Upgraded from quest 2 for the quest 3. No regrets, and it was easy to move everything to that one because I lived on Gravity Sketch. Looks so much better on the quest 3.
Got mine on release. All I have a few more dead pixels, and right controller keep gets drift. But I still love it. Especially with Bobo headstrap, and using QGO. with black level enhancer, in experimental, and contrast level boost, in accessibility, games look amazing
For fixing "Stick Drift" I actually recommend CRC Power Lube. It displaces moisture like contact cleaner, but it will also provide a lubricant residue that will prevent it from happening again. Drift happens from the rings of conductive surface material flaking and shorting a position on the sensor. Contact cleaner can dry things out and make the ring material brittle and potentially flake again.
ex-Index owner here and I gotta say the Quest 3 rocks... visuals are great and yeah, the passthrough ain't totally crisp (cost, power) but, the MR games/experiences are an absolute blast and the depth sensing is most excellent for this. Never had so much fun in VR if I'm gonna be honest...

Used to have a Reverb G2 and sold it last year after rumors of WMR shutting down. Looking to get back into pcvr and for my budget, the quest 3 seems to still be the best bang for my buck. I’m sure I’ll use standalone but mainly just want to use it to sim race. pimax crystal light was also on my list but I just can’t justify nearly twice the price.
Would you say PCVR works better on the Quest 3 VS how it was on the Quest 2? I've been using my Quest 2 for the past few years, and it's been nothing but trouble through Link (or Virtual Desktop) to the point where I wonder if I just have a faulty headset.
@@ThrobbGoblin It’s been pretty good with PCVR. I’ve only really had one small issue with it over the past year. Sometimes when i plug in the pcvr cord the headset thinks is some foreign object or debris stuck in the charging port, but usually it only happens once after I turn the headset on and then it works fine. A little annoying but aside from that its definetly better than the quest 2 as a pcvr headset

There’s tracks you can slide on for more points, Yellow balls require both controllers to touch the ball for it count, and a few more cooler ways to combo. The base songs don’t suck. The licensed songs are pretty good. Synth Riders doesn’t tire me out nearly as fast, even on higher difficulties, meaning I can play more of it. @@rjazco51 I mean that goes for really any VR headset on the market. It’s not a problem that’s unique to the Quest 3. It really depends on what triggers motion sickness for each person. If you’re trying a super advanced VR game like Boneworks as your first game, then yeah you’re probably gonna get motion sickness, but the majority of people who start with something like Beat Saber and work their way up will mostly be able to handle those more advanced games. It’s really a case by case basis, and I do agree that those who generally get motion sickness should be wary about trying VR, period.

Thank goodness for an honest review instead of all those ones filled with lies and deceit.
If I put it on before using it ever, would it help prevent that?
@ryannewman8460 I would think so. It certainly can't hurt anything.
Thrill of the fight the only VR game I have constantly played and always go back to after a while.
ex-Index owner here and I gotta say the Quest 3 rocks... visuals are great and yeah, the passthrough ain't totally crisp (cost, power) but, the MR games/experiences are an absolute blast and the depth sensing is most excellent for this. Never had so much fun in VR if I'm gonna be honest...
daaamn that ventriloque stuff is sooo good! and all the points you mention are straight on point!! How they have the audacity to make that headband in colours is beyond reality
I bought 3s yesterday and was annoyed by the blur due to small focus point of the lenses. It just didnt feel a complete product. Got it exchanged with 3 today, even though I had to pay 200 bucks more, I am satisfied now.
ofcorse it's still worth it .. there seems to be alot of dumb vids coming out recently just because of the 3s anyone with half a brain knows the s is stripped back
Certified banger, nice video my guy! 🔥
I love your editing style ❤
First of your videos I’ve watched and instant sub.
This is the best review of the Meta Quest 3.... ever !
I upgraded my router to a brand new one, and my air link still isnt that great
I bought PrismXR Puppis S1 and I have a good connection like a cable.

Would you recommend I buy a Kat walk c2+. Or a haptic Suit ?
@@Victory_bright I have neither of them so idk. Ive only tried a haptic suit once and it was one of the weirdest vr experiences ive had

Hey i learned a lot from this video but i have some questions i am wearing glasses that 14 cm width can it fits in meta quest 3? And by the way i am farsight myopic so will it effects my meta quest 3 display because the screen is right in front of my eyes so i thought i may not need to wear glasses or prescription glasses which is kinda expensive for me to buy
@@Hiro-to6ym I totally forgot to mention this. The face pad has multiple distance settings which allows for space for glasses. It will take some testing but you should be able to find enough space to fit your glasses. If you don’t, I think there are prescription lenses available but I’m not sure.
@@a_random_n3rdvr thanks its reassuring that i can fit my glasses in there since i cant buy prescription glasses its kinda pricey
@@a_random_n3rdvr Quest 3 prescription lenses are manufactured and shipped by five companies worldwide.
Man... I got motion sickness just by watching your video! Had to complete it with my eyes closed lol
Already knew this video is gonna be a banger because of the bone works music
A few days ago I found out you can use a usb c to audio adapter on 3 and 3s
I just ordered one yesterday and its arriving on Friday 🙏
Quest 3s black friday deal at Target and Amazon, 300$ for it with Batman and a 75$ gift card, im down
Would you recommend the Quest 3 for someone like me? Im looking to buy my first headset and been watching loads of reviews like this. I know the 3S is a bit cheaper but I kinda want the nicer lenses and the audio jack lol. What would your advice be to someone like me whos looking to buy their first ever headset.
Thanks!
you have another subscriber now i love your personality and comedy. best review ive seen yet!
the headstrap really is just the facebook face thong
great review day 1's over here yo
Nice quality vid. Subscribed.
What type of data is META stealing via the headset?
my thumb stick drift has gotten so bad games that don’t use the gorilla tag movement or don’t require spatial movement, like beat saber, are completely unplayable. even if i try to push it forward my character won’t even move and i’ll be stuck in a corner. getting a quest 3 next month so im excited to finally play other games(although im top 1% in the world in beat saber😏😏). reason for the rant: i heard controller stick drift and immediately typed this up
I would also like to add that for us aliens with 70+ IPD, quest 3 is pretty much the only choice still… as quest 3s tops out at 68mm
4th wall breaking in this is amazing and so well scripted and edited
Is the Quest 3 still worth it when coming from a PCVR Oculus Rift S?
@@JustAnotherYou2ber 100%. The Quest 3 works fantastic as a PCVR headset but also has the advantage of being standalone if you want to keep up with Quest exclusives like Batman Arkham Shadow, Asgard’s Wrath 2, and Resident Evil 4 VR
@a_random_n3rdvr I have also heard that the wired or tethered experience comes with some caveats. there's video compression artifacts and a short battery life/runtime. Aren't these a possible dealbreaker (won't it be noticable)?
@@JustAnotherYou2ber I haven’t noticed any artifacts in my personal experience, but the battery life can be an issue.
Its up to you if you want to upgrade or not
@@a_random_n3rdvr well that's the thing that could be an issue for me. Not being able to use the hmd wired with the battery not running empty is... annoying😮💨
Truth: Joystick drift comes, goes away , comes back, vr crashes while playing gorrila tag and yeeps hide and seek, ipd slider breaks my nail and does not move, no tracking rings = terrible tracking. That’s it luckily
just got my quest 3 512GB around USD449 in my place during 11.11 sales. i hope this is a good deal
As a new MQ3 user i can say it was worth it, i love this set and to friday will came my extra accesories
I got mine about a week ago. Good product. I'm really enjoying it.
However, the standard strap is utter garbage. It almost makes the headset unusable. Getting a BoboVR S3 Pro when I can afford it.
I sure hope the answer is "yes" since mine arrives later today! lol!
Had mine for a week and like it. $500 for 512 gb is a pretty good deal.
I like the creativity. Also its a very nice video explanation wise aswell. Earned a new sub from me.
... Does anyone know the names of the games played in this video? I just got my first VR headset and am looking for games to fill my library.
@@danlemongton7534 The game shown at that timestamp is “Broken Edge”.
That’s a pretty good starting game. If you’re looking for other great games, I would highly recommend Beat Saber, Superhot, Thrill of The Fight, and The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners (not Onslaught, that one is trash).
TWD does use joystick based movement so it may make you a little motion sick at first, but once your brain gets used to move into VR you should have a blast with it.
Awesome video!
I don't lole the face pad at all. Really rough. Quest 2 pad was cheap. But didnt rub my face like 3.
thanks for the info!
In my very unprofessional opinion, the quest 3 was my 1st move into vr and i love it, my pc aint too qaulity, but i can stream my steam games well and i really enjoy the vr games iv purched over the year of having it, the battarie for me aint bad because i work most of day so i only play for 2 hours a night 😂 i love it but it my 1st and only headset
I’m looking into getting a quest 3
underrated youtuber 😥
Great video!
mann i feel like as a whole itd just be worth getting this over what i currently have ive been using a rift s since they came out
the bovo head strap is the best by farrrrrrrrr
Kiwi straps are better elite straps but bovo straps have a halo design

synth riders over beatsaber? I've never played that, sell me on it
@@space_goat_v1337 Challenge accepted.
So Synth Riders as you can tell from the gameplay uses balls instead of cubes.
Synth riders IMO has more interesting rhythm mechanics than beat saber.
Mixed reality
Much like beat saber, custom songs AND arenas can be modded into it.
AND unlike beat saber, there’s crossbuy between PC and Quest so you don’t have to only choose one platform.
Hope this convinces you
Talk about the quest 3s plz
I got someone at target who can hook me up with a 15% discount plus the $75 gift card.
Total Price would be $180 for the Quest 3s. Im still on the fence though:/
I have been using my shirt since I got my headset since I got it 😭🙏
IF YOU SUFFER FROM MOTION SICKNESS -- do not buy this…. TEST it out first for about one hour if possible… Save yourself lots of money & the hassle of having to return it…..It is an awesome game BUT NOT for people who get motion sickness
I get motion sickness easily. I tried playing GOLF +... Half hour in NO GO.. Took 2 days to get to feeling normal again. Really was hoping it would not affect me...
Loved the video! I have tried both the Q3 and the Q3S and can confidently say that the Q3S is the way to go UNLESS you really want 4k graphics and a headphone jack. I also have never gotten a better headstrap then the default one and have never really seen the need.
on a scale of 1-10, where would you place the 3s’s graphics and the 3’s
@@kobewilliams7482 probably a solid 8 on the Q3, and a 6 on the Q3s, brought down by the lenses
quest 3 is so good now with all these updates since launch. you can connect any hdmi video player/streamer like a firestick or xbox/ps5, contractors VR everyday...free airsoft games lol in call of duty maps is the best. get the bhaptics arms to feel the recoil of every gun, and the vest to feel bullets hitting you. buy the quest pro controllers (tip for tracking problems - increase lighting around your play area, at quest pro controller level. you can turn on a led screen like a phone in front of controllers}. buy a 100 watt powerbank that can charge 100watts. finally get quest optimizer, set cpu and gpu to ultra and refresh rate at 120.
Or Just using pcvr and a valve index

A you lol got me.. the "honest review" was not there. He being very misleading. Well there are those on RUclips that show you the best they can what you will see and it NEVER looks like what this guy says in game. So this PC gaming.. ask can I play PC games and charge at the same time like Facebook/Meta said I could for a few years on the Quest 2. Do I need to get a different cable to plug into the wall and pc so it does not drain as fast?
You do notice all the OTHER VR headsets he talks about right? HP or STEAM or PICO? If its doing so good why was $650 dropped to $450? You notice these "reviewers" don't say a word other them what a great BUY! its like and you can search and watch them talk about when the Quest 2 was out for what over a year and then the price jumped up a $100? What did most of those reviewers say? OMG its still a great buy! What? You stay away form those channels. Those are just KISS KISS META I want free stuff.
Fact.. META VR is not doing good. Those QUEST 3 are still not selling that much at all. Again VR is not dead but there is no huge demand any more thus the lack of other companies putting out more VR headsets. How many videos did you watch over the years of all those NEW VR headsets coming out? Well.. years later where are they? One did and it was about $1000 and those KISS UP reviewers told how GOOD it was but.. yeah... told you all the BAD and OMG QUEST 3 is the best there is!
Just BUY it and test it your self NEVER go by what some youtuber says. So many just kiss up to Meta.. they could careless about you. There are those out there that tell you all the good and bad and you will come back asking people like this guy WHY did you leave all that out? No screen door this time? Oh its there...
You good bro?
