Here's the next Expedition 100 Video for World: ruclips.net/video/w3Zog1LhS5c/видео.html In case you're wondering, I did NOT do this all in one sitting. The challenge took about 3 days to complete so I chose to do it on the Switch version which allowed me to pause the expedition and put it in sleep mode which gave me an opportunity to take breaks. Great video as always Reaver. It was interesting to see how you implemented various challenges throughout the challenge itself and seeing how you had to adjust, might just have to give this a try.
Let's make it bigger: 200 monsters at the Citadel With the next challenges: -Worst control weapon (the weapon you have the less amount of exp on using it for the next 10 monsters) -1 Wyvern Ride ONLY allowed. It's quite the challenge actually to use WR only once against certain monsters. -No spiribird for the first 10 monsters. At the very beginnings you are not allowed to hunt any monster if you have gone to get a single spiribird willingly (this won't count if you approached after evasions or getting thrown close to one). -Weapon Roulette: for the next 10 monsters you will have to fight a spawned monster with a specific weapon but can't use that same weapon against the other spawns that appear during the hunt. FE: used Switch Axe on a Bazelgeuse while the map had Volvidon and Arzuros. You won't be allowed to use Switch Axe again until Volvidon AND Arzuros are down. The list of monsters to hunt will be the same but with some changes: -4 Subspecies at least 2 times (Flaming Espinas, Auroracanth, Pira Kadaki, Seething Juice and BO Bishaten) -All 3 Lords -The OG Elder Dragon 3 (Teostra, Kushala and Chameleos) twice -2 Scorn Magnamalo -2 Silver Rathalos -Up to 100 small monsters (for gathering materials) -5 mantles obtained on dropped items -Up to 10 Elder Dragons (not allowed to count Elder 3, meaning only Malzeno, Valstrax and pray for Shagaru) The special objectives will be: -Find the rare local animal of the map 2 times if possible (yup the rare animal that spawns at the top of that tower in the iced mountain) - Collect up to 25k points - Use at least 3 times every help you can from the map (Blast Toads, Sleep Toads, Marionette Spider). What you think for the challenge?
This actually inspired me to get back into rise and hunt 100 monsters. Also I can see players trying to see how many monsters they can beat in one seating
It has always disappointed me how little materials you get from expeditions and what you did get here seems very low for hunting 100 monsters. Great video. Idk why Bob didn't show up at all but maybe it really can't spawn in the citadel during expeditions
yeah sadly i think its capped cause i did this too, i did 113 monsters and only got rewards from the first 5 i hunted, and even after 113 monsters i also had some that didnt even spawn at all
holy moly min 0:43 that barioth was very big! That move flaming Espinas has that can one shot, that moce can be countered with the switch axe counter, I have done it a few times. Flaming Espinas: HOW DARE YOU DITCH ME, I THOUGH WE HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL, I THOUGH YOU LOVED ME! YOU HAD TO FINISH ME FIRST, NOT SECOND, IM NOT A SECOND OPTION TO ANYONE! Also there is a reward cap limitation, i found that long ago, when i hunted around 20 monsters in an expedition, turns out your reward window gets completely full with around 8 to 12 monsters (maybe a bit less, dont remember to be honest) once it gets full, if you hunt more monsters the rewards of the first monsters start being replaced with the rewards of the new monsters you recently hunted. Also, ignore Girlfriend Espinas Above, she's just mad you ignored her to go after another monster
Did you check the items box to see if the rest of the materials were there? The reward screen is one thing but the total amount inside the items box is linked to all the materials you get from the quests
I didn’t know your channel but honestly it’s really amazing content you have and so original ! You deserve much more subscribers definitely! Cheers from France 🇫🇷 !
I know nothing about monster hunter but this video was still really entertaining and easy to understand what was going on. Makes me want to play monster hunter…
How about making the challenge a few levels harder? Get all carves from all monsters that appear in a locale in a single expedition. This does not include reward only materials, monsters that share materials do overlap (for example, getting a bird wyvern gem from one monster counts as getting it for another), it can be on any rank of difficulty and you also have to get small monster carves, including felynes. I don't expect anyone to do this, nor should anyone attempt it unless they really like testing their patience against the desire sensor.
I wish the rewards box sort of filtered in a way that materials would get overridden by rarer materials. Like a Wing will override a Cortex. And a Mantle will override a Wing. Of course within the same monster pool, so you can't have a F. Espinas Mantle override a S. Rathalos Wing. I know that would be asking A LOT but hunting so many monsters in a row where you can't guarantee the monsters showing up each time besides the first 3 in the quest pickup, that seems like it would be a reasonable trade off.
@@MH_MostWanted if i remneber correctly, in 4U you cant re-stock im sure, so if want to do it in 4U you need something to heal you up at long terms, like a hunting horn... i dont know if the items respawn with time tho.
It's pointless to fight more than say 5 or 10 monsters in expedition bc your rewards box is limited in space ... so it eventually fills up and you can't obtain any more rewards unless your somehow fighting the same monster over and over then the pieces can stack
I got another idea, Reaver. How about you and I see who's better at catching Monsters? The rules are simple: we hunt over 100 monsters in Monster Hunter: World and add up the Research Points we get for fighting them. The first round, we hunt 25 Low Rank Monsters, adding the base totals for every quest or expedition. The second round, we hunt 25 High Rank Monsters, meaning the Research Point values for each Hunt/Expedition are double. Finally, we have the Final Round: a gauntlet of 50 Master Rank Monsters for triple the Research Score. We must only capture monsters, or the points will be null and void; this will especially apply to Research Points we get on Expeditions. If one monster dies or leaves the locale during the expedition, no Research Points will be counted, even if you manage to capture other monsters. All Research Points will be tallied up and accumulated at the end of each round. Whoever has the most by the end of the Final Round... will be crowned the Capture King! EDIT: For the sake of the challenge, we will exclude encounters with Elder Dragons and small monsters; since they cannot be captured, they wouldn't count towards the challenge. And your Score revolves around the Research Points you get for hunting Large Monsters, only.
