure has become one of my favorite Catherine Gregory's Adventures! Everywhere you look is so photogenic! The images of you and Joey hiking through a boulder-strewn trail with tall Ponderosa and Jeffrey Pines, the rock-strewn rivers and waterfalls, wildflowers, and Tuolumne canyon vistas were absolutely breathtaking! It was especially beautiful because I just had cataract surgery yesterday and can see with more clarity, color, and brightness now. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful adventure.
What an amazing place, thank you. I started my hiking season today in Florida, low 70s, and plenty of sunshine! A little wet and muddy but now we are in the dry season and things will soon be a lot drier.
Joey is like an old friend. I have watch so many of his videos, I feel like I know him (even though I really know nothing about him). Catherine, I appreciate the content and your efforts.
One of my favorite videos! Hiked half dome with my college roommate 40 years ago and it was just beautiful. We didn't hike into the beauty you did! Thanks
It was nice to watch you take a trip on a trail that I have also done. From the switchbacks going down to the Tuolumne to the endless supply of waterfalls, you brought back so many familiar scenes. I'm glad you had such a great trip, and thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the information about Joey channel. we missed seeing his videos on youtube.Thank you, Catherine, for this amazing video.
@eduardoestefan872Same here. His was one of my "go-to" channels. Sad that it was removed without warning. I'm tapped out on subscriptions. Oh well...
Thanks. Have missed Joey's vids. I followed him first before catching on to you.
I was wondering where his channel disappeared to. Thanks Cat!
God's handiwork: like an ever changing Valentine card for us. Never gets old.
Joey and Cat show! Hard to beat the collaboration effort.
John Muir would be proud. Thank you for the best backpacking/hiking video I've seen.
Love this comment!

Great to see Joey again! A splendid collaboration and I imagine less back tracking to get a camera on trail. Much gratitude for sharing!
