- I'm pretty sure I found Paradise in Yellowstone National Park on this 5 night/6 day trip into Bechler Canyon. Who knew Yellowstone could look like THIS?! The canyon is absolutely stunning with lush green foliage that is beginning to turn with fall color and the Bechler River running through. We first take a side trip to the gorgeous Dunanda Falls. When I see places like this, I'm amazed that no one in the last hundred years, tried to cut a road in there. In the past, people didn't think the same about preservation as much as we do now. It's also amazing that there can be 10,000 visitors in the park, and you can have this place to yourself. Thankfully, we have people like you that hike into these places with a camera, for those that can't hike that far. For me, it's now on the bucket list.
My two favorite RUclips stars together--Joey and Catherine; doesn't get better than that. Keep hoping for more beer can spills in the backpack from Joey.

I miss Joey's epic hiking/backpacking trips. My favorite was the 2-week trip in Grand Canyon with a couple other guys (John Amorosano was one I believe). I hope he starts up again soon.

Great video in The Bechler District. Spent many days there rambling around the Falls river. Our son was a backcountry ranger at Bechler a few years ago.

My takeaway from this installment of unfettered beauty is that creation doesn't need us. . . not a bit. We are guests in its world and have an obligation to treat it with the utmost respect. Catherine, you're leading the charge, for which we should all be grateful. We need to be custodians of this beauty, and your respectful observance of "one night only" camping even when there's no enforcers around- well, what a display of respect for the custodianship the NPS has endeavored to implement. The timelessness of all this is beyond comprehension. How long has Mr. Bubbles been, well, bubbling, without mankind's "help?" Taking care and protection of these treasured features is all that nature needs. Enjoy it, observe it, leave it alone. It takes care of itself if we respect it like you do. Thanks for a wonderful off-road, off-grid, off digital experience. See you next week.
