Dear mom, you can prevent this problem by tying the strings together before washing the hoodies, love the video nonetheless because I often forget to use my own tip lol!

If you want to use the chopstick method but the hole is too small to fit both the string and chopstick through at the same time, just tape the very end of the string and chopstick together, not overlapping. I did that with an old paintbrush and it worked perfectly!

I was able to restore my brand new hoodie
My hoodies have the metal hoops, the zip ties worked best. I used the smallest one I had in my elec kit.
    * Just a note to anybody using this method, *** be sure to wrap the end of your string around the zip tie and tape it with the very small amount of tape ***
    it works the best. 🤠

If you have a plastic straw like the ones you get from fountain sodas you can put a single cut from the top to the bottom of the straw and place the hoodie string inside of it and the straw will naturally close over the hoodie string so you can pull the string through the hoodie with out needing to use a stapler or tape

if you don't have tape, you can use a paperclip and ziptie by stabbing one end of the paperclip into the string and the other through the hole in the ziptie, then pushing the ziptie through. this is what I did since I didn't have any tape
thank you for the video!!! it was extremely helpful ❤

We always used coat hanger & straightened it out-use cheap hangar that's easy 2 straighten. Weave string around hangar & keep pushing hangar all the way through. Unweave string @ end & hold both ends of string & pull hangar out. Done in 2 minutes.

This was the problem with my winter coat that had a hood string. The material was to heavy for the hair pin or paper clip method.
I tried the 'straw method" That did not work because the straw fit to tight in the gourmet. Then I tried to push the string through with a small metal rod that I cut from an old wire close hanger. That almost worked. I got an inch away from the other side and gave up.
Then! Then I pulled the whole string out, taped the end of the string to the end of the wire ( I used scotch tape) and pushed it through in about 10 seconds. So there you have it. easy peasy.

I use a straightened clothes hanger. Cut and straighten the clothes hanger with pliers, tape the drawstring to one end, then fish it through the hood. You can bend a loop in the clothes hanger so it doesn't snag the hood. Very fast. Then tie knots in the drawstring ends so it doesn't come out again. I also cut them short. They'll be plenty long enough to tie when you draw the hood tight.

If you have knitting needles, those are the best. Use a knitting needle with a small knob. Tape the string to the pointed end and put the knob in first. For smaller holes, use a double pointed knitting needle.
