OH MY GOD QUEYRAS! Thank you so, so much for doing this series! I was frustrated to find that almost all of Queyras' interviews are in French or German, but you've brought us yet another fantastic talk. Thank you for your insights!
Two superb cellists the absolute best !---an exceptional treat !-- I would love to hear them performing together- Queyras' interpretation of the Bach cello suites is superb !
For me -this was the most useful and informative interview- I have been following Queyras's Idagio series on the Suites, now up to the end of the 4th Suite, and you seemed to ask the perfect questions. You coaxed him to reveal some surprisingly tangible elements to sound production and intention that produce the magic that he creates in the suites. What a gift- thank you both.
Another genious episode! I got so much new insight and inspiration from it. I definitely never was a friend of Bach. In fact, because of (too much of) him I put down my cello for several years in my twenties. But I think this happened because I and my teacher approached him in a wrong way. I generally learnt so much musically and technically from following your episodes. Great! Thank you! - And please continue!!!
This series is so interesting, I hope it will never stop!! Despite I just started learning the cello 1 year ago, the concept are so very clear to understand. And this episode is yet still technical but somehow poetic!
Muchas gracias por esto, además de que aprendo mejor inglés, traes a grandes profesionales como tú a tu canal. Muchísimas gracias ❤️🙏 Se aprende bastante
Thank you paplo ...... I am playing cello one year ago And sometimes my thum and elbow hurts...... My question is : can injuries like tendinitis makes you stop playing cello all the life??? ..... I hope you answer my question.....😍😍😍😍
Trank you, that was really interresting. And i had to laugh a lot because of my automated RUclips untertitles. 43:08 - „...thank you so much you Junkie...“ 😂
Hello! Talking cellos it's a very brilliant broadcast, well done! I really would like to see you in a conversation with Robert Cohen, great musician and teacher!
What this modest guy is wrong with is that Bach “didn’t want to have these dance rhythms”, it’s just that they were the accepted, broadly used formats in fashion during his era. I play Hotteterre and he uses the same, so does Händel, etc.
Queyras!
What a amazing guest...
For me Queyras is today‘s best cellist.
@@pianoronald for me too!
Watching J-G talk about Bach makes me so happy... it just means so much.
Jean Guihen is one of my favorite cellist !!

Interesante muchissima, como siemre!
Hola Pablo, con que camara haces tus videos? saludos y gracias.
I noticed that there are so many fans of Jonathan Roozeman in this comment section.
Have a look to Michael Bach's work concerning the slurs in Bach's suites - They are not articulation, they are functional
This was amazing! It will be amazing yo bring Ophélie Gaillard!

Amazing to have an all Bach episode! 😃 Could you invite Maria Kliegel next?

Harmonic narration. Or harmonic exploration. Instead of analysis.
So much knowledge and interesting ideas!
