This video popped up out of nowhere in my recommendations and man, it's best advertisement of a game i ever seen. If this is at least half as fun as you say you just get me as +1 player in daily online stats.
Well, that turns out to be true. Purchased the game and literally first thing i did after tutorial - play online on a tf2mod. Man it's awesome. Then i spent a few hours playing more standart modes and all of them is amazing and more fun compared to pavlov for example. There is a lot less sweatass tryhards and the game itself feels way more polished. I'm still going to pavlov for fun (mosly for counter strike vibes) but contractors is my new favorite vr shooter. Thanks again!
I played Vail, Pavlov, Contractors. I have the 300+ hours in Contractors because of the reason mentioned in the video. It doesn't matter what kind of players you are, the game accommodate them all. Even if there's no challenge, achievement, you can challenge yourself like I would play with X gun instead of what I'm used to. Vail progression feel so fake and it feel like it's there for padding instead of fun. But everytime I manage to learn new weapon in Contractors (from unlimited amount of mods) it feel very satisfying.
My experience with Contractors is cool because I felt I found good people to play with and they sorta made me part of their crew to play maps, on more than just a few occasions. I think if i were to play more often, it's easy to make friends, but I feel too damn tired to log into a VR game after work. If I had more energy or more time, it'd be dope, but I meet cool people and then weeks later, they're usually not online or on my friend's list. But, for just likeliness of someone just being cool and inviting you to continue playing with them after a few matches is high. I'm not sure what I"m trying to say, but it is a good game that makes meeting people quite easy, if you invest the time, and is otherwise a cool shooter to jump into once in a while.
as a former long time Pavlov Shack player I'm getting ready to try contractors for the quest since vankrupt bricked shack and the new versions isnt for quest. from what I've seen it looks like it'll be amazing

1:45 Actually Pavlov devs did the exact opposite of push for competitive play. They spent a year's worth of development resources for an engine upgrade to try and get more casual players back into the game, add some polish, and improve the modkit. However, they just ended up entirely abandoning their community for over a year and pushing out an update with a plethora of issues involving input, sound, gameplay, balancing, and performance. However this isn't all their fault, it's also partially Epic's fault for delivering half baked Unreal Engine 5 VR support. Regardless their intention was to make the game more casual, bringing the game to PS5 and leaning in harder to the "casual" gamemodes, adding official support for Prop Hunt, and improving the modkit.
Pavlov has gotten quite a bit better overtime, pretty decent update arrived not too long ago. Modding isnt too bad, and most players don't even play the standard TDM modes. Mainly SND, TTT, and PUSH which, is my personal favorite. WW2 Push goes pretty hard in a full lobby. Great video bro!
